Damon is a man that wants to keep to himself and be as private as possible but with living in a small town as he does that’s hard to achieve especially with Kendra always around trying to as close as possible. Elise is new to town and is trying to mind her own business until a particular bad boy catches her eye, then all bets are off. This story is intense and will have you on the edge throughout the book. If you’re looking for an action packed, suspense filled read that has a great blend of romance and lust poured in then this is the story for you.

Amazing

Damon is this rough and tough Alpha that turns all the ladies heads.
Elise is new to the mountain area, and as soon as she spots Damon it was on.
Just with most small towns, there is always a mean girl type.
Her name is Kendra.
Kendra tries to interfere in their relationship.
Definitely family drama as well.
This is a new side to Mr. Wolf, and I live it.

Romantic suspense is one of my favourite tropes and I thought it was a good idea to jump into this story blind. This author is new to me and I found a lot of good points in this book that makes it a fascinating read.

Elise Morgan is the new girl in Mount Hood, wanting a fresh start. She’s a city girl who is still getting the feel of the small town vibe where everybody knows everyone’s business. When she comes across Damon, a mysterious guy who draws her attention like a magnet, she will do anything to get to know him. For someone who is in her twenties, she is a bit naive and quite trusting.

Damon is the local bad boy but no one really knows his issues except for the unconfirmed rumours floating around him. His instant attraction to the new girl makes him feel vulnerable and there are things in his life that need to be addressed first before thinking of hooking up with Elise.

Elise and Damon’s story is told in dual points of view and has a good plot. My only issue is that Elise’s character who although is in her mid-twenties and coming from Los Angeles is quite naive and jumps easily into dangerous situations. Either she is too trusting or plain reckless I just had trouble connecting to her character. Damon, on the other hand, is the brooding alpha male, mysterious and dangerous. He is the perfect bad boy to Elise’s nice but simple(ton) girl persona, [sorry but when you read the part about the ransom money you will know what I mean].

Kendra and her sidekicks as the antagonists with their “mean girl” antics somehow don’t correlate to their age. The plot thickens when Damon’s father appears to be the main reason of all the action and drama in this book, but I wished that there had been more back story provided by the author to shed more light to the father and son relationship.

The overall plot and suspense was good enough to grab my attention and finish this book even though to my mind of thinking, the author could have given Elise more IQ points to make me like her persona more. I will definitely have a look at this author’s other books as I find his narrative style quite interesting.

4 Star Review Damon by Alex Wolf

Damon’s reputation precedes him in the small town of Mt Hood, he calls home. He is totally an alpha who attracts the attention of the majority of women. The more he holds himself away from commitment and relationships the more intrigued they all become. However Damon has no intention of becoming involved seriously, that is until he meets Elise.

Elise, who is new to town also falls for Damon.
Of course the path to true love never runs smoothly as Kendra , a local woman tries to come between Damon and Elise whilst Damon’s father causes issues as well.

This was an quick read that was scorchingly hot. The chemistry between Damon and Elise was off the charts, their connection so much more than either of them expected.

A slight departure from previous books by Alex Wolf as this one is darker and more intense. There is also some danger and intrigue and I enjoyed the ride.

Mysterious Damon is what all the girls want!

Damon is not looking for love and he doesn't do relationships, keeping very much to himself to the point where no one knows where he lives or what he does. Right now, what he does is to save his father, even if it means breaking a few laws. But Damon's not immune to a woman's charms, especially the new girl in town, Elise. One look across the room and he knew he had to have her. She is in town for a new job, albeit temporary. One look at Damon and she can't get him out of her head even if her new "friend" has made it known that he is hers. Drama and danger are the name of the game in this book, and heat, don't forget the heat. Because as any fan of Alex Wolf knows, Steam is an ever present theme!!

What do you get when you cross a bad boy with a sweet girl...explosive results 💥

Damon is the talk of Mt. Hood. He's reported to have done some sordid activities. He's also the ladies eye candy. But no one knows the real Damon. Dark, secretive, and sexy as sin but he runs much deeper. But sweet little Elise puts a pep in his step. Timing is everything and unfortunately, Damon is short of that. And Elise is only here for a short time as well.

Elise can't turn off her thoughts or feelings for Damon but he's a bit dangerous. One look, a touch, a possibility and Elise is willing to take her chances. But secrets, psychos, and jealous vermin are plentiful.

As with each of Alex Wolf's book, this one is also well written. The plot was a bit too intense for me but I did complete the reading. Much prefer romance to violence. I liked Damon and wanted things to work out for him. The same for Elise. Still love your Cockiest series best, and looking forward to something similar in the future.

She was looking for the quiet life as she waited for her dream job. All he wanted was to save his family and get out of the hole he was in. Total opposites, drawn to one another. She was light and he was darkness.

You’ve got a small town, with a small town mentality, the bad guys coming for what they want and the town’s popular daddy’s girl who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Elise and Damon face all these obstacles once they find eachother. However, nothing deters Elise. She’d risk everything for him.

The story had alot going on. However through it alll you felt the attraction between Elise and Damon. Their connection was instant and their love became unbreakable. This story had drama, suspense and a whole lot of heat! Damon and Elise were HOT!

Damon was a quick, very HOT, read! Damon and Elise’s instant attraction and chemistry was hard for me to believe at first. I’m always skeptical of the stories where the characters fall in love with each other in a day or week. It seems unrealistic, but the way this book was written made you believe in their love. I also loved seeing a little glimpse into a couple of the side characters.
Great, stand-alone book!

It’s hard to be honest about this one because I really like the author. The truth is, there was nothing I enjoyed about this. The storyline was too far fetched and the characters fell flat for me. They weren’t believable. I will try another book by this author. You can’t knock it out of the park every time.

In every small town, reputation does count and for Damon it’s no different. Let’s ask all the ladies in town? :)

Although he has no intention of that attention or to become involved... Elise does connect. Some light into his darkness.

Quick read, dangerous hot and intense.

If you ever want to cleanse your palate like I need,

"It's not like I'm throwing myself at you"
"Really? It seems like that's exactly what you're doing."
"And you don't have any control? Do you kiss every woman who might be attracted to you?"
"No. You're not every woman."

Oh, how I love the misunderstood bad boy!

Damon Sanders. The loner. The one with the murderous reputation. The one everyone stays away from. Good. He prefers it that way. His life is a mess - full of danger. Letting anyone in could spell disaster and death. Forced to skim the line of legality to save his family from dangerous people, love is not even a conceivable notion for him. Until her. What is it about this woman that draws him in like a moth to a bug zapper? He knows this can't end well , but he can't stay away from her. Can he find a way to have her, and keep her from the mess that is his life? When she makes a decision that puts her in the cross-hairs, can he get to her in time to save her? If he loses her now, there'll be nothing left for him to keep breathing. He can't let that happen.

Elise Morgan liked this little town. She could see herself happy here, working in the small clinic in town while she waited for her dream job to come through in New York. She never planned on him. Everything about him screamed trouble. Danger. Warning. But despite her good senses, she couldn't keep from wanting to know everything about him, explore every inch of him. She'd heard the rumors, but something told her there was more to this man that what the towns people whispered about him. Once she gets inside that carefully constructed wall he's put around himself, she knows she'll never want to leave. But, when danger comes calling for her, will she ever get the chance to see him again? Has she lost everything?

I enjoyed this book! Damon is my favorite kind of hero -misunderstood, self-loathing, and feeling undeserved of anyone's love. How wrong they all are!!! I would have liked a bit more about the trouble befalling his family - a little more background in to the situation. Overall, a great read. I mean, really, who doesn't love the bad boy/straight-laced woman romance?

Dark but with a brilliant light

DAMON
is a departure from the books that Alex wolf usually writes, this one is a lot darker. But guess what? He's just as brilliant in writing this genre as well. Told in dual POVs, Alex has ensured that Damon will crawl under your skin and be totally unforgettable.

Damon Sanders has a reputation of being a bad boy. He's popular amongst the women of Mt Hood, but he steers clear of commitment and relationships, only making him more of an enticement. Damon has issues to deal with and these become even more important when he set his eyes on the new girl in town ... Elise Morgan.

Elise Morgan is a city girl who has moved to the small town of Mt Hood for a temporary position. From the moment she sees Damon she is determined that he is going to be hers. She's still trying to get used to small town life, however Damon has such a effect on her that she decides he is worth it.

Damon and Elise's story is simply beautiful. Even though they find love instantly, the way in which Alex writes their story makes it believable and realistic. Of course in a story such as this there has to be a baddie or two, say hello to Kendra and her "mean girls" and Damon's father. Life and love is never meant to be easy, and these two certainly don't have it easy.

Damon was a really enjoyable read. There's drama, angst, happiness, hot steamy scenes, and a lot of understanding. Definitely a story to be read.

This book had me enthralled from the beginning set on a small mountain town with close knit nosy neighbours nothing gets past anyone but the elusive Damon has them all guessing. A private man with an aura that screams sex and power the woman want him where as the men just want to be him! He keeps his life under lock and key and is quite happy to remain that way until one look from behind the pages of a book and those eyes have him just about on his knees, but he has no time for anyone else just now his life is a mess and everyday it seems like there’s a new battle to fight!

Elsie needed a fresh start and a job offering lead her to the quaint mountain town but nothing quite prepared her for meeting the man of the mountains Damon or his charm that seemed to make her forget herself repeatedly! When she gets wrapped up with the local IT girls it seems like everything is against her but she learns that sometimes you need to take a step back before you can really go forward her only hope is her hearts still intact by the time she’s done!

A fantastic tale of love, loyalty and trust that left me wanting so much more.

Damon by Alex Wolf

Elisa Morgan moved from Los Angels to the small town of Mount Hood to work in a clinic while she waited for her dream job in a pediatric hospital in New York. The people seem friendly then she meets the town "social elite" Kendra Wellsworth and her little side kicks. They maybe in their twenties but they act like they are in high school with their snobby mean girl club. Then with one glance her heart raced when she saw a man at the bar. He had dark wavy hair, tan skin wore a leather jacket and looked like a badass. She learned that his name was Damon. She found herself drawn to him, dreaming about him. Apparently Kendra had other plans for her that didn't include Damon.
Damon is a mysterious man rumored to be dangerous the town bad boy. All the women are drawn to him but he doesn't do relationships. He's a more one night stand kind of guy. Life has been hard for him nothing ever goes his way so he's determined to not let anyone in his life. That is until a new girl shows up in town.
Can they overcome the evil that lies ahead to find their happily ever after or will previous decisions destroy them before they ever begin.

2.5 rounded to 3 stars

I have read every book from Alex Wolf and loved them all…except this one. I never really connected with any of the characters. I kept pushing forward, hoping it would hit that point where it all fell into place for me, but I just couldn’t get there. I loved the premise, loved and was excited for where the story could go, loved the drama and suspense. I don’t know exactly what it was, maybe it was Kendra and her clan, the whole high-school mean girls feel. These were twenty-something-year-old women who acted like fifteen-year-olds. Then Kendra and her blatant immaturity and just plain stupidity when it came to her actions with Damon, it just killed it for me.

Will I continue to read more from Alex Wolf, ABSOLUTELY! Just because this one didn’t do it for me, doesn’t mean I would give up on his work. He is an amazing writer and has published some wonderful books and I know there will be many more to come and I can’t wait to read what’s next. And don’t forget, these are only my opinions, you may love it and think I’m crazy!

This is sadly not my favorite book from Alex Wolf. This was a insta love story and it was fast. I enjoyed the storyline and it had a lot of promise. Damon is very mysterious and he fights his demons alone and enjoys being very grumpy. However, he sees Elise when she comes to town and is attracted to her. She has secrets of her own that she's trying to prove herself. They do learn to trust each other, although sometimes I found it hard to connect with both of them. Elise seemed very meek and didn't really know what to do and Damon just struck me as a very mysterious person but the pull push between their attraction just disconnected a bit for me in a lot of places. And there just seemed a little bit of unfinished business with the circumstances that we're pushing these two apart. if you enjoy a insta live and read quick-paced books with a good storyline you'll like this story. if you enjoy any of his books you'll still enjoy this one. This is my honest review for book I volunteered to read

Damon lives in a small town. Gossip always surrounds him. The preppy high school girls are always around Damon. He can't seem to get rid of these ladies. They are 22 and still acting like the high school mean girls. Either you are with them or you are against them. Damon comes and goes as he pleases. He is here one day and gone the next. All kinds of rumors surround I'm and this small town.

A new lady has joined the small town, Elise. The mean girl click tries to make her feel welcomed. But, what makes you feel more welcomed than getting a rufi in your drink? Elise doesn't know which one did it to her, but, she had the date rape drug put into her drink. Elis knows the ladies spew nothing but lies, but, is there any chance what they are saying is actually true?

Are the rumors about Damon true? Are the mean girls just saying things about him to get Elise upset? Will the small town gossip get to her and make her leave?

4.5 Stars for Damon
Bad Boy Damon is the man every girl wants but what happens when he catches the eye of a sweet girl called Elise, a girl who is light where he is darkness, she is water and he is oil and we all know oil and water should not mix !!
Damon has secrets and no one really knows the sinfully hot man who wants to keep his life private a task which isn’t easy in a small town and it gets even harder when Elise moves into town. Elise try’s her best to ignore her feelings for Damon problem is once he catches her eye there is no going back.
Secrets, sizzling chemistry all add to this intense thrilling read and this book has the perfect mix of passion, love and suspense, it’s a page turn that will keep you reading to the very last line. This is a very different story to previous books I have read by this author and I have to be honest and say I struggled at the start but I’m so glad I kept going with Damon and Elise love story, great stand-alone

Damon is a man who keeps to himself, as he's not really a people person, but he lives in a small town so it's bit more tricky. Especially since he has the town princess trying to bag him, and as her no one tells her no, he can't seem to get her to leave him alone. Elise is a newcomer, who has caught his eye, though he tries to leave her alone, while he's caught her eye as well, so you already know this bad boy & new girl are in for a complicated ride. See, Damon is a very intense story filled with twists that had my f-bombs dropping like crazy, because frankly, I didn't know what was going to happen next. So I also spent most of the story on the edge of my seat when I got a sense of what was going on. It took me a bit to get into the story, and once I did, it took me for an action packed, suspense filled ride that I do so love to buckle up for! Needless to say, I will be reading more of Alex Wolf in the future! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Damon and Elise had that instant connection across the room in the lodge of a small town. Elise was looking for the quiet of a small town after the craziness of LA and Damon was just trying to live his life alone and unnoticed. Neither got what they were looking for, but both found what they needed. Damon is the roughest character in an Alex Wolf book to date and I quite like him, he was a good guy that had to make decision he normally wouldn't to save his family. Elise is one tough cookie who got more than she bargained for with Damon, but handled it just the same. This book is very well written and quite enjoyable. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for an honest review.

Exciting

Damon is the mysterious, brooding, stay to himself, gossiped about person in town. He has trouble and is in over his head with some bad people.
Elise is new to the small town and has her sights set on finishing her job there and hopefully get her dream job in New York.
When they see each other in the local lodge it's Insta sparks. Neither one understands what's going on. They're just drawn to each other.
Damon's life is complicated enough and he tries to stay away. To keep her safe and the rest of his family.
When their lives get more complicated and entwined, Elise wants to help she feels the pull to help him. Obstacles get in their way, jealousy, danger, evil.
This is a heart pounding suspenseful read that leave you on the edge of your seat.

A suspenseful romance book, Damon is trying to sort out a sticky situation when he sees Elise. I found the unfolding of the story in the first quarter a bit choppy, but the story flows better soon after this point. Damon's portrayal is inconsistent, and Elise gets ensconced in the mean-girl community fairly quickly for someone who is just passing through. I didn't feel like I connected with the characters well-I found a couple of the secondary characters more memorable than Elise.
So while this book is a miss for me, I have read other works by the author that I have enjoyed, and will try next time.

Living in a small town has it’s ups and downs. The upside, good work experience while waiting for her dream job to come through. That’s all Elise was looking for. She didn’t intend to be dragged into the drama queen of the town nor did she think that a man like Damon would have such a strong hold on her.

Damon is all man and more. All he wanted to do was save his dad not fall for the stunning beauty sitting quietly in the lodge. Insta love is a simple way to explain the pull that is Elise and Damon. Some good twist that went by super fast, and the storyline with the dad was missing a few things for me but other than that, it was good.

This is the first time I’ve read anything by this author and I will be reading more! Once their eyes connected across the room, Damon and Elise, had an instant connection. She was just trying to find a quiet town in contrast to the liveliness and hustle and bustle of LA whilst Damon was just trying to blend in. It’s sad to say while neither of them got what they wanted they sure in the hell got what they needed. All Damon wanted was to save his dad he didn’t expect to fall for the stunning woman across the lodge. The only negative thing I have to say about this book but the author portrayed Damon inconsistently sometimes, but that in no way will prevent me from reading other works by this author. Overall I thought it was a great story and I recommend this book.

Damon is cocky and that bad boy that always gets what he wants. Elise is looking for a quiet town and a quiet life...

But when Damon catches eye of her shortly after she arrives let’s just it’s all over with from there!!!

I loved this story! And this side of Alex!

Damon is the mysterious bad boy, Elise is the quiet new girl and Kendra is the not nice queen bee of the town. Damon and Elise have some crazy chemistry but Damon's problems get in the way. I had a hard time with Damon and his past and what he was doing while reading. He was too much of a bad boy and just couldn't get into it. This was a personal issue for me so if you like the leading man to be a bad boy then this book is for you. It was a great read just not my favorite by Alex Wolf.

Damon was a fantastic story. Wolf just knows how to grab you and pull you into the pages until you stay lost until you read The End. He keeps you with his colorful but realistic characters that you fall in love with. Then the story itself was amazing. Damon and Elise had one struggle after another and with Damon's issuess are so much more but how will the young Elise deal with those. Must read in every way.

This seemed to be quite different from Alex Wolf's other novels and I've got to say that Damon was not for me. I'm not quite sure why, but I found it difficult to finish although I soldiered on!

Despite its length, I don't feel that anything ever properly developed. The last 20% of the book was the best and I'm glad I made myself finish it because I feel that I at least left with a feeling of 'that turned out ok.'

I'm looking forward to what Alex Wolf produces next!
