If only she could convince Master Joe, they were perfect together. But all he sees is the playful sub who gets into all sorts of jams trying to help her friends. Janey knows that Master Joe can take her submission to the next level, but he’s pegged her as a good time sub, rather than one serious about exploring her submission. When the opportunity arises to spend more time with Master Joe and track down her old boss, Janey jumps at the opportunity to show how mature she can be.
Joe Green is a Dom who only ever plays on short contracts.
Preferring to believe from his painful childhood that he has nothing to offer a woman than a few scenes and some aftercare. Master Joe keeps all his liaisons at The Cage short and sweet, giving the subs orgasms they never forget, while keeping his shields against emotional entanglements firmly in place. The ex army soldier turned private security guy believes he’s as happy as fate will allow. He’s turned Janey, the sub with the sweet smile and natural submissive instincts, down every time she’s asked him to play. He’s too rough and hard for a sub like her.
We met master Joe when he was protecting Calla Jones from dangerous assassins and we learned he was loyal and steadfast to a fault. Master Flynn and Master Linkin send Master Joe and Janey on a mission to find Master Lovett, Janey’s old boss, and bring him back into the Vancouver fold of friends who miss him dearly. Can Janey convince Master Joe they belong together on the road trip? Or will Joe finally show Janey his hard ass Dom side and scare her away for good? Find out in Play Me Close.
I hope all of you have enjoyed reading The new releases of the Dom’s of the Cage series as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them!
I will pack the next year with even more adventures for our subs and Doms as the series continues!
The first novella of Break Even will be ready for release on February 22, 2019. This book continues the story of Detective Chamberlain and his pursuit of Melanie Bancroft.
I’ve schedule Play Me Close a full-length novel featuring Joe Green and Janey for release on May 30th, 2019.
I will release the second part of Break Even on August 30th, 2019.
Janey's long had a crush on Master Joe, but he's rejected her offers to play many times. So when her boss asks her and Joe to go on a mission to find a missing fellow Master, Janey knows it will be awful to be in such close confines with a man who wants nothing to do with her. Or is that actually the case? Perhaps Joe longs for Janey as much as she longs for him, but has demons that will not let anyone become close to him.
This is a well-written story and both characters were obviously into each other from the get go. I can't say I really liked Joe, but I loved Janey and how she always stood up and tried to do the right thing for herself and others. I like how big her heart was and how she mouthed off when she felt necessary. A woman after my own heart :) I wanted a lot more groveling on Joe's part at the end, but aside from that, I really liked this story. I'm looking forward to more in this series.
I received an advanced reader copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. This is Janey and Master Joe's book. Janey has wanted to scene with Master Joe for forever, but he hasn't returned her interest. She is asked to assist Master Joe in locating the only person Master Flynn and Calla want to perform their collaring ceremony. Only problem is, he doesn't want to be found. This book is full of fun, adventure and of course, steam. A strong 4.5 star read!
Yay for more of The Cage! I love this series so much and I hope it continues forever. I check constantly for the pre-release dates of P Nelson's books and break into my happy dance for every release. I can't recommend this series enough! I think the books are best read in order, but this one could probably be enjoyed either way. I'm not recommending that, though.I fell in love with Joe and Janey as a couple from the very beginning. Janey is so honest about being a sub, and how much she wants to be Joe's sub, that I sometimes wanted to smack Joe for being an idiot. Joe is very stubborn and plays his cards close to his chest. Janey is a lot more open, and in some ways seemed stronger than Joe. I loved that she wasn't loud or aggressive, but she still had this powerful cor of not backing down. The relationship between them is one of tenderness and passion, and there are a lot of sexy moments. I loved that the story took place away from The Cage because it made Janey seem even more vulnerable showcased that iron will in a way that tugged at my heartstrings. Another thing I loved was that even though the sense of danger that played such a role in the rest of the series wasn't as prominent there is still a mystery to solve and questions to be answered. I loved the pace the romance took, the playfulness of the two of them together, and the scorching moments of intense passion.
P Nelson has created a wonderful world that is full of characters that have become friends. The heat, humor, excitement, and HEA are everything I desire in a book and I'm anxiously waiting for the next one.
I have to say, the longer P Nelson writes her Doms of The Cage series, the more I like it. I was especially happy to see a couple of secondary characters get their story in this book.
Janey has been mentioned in previous books but she's never had the spotlight on her. We learned in a previous book that she was submissive, but we really had no clue about which Dom she might be pining for.
We met Joe Green when he was guarding Calla in "As If The Whole World Were Watching". He was just a tad bit tough, loved his coffee and donuts, and was a well trained soldier working for Linkin (known to readers of The Doms Of the Cage series as a bad-ass who owns and runs his own security firm). What we really didn't know about was Joe's Dominant side. In this book, with a little "help" from Calla and Flynn, Joe and Janey travel into the U.S. in search of Janey's former boss from The Feather Flogger, which was closed when a serial killer was hunting submissives in a previous book.
And that's as far as I'll go, because I refuse to write spoilers. I will only say that Joe and Janey together are like Toast and Jam, maybe even Coffee and Cream. But the best is probably Sugar and Spice. If you like true BDSM, not made up "playing" at BDSM, you'll enjoy the scenes that P Nelson has written into this book. It also gives the characters of this series a chance to see some of the United States. It is a sexy romp down the West Coast and I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED A COPY OF "PLAY ME CLOSE" * THE DOM'S OF THE CAGE SERIES) OMG!!!!! This story takes you on quite the journey for Master Joe as Jane there going in a mission to find Master Lovett who doesn't want to be found. Janey has always wanted to scene with Joe but he always turns her down thinking she can't handle his type of kink told they have to go on this mission together to Joes not wanting her along. The journey is very interesting on the way they go to different clubs where Master Lovett has been in hopes to find him amped bring him home. Calla and Master Flynn want him to do their collaring ceremony for them so they can plan there wedding. On this trip Master Joe finally agrees to a contract with Janey until the mission ends she's always had feelings for him and to his surprise Janey is stronger and the kind of woman he could have 24/7. This was such a well written story I just love the "Cage Series" and all the characters are do interesting, entertaining, captivating, with humor and twists that keep you turning page after page it's a must have book I highly recommend. AWESOME AWESOME READ.
I've been a fan of P Nelson's The Dom's Of The Cage Series from the very beginning and have been with all the characters through the ups and downs of this series. Janey has been a background character throughout and it was nice to see her finally get a tale all of her own, even better that it was with the broody and domineering Master Joe!
These two simply work. At times you get frustrated by the back and forth between these two as they navigate what works for each other, but eventually they realise they are simply a great fit and on the way. It's fun seeing them explore outside of their lives at The Cage and push each other's limits in more ways than one.
Although this story is linked to the overall arc, it can be read as standalone and I feel it's a bit of a step aside from all the drama of late that naturally befalls those of The Cage family. There are some glaringly obvious editing issues but putting those aside, this is actually, as always an enjoyable read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.
Janey Chan has developed a huge crush on Joe Green, a dom at the BDSM club where she works. Janey has approached Master Joe in the club manu times, but re refuses to scene with her. When another Dom goes missing, Joe is sent to find him, and Janey is thrilled when she is sent along to find her friend, Master Lovett. While traveling to other clubs looking the the missing Dom, Janey will get her wish, and Joe will almost overcome his fear of damaging his beautiful, delicate, but temporary sub.
Sassy, sexy Janey, and closed off, rough around the edges Joe will become close, but when their mission ends, things are said that may cause an irreparable rift in the relationship. Fascinating, sexy characters in a tastefully, and well written BDSM romance.
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
Each book in this series keeps getting better and better! Each book can be read as a stand alone, but it is better if you start from the beginning of the series and read them in order. Janey wants Master Joe, but Joe believes that Janey won't be able to handle his type of dominance. After Janey calls Joe out on his not treating her like his other submissive partners, he learns that Janey is not what she appears to be. Loved the way the Joe and Janey learn about themselves and their partner through this story. Again P. Nelson has written a story that grabs you from the beginning and keeps your attention throughout the book, not wanting to put it down until you come to the end. Great job! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A playful perspective Play Me Close by P Nelson is the latest installment in The Don’t of The Cage series and is a wonderful shift from the serious and suspenseful plots of this series. I have enjoyed and devoured the series and this one is no exception. Master Joe and Janey are masterfully developed. These two are just awesome and utterly combustible together. Sparks fly, chemistry ignites and continuously builds throughout their road trip adventure. Despite the seriousness of their contract, Janey brings out a side of Master Joe he never thought he had. Overall a great HEA BDSM read with plenty of heat, heart and humor that will leave you flushed, breathless and a smile on your face. I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
Book 7 in The Dom’s of The Cage series. Can be read and enjoyed as standalone. Full length told in dual POV with HEA. Secondary characters are the same throughout the series. The Cage is a BDSM club, but little of this book takes place in the club. Joe & Janey both work and play at the club but never with each other. I liked that most of the book they were travelling together, just the two of them, so they really got to know one another as well as themselves. Detailed storyline keeps your interest and plenty of steamy times too. I loved this book and I love this series! I would highly recommend!
Every time I visit The Cage, I enjoy my time with the characters Nelson introduces us to, or revisits. This story focuses on Joe and Janey. Janey is a Chinese-American. Insecure and crushing big-time on Joe! Joe is former military with issues growing up. He does NOT get "romantically" involved. Joe's bosses send him on a mission and Janey goes too, as she knows Lovett best. She used to work and play with him. My heart warms a LOT when a strong alpha male has a hard time involving his heart, and struggles to get to the point that he can. Not sure why I enjoy it so much! I think it's because an HEA may be possible. It was fun finding out if Joe could get to an HEA with Janey!
I love P Nelson's series and this is a fantastic addition. The whole series has been a joy to follow and the search for the missing owner of the Feather Flogger is a worthy adventure in romance between Janey and Master Joe. I don't want to give away a bunch of spoilers, but let's just say the heat between these two can set your kindle on fire. I am so glad to get this book it is so delicious. You really feel for both Janey with her obsession over Joe and Joe's reluctance to accept Janey. She surprises him in so many ways, and it is delighful to see all the changes she makes in Joe. This is a must read if you are following P Nelsons Cage Series!
A really naughty erotic adventure. Joe and Janey are sent on a mission to locate Master Lovett who hasn't been in touch for nearly a year. Janey has lusted after Master Joe for quite some time but he is afraid his style of BDSM play might be too rough for a fragile-looking Chinese girl. This trip allows them to explore and indulge in their fantasies. This book is hardly for everyone. There are many explicit BDSM elements and sex scenes. But I enjoy reading about all sorts of lifestyles and found this very interesting. If this is not your cup of tea, don't pick up this book. I however enjoyed it.
Love love loved this book. It was so freaking HOT! I always enjoy BDSM stories with scenes in and out out of the club. They are just so hot. I like the characters in the series and the chemistry between Joe and Janey. Their sex scenes were well written and hot too. My only pet peeve was during one scene where Joe and Janey go from anal to vaginal to oral without the mention of a condom. For health reasons alone, this is a no no. Anal should be the last thing thing on the menu when no condom is used. Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Journey of discovery....that could mean a couple of things with this book. Janey and Master Joe are tasked with finding Master Lovett. Will they succeed? Then there is the "journey of discovery" as the two "find" each other. While I am fan of "The Dom's of Cage" series, I will admit that I have somehow managed to miss reading some of the books. I know, I know...bad girl. Luckily I didn't miss this one.
*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book via Hidden Gems which I am voluntarily reviewing*
All of the books The Dom of the Cage are must reads for folks interested in the BDSM lifestyle. And this book was a good one. Joe and Janey are well written, compelling characters. He's afraid he's too much for her and she thinks he has no interest in her.....how wrong they are!! These two have combustible chemistry between them and when he finally gives into it and they scene, fireworks! The book flows well, moves quickly, and drew me in from start to finish. Great addition to the series. ****I received an ARC from Hidden Gems and this is my honest review.****
Joe and Janey’s chemisty is magnificent! I love the Doms of the Cage series and this one does not disappoint! Janey has wanted to scene with Joe for ages, but he never accepted her offer. So when Joe and Janey are paired to go in search of Lovett, the two start off in a precarious place. But what happens when they decide on a contract for the duration of the mission? The story will keep you entertained with lots of steam until you turn the last page!
This is the seventh book in the series but I had no issues reading it as a stand-alone. Janey is a sub and know that Master Joe is the perfect Dom for her. Master Joe on the other hand doesn’t think so, he isn’t looking for a long-term thing. What will happen when they are forced together on a road trip to track down a missing friend. Great chemistry, the characters have lots of depth and their story is has plenty of drama and a great intensity. I loved it!
I must it’s never a disappointment when read a P. Nelson book. From start to end this book is filled with action, keeps you wanting more and will have you in suspense til the very end. As for the twist and turns the Master Joe and Janey face they come out even strong and solid then ever. They have their demons, but through it all the bond they share were able to get them cross those hurdles.
I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy.
I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems and I chose to review it. This is the first book by this author I have read but it will not be my last. I plan to get all the books of this series. I loved the characters and I really want to see what happens with Master Lovett. This is one you need to give a chance I think you will enjoy it. Worth your time and effort.
So the book was a little on the bland side for me. There we're some very predictable parts and even mediocre scenes. I have not read the series and maybe the first few books build up this story. It reads well as a standalone but not all that interesting, exciting, or creative. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
What a HEA! I absolutely loved this book! This series run the full gamut of emotions and I loved every minute of it! This is Janey and Master Joe’s story and they have a wonderful tale to tell. Highs, lows, heat, sex, love. Wow! Thank you P Nelson!!! ❤️🖤❤️🖤 I loved every minute of this journey!
It was interesting to watch the interplay between Janey and Master Joe. It made for a fun read. However, the book was riddled with typos and phrases that made no sense. Hire a better proofreader!
What a great story with lots of submission throughout. Only negative is the situation with Master Lovett was very lame, but the rest of the book was great. I highly recommend this book. This is my first book in this series so I will be reading the rest very soon.
P Nelson’s ‘Doms of The Cage’ books 1-7 - They were great reads, kinky sex, alpha males, gorgeous gals, sexy stuff and thriller storylines - totally enjoyed reading all of them one after the other since I bought them - total awesomeness!
This was the first book I read in this series. I will definitely have to go back and read the others. This was crazy intense to read. Seems like it will be a really hot series to read and get into.
