If there was ever a Princess with a crooked crown, I was she. My indiscretions were well known, my reputation less than clean. A pawn in Daddy’s games, I played my part well.
A single act of desperation brought my world tumbling down around me, the consequences bringing a beast to my door. One adamant on leaving me broken.
I hadn’t counted on the one thing I’d never had being my saving grace.
Love from a man who had yearned to know me for more years than I understood.
Love from a man who’d been left irrevocably scarred by the memories of his past.
Both men were different, their intent the same. But I was Charlie’s princess, the Boss’s daughter, and I’d learnt to live behind a wall of armour from an early age.
I didn’t know if I was ready. If I was worth it. If I deserved it. Until the little boy with the big eyes stole my heart.
This is my story. This is my fight. Truths were unfolding whether I was ready or not.
This is the death of a princess.
*Please note - Craving Truths is the 3rd book in The Razer Series and is NOT a standalone. Contains content only suitable for 18+, including graphic scenes.
Klaire is a multi genre author who has a passion for reading and more often than not, can be found with her nose stuck in a book. She loves angsty, dark reads but is not averse to the fun, light hearted side either. Typically, a romance reader, of most genres/sub genres, her passion for literature and written words goes back to her childhood when she always dreamed of writing and telling the world her stories.
Not quite a stay at home mum, Klaire has a busy life which she shares with her husband of twenty-five years and her little monkey boy. Her adult children have flown the coop already, but still manage to come home for ‘mama’s lasagne.’ EOL Nurse and business owner are her daytime realities.
Avid eater of mayonnaise and chips, anti-get fitter, lover of cheesy music and a fierce advocate of things close to her heart. She has a bucket list as long as her arm, which includes sky diving and visiting Cambodia. And wants to travel the world.
Great believer in second chances, insta-love (because her love is a product of that), fairy tales and monsters… Klaire just wants to write all the words for you.
The Razor series is one of my favourites. K.A. Sands has a knack of grabbing my attention in the very first chapter of her books and holding it throughout, and Craving Truths was no different.
I have to admit I have become quite attached to the characters in this series. I have enjoyed learning about them and seeing where their journey through life is taking them. They each have a past which they haven’t let define them and to see them move on and become the people I have grown to love has been an absolute pleasure. They are close knit, will do anything to look after their own and have a presence that others just can’t ignore. Craving Truths is Chrissie’s story. It is book three in the series (with some additional novellas too) and I feel the books must be read in order - you will have a better understanding of the story if you know the history between the characters.
I’m finding it hard to write this review because I don’t want to give anything away. Chrissie has a past and she is no ‘Snow White’ and I believe her upbringing has had so much to do with that. She has had to survive in a world that none of us could ever imagine being a part of, and has suffered at the hands of those who should be protecting her…. directly and indirectly. In the past she has only had herself to rely on and she has always had to watch her own back. The synopsis of this books tells you that there are two men who want to be there for Chrissie, to have her in their lives and to support and help her. I found it sad to witness Chrissie believing that she is not worthy of being loved because of who she feels she is and what she has done in her past. However this book had me rooting for her to find the happiness that I do feel she most certainly deserves.
This story is angsty and gritty and will have you on the edge of your seats at times. It’s a real page turner as you will want to know what happens next. Be prepared for some dark moments but also be prepared to see just how amazing people can be - putting others before themselves and seeing the best in individuals and giving them second chances.
I would recommend Craving Truths without a second thought. I love a story where there are twists and turns that keep me guessing throughout, and this book certainly ticked that box. You will meet some new characters in this book that I intentionally haven’t named in my review and I hope that this isn’t the last we will see of them. I honestly don’t think there will ever be a time when I would not enjoy spending time with any of the Razor Series family and I would like to think that there is still so much more to come.
I absolutely loved reading Craving Truths. It was great getting Chrissie's story from all the bad stuff she was dealt by Charlie and the crappy stuff she did to others, was nice to see her change like Shaun did, not without a few rocky bumps along the way mind you. Warren is a great character just typical run of the mill person brought into the chaos not knowing the full extent of the dealings that was happening behind the scenes from his own past. This is a must read for the The Razer readers and a little extra just after the end which i want more off.
This series just keeps getting better, each book is more gripping than the last. I couldn’t wait to dive in and reconnect with the characters from this series, who I have grown to love, and sometimes hate as well.
This is Chrissie’s story and the third in the Razorlight series. Chrissie has a hard exterior, she needs it to survive in her father's world and it took me a while to like her if I am honest. However, as the story progressed I came to feel for her and what she was going through. I really wanted for this princess to find her happily ever after!
As with all K.A. Sands stories, this one is gritty, hard-hitting and definitely doesn’t hold back on any emotion. I was gripped from page one and needed to know how this story ended. This is a definite must read but you do need to read books one and two first, this is definitely not a standalone story.
