Elanor Tisdale's mother recently remarried, and it has turned their family's world on its head.

Starting out life as a happy, middle-class, run-of-the-mill family, tragedy struck, changing their lives forever.  Forced to grow up too quickly, Elanor found herself one of the main caregivers to her two younger siblings, caring more about their happiness and comfort than her own.  After the wedding, the Tisdale family moves into Arthur's somewhat cold and lifeless manor house the size of which is beyond their wildest dreams.

As often is the case, however, this new lifestyle comes with new rules as well; and they are not easy for the three Tisdale siblings to swallow.  Elanor's new stepfather hires a tutor to help the siblings adjust to their new lives and teach them about the expectations that will be placed upon them.  The darkly handsome and mysteriously quiet Jasper Cole enters the household unaware of all the forces at play within the new family.

Can the Tisdales change a household that lives too far in the past?  Will Elanor be able to move beyond her earlier heartbreaks to open her heart to love?  Or will traditions and old-school expectations tear them all apart?

A new Author to me and I want to read the next book in the Wynbourne Manor series. A well written book with a great storyline the pages flow smoothly from one to the other. This story makes you feel like you are there watching it happen. The description of the clothes for the masked ball was so well done I could picture them in my minds eye. Jasper Cole and Elanor Tisdale will have a lot to go through before they get their happy ending ,the way the families come together was also very good to read. I recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
