It’s my first day as the new reporter covering New Zealand’s famous rugby team.
I’m an American who knows nothing about rugby, but after taking one step into the locker room after the game, I’m a huge fan.
These massive tough men are true alphas.
And there’s one who stands taller than the rest.
Akea Saluni.
The Samoan god.
Covered in tribal tattoos, this chiseled man has muscles for days.
He puts the moan in Samoan.
He makes the Rock look like a pebble.
He brings me to my knees.
And once this possessive man lays his dark eyes on me, that’s exactly where I’m going to stay…

Oh yes!!! We’re headed to NZ for a Samoan rugby player who is looking to score with his one and only! Over-The-Top. Insta-love. And of course a sugary sweet HEA guaranteed!

I always am on the prowl for an OTT safe story. The fact this was a sports story made it even better. They are so hard to find! You’re going to love Akea (I imagined Jason Mamoa the entire book🔥)

-no cheating
-no ow/om drama - could have done without hearing about all women who have thrown themselves at him etc The story could have been just as good without it. So unnecessary and it impacted my rating. thankfully he didn’t take them up on their offers
-dual virgin
-no violence of a sexual nature
-Instalove
-no separation
-very steamy
-fantastic epilogues that went as far out as 30 years which was a dream for me

When I say this it IS ABSOLUTELY A PERSONAL OPINION.

However, a tumblr porn has more storyline or substance than this. It wasn’t even a porn material let alone a “smutty romance”. It was smut alright but had to be most disjointed piece ever.

And as far as the bad guy goes, he may have been a shitstain, but he was spot on about the hero almost assaulting the h. I couldn’t stop laughing when she denied it or found the actions of H “hot”!

Also, she had zero knowledge about rugby. Her standard question about rugby players have been “are you a cat or a dog person”? And you want me to believe 1) she was a decent sport reporter? Her only sport was tennis? And she was actually considered good at her job? And 2) after an orgasm or 20 she all of a sudden understood rugby so much and the hero so much she had her article picked up by NZ Herald? Suspension of disbelief doesn’t stretch that far and even if I’m high as kite, was she legally even allowed to do that while working for her current company?

I can't with this novella. 🤣 It's utterly ridiculous, but hey, I'm here for a little bit of fun with a touch of dual V, and this one definitely delivers. 🤭😂

Yes indeed...another 5 star read from me.

So first, let's just take a sec to look at that cover model. 👀 Man oh man, I'm loving the guy. And those tats?!?! Holy crap tat-man. 🔥

So..why 5 stars, hell why not? It was a great story with great MC's. Yes, they are both virgins and most know I love my dual virgin stories but more than that, we just never see "safe" books that are sports or hollywood related. It's so refreshing not to have to suffer through reading about how much the H was a player/manho who screws everyone with a pulse. It's just my reading preference at the moment and I can't get enough of these types of stories.
I do have to mention one thing however and this didn't bother me as much as it might some. In the inner thoughts of the H, he talks about how women would whisper dirty shit in his ear and rub up against him while taking pics & stuff like that. He does say how he never partakes or encourages this behavior. So, please don't let this deter you from reading. Afterall, he IS a virgin.
-no cheating
-no abuse
-H is gone for h
-dual POV
-epilogues at 5 months, 3 years and 30 years later

I’m not sure what brought her here to me. Luck? Fate? God? Randomness? Who knows… All I know is that she’s here now and she’s mine and I’m never letting her go. Ever.
~Akea

I'm ready for the next O.T.T. story. She could release one every day and I still wouldn't get enough! Another job well done. 🙌

“You. Me. Bed. Now” is the story of Zoey and Akea.

First time read about an indigenous hero but it was so well written and sexy. He’s a rugby star, she’s a reporter - insta love, jealous possessiveness, loads of sex and a happy ending with detailed epilogue.

Kiwi Hotness!

“You. Me. Bed. Now.” … the title says it all… another quick, spicy, cherry popping, over-the-top, insta-everything tale from Olivia T. Turner. Zoey, a young and utterly innocent American journalist, is assigned to cover the Mostly-Grays rugby team, located in Auckland, NZ. Zoey knows absolutely nothing about rugby (which I easily identify with), and the other sports journalist find her unfamiliarity with the game genuinely appalling. On Zoey’s initial foray into the team locker-room, she is awestruck by one specific player surrounded by journalist but rather than answering questions… his gaze is focused quite intently on Zoey. The huge rugby player is a league favorite, a virtual Samoan God, Akeakamai Saluni or simply Akea. A true beast of a man with his Samoan tribal tattoos, perfectly sculpted body and primary status as the team alpha.

Well written, fast-paced and humorous, the story-line follows the pair from their very first meeting to their inevitable, impassioned bond. The journey is fraught with misunderstandings, intentional deceit (from a vindictive league executive), and Zoey’s (aka. shushukins), own apprehensiveness. Akea’s powerful obsession and desire for Zoey, heightens the sizzling heat as well as excitement, guiding the story-line toward the couple’s HEA. “You. Me. Bed. Now.” Is told from both characters perspectives, is a standalone story and features an epilogue, thirty years in the future, for an idyllic closure to the story.

Disclaimer: No Kindles were seriously harmed while reading this novel. Children 18 and over only due to overtly sexual content!

Disclaimer for the Disclaimer… the term “seriously harmed” is not intended to include: overheating, scorch marks, minor melting or inconsequential fire that can be put out with an extinguisher. Fire retardant gloves highly recommended while reading.

So, started reading this because one of my BFFs is Samoan. He mentioned that Samoans are hardly ever heroes in books (which is totally F'ed up - especially when you have hotties like Jason Momoa walking around here looking all fine) so when I saw this, I grabbed it.

Welp. I read it. It was super basic as all hell. With double virgins - I hate it when the author does double virgins but the sex is supposed to be smexy. As if. There is a learning curve, people. No dude comes out the box slanging dick. That takes a least a little experience. Ugh.

Other than that, I loved the basic idea of Akea - totally imagining a tatted up hottie - but the behavior wasn't what I hoped for. I also enjoyed the (very little bit of) rugby in the story. I'm an NFL fan but I've seen a few rugby matches and I really enjoyed them. I could watch more (could read more, too).

Damn. I'd LOVE a good Samoan romance. Something with a little depth (and a hottie one the cover).

This was super quick and tons of epilogues!! So that made me smile!!

Zoey shy, innocent is a interviewer and was given at first a sport she doesn't know nothing about and is millions miles away from home since she didn't want to suck her bosses dick.. so this was punishment.. being a noob and afraid of what questions to ask rugby players she stuck with easy questions lol which was fking funny until she caught the eyes of Akea growly workaholic alpha, the top dog in the team and he doesn't do interviews until he sees Zoey and well their interview is hawt.. no really they are in sauna and him already 89% naked.. but they are interrupted by the head owners who hates Akea.. since she ran away hes been in a mood until he spots her again this time he won't let her get away.. but once again this owner has it out for Akea so he lies to Zoey, Akea is done with the owner and done with his woman running so he tracks her down he isn't giving up his woman.

No cheating, no ow/om drama, tiny Drama, sexy times, both virgins

This book was a scorchingly hot story of 2 virgins who lit the rugby world on fire. Instalust on a level that left absolutely zero doubts that these two would be tearing up the sheets, and that it would be viciously hot. I absolutely love the way Olivia T Turner crafts her heroes to go absolutely apesh*t OTT in love, and how it leads to them becoming their lady’s biggest champions. Her heroines are always capable, intelligent, loyal, and sensual. I love it.

I wasn't expecting a lot of story with this book with this title and that was pretty spot on. Very Insta love, Insta lust. It is fairly ridiculous because the girl is an airhead, but end up with a cover article for SI and the other journalist that cover rugby idolize her. This same woman who knew knew she was going over to cover rugby, but on the plane ride over, or any of the other time she had moving, she couldn't take 5 minutes to learn about the sport that will be her entire job focus? Really? Instead she goes with Teen Beat questions like, "Are you a dog person or a cat person?" Don't get me started on what happens at the game. Boo. Just boo.

Who wouldn’t do what Akea says when he tells you to get in the bed?? One look was all it took to take the big bad rugby player down. When Zoey walks into the locker room, Akea knows she is his and nothing and no one will stand in his way!!

-safe read
-OTT alpha rugby player
-dual virgins
-no om/ow drama
-no bunnies gropping or trying to get with player. Only One inner comment made about what they try to do but he never partakes in any of it.
-good epilogues (5 months, 3 years, and 30 years)

I feel like I learned a bit about rugby with this read! Great insta-love with Akea and Zoe. Zoe being thrown into Rugby coverage as punishment from her boss was awesome! Of course that’s how she meets her true love and they find their HEA.

Si. Nos encanta? Mucho.

1.5 stars- I regret to say because...

The tittle, (yes please!) got my attention,
The cover, (drool worthy!) hooked me, and
The blurb, (hot, hot, hot!) reeled me in!

The book started out great but I guess I didn't realize how short and how smutty and OTT it turned out to be. (Should've read the whole blurb). Don't get me wrong I read smut on occasion but this had the makings for a very good contemporary romance and felt jipped. The writing was great and I loved the story line, I just really wanted something different.

I would love to see this rewritten with a bit less OTTness, I like insta love but this was too much, a bit more realism for some depth, (nix the double virgin theme), slow it down cause the characters are great, and a whole lot less smut (take out the whole breeding thing), add more character development, and you have the makings for a very good erotica/contemporary romance/rom-com.

Not Bad

I liked most of this book except the beginning. I thought Zoey should have been more knowledgeable about rugby. She may have been new to the sport but a good journalist does their homework and she should have at least known the basics and who the top players were. Other than that I enjoyed the story. Akea was a delicious, OTT alpha man who would do anything to make the woman of his dreams his,

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow/om drama, a little drama caused by om but not in a romantic way. Both virgins. No abuse.

He puts the moan in Somoan

Look. I don't mind OTT, suspend your disbelief scenarios, but this was sooo OTT bad across multiple levels. This man jumps the fence DURING a match TWICE to go kiss his beloved. And let's not even mention the SA masquerading as instalove. Ay yi yi...

Oh yeah, also...there's not one, not two, but THREE epilogues - this is an 80-page novella, people!!

Short but definitely not sweet

This was pretty bad. I don't mind instalove when it turns the man into a stuttering wreck. But in this novella it turns the hero into an alpha asshole who basically sexually assaulted the heroine. And of course his caveman antics are played off as sexy, not threatening.

I get that this is probably meant to be erotica. Short on story, heavy on smut. But the storyline is just laughable. Zoey is an American reporter, who is sent to NZ to cover rugby and she doesn't even attempt to do any research before the first game. Incompetence is not cute or funny, it's actually enraging. Especially as she's a female journalist in a male dominated sport so of course she
asks about the players pets and is basically assaulted by the hero Akea but it's ok as he really loves her. And he's hot.
Leading to somehow having sex with Akea magically transforms her into a good reporter.

That's just crappy, lazy and irresponsible writing.

There's also my least favourite trope: pregnancy used to entrap a woman and it's played as romantic. Just gross.

And finally, during the pretty sparse sex scenes the word breed was used WAY too much. It felt like I had stumbled into a Handmaiden's Tale crossover. The worst example was:

'he keeps talking about breeding my pussy'

Have you ever read anything less sexy or anatomically correct in you life?

Avoid at all costs. Read some proper erotica or a real romance. Not this middle road offering.

This newest book features Zoey, a fish out of water reporter sent to New Zraland to cover rugby (an unknown sport to her) as punishment. She, of course, catches the eye of the unapproachable star player, Akea. All I can say is Holy Hotness, Batman. The first scene between them in the sauna was all kinds of steamy (puns!)

There is some very minor back and forth agitated by an outside force, but when I say “minor”, I mean it is barely a blip. The focus is on them, as it has to be in a story this length.

My only wish is that Zoey would have been not so clueless about the sport in the beginning. I get that she had no background and it was new, but it wasn't like she was teleported to her new assignment directly after getting the news of the transfer. She could have and should have, as a professional, done *some* research. She didn't seem new to sports reporting as a profession, just this particular sport. It made her drop a couple of points in my head as a heroine and had me deducting a star.

Once I got past that, I enjoyed the book thoroughly. Akea is painted as a mountain of a man. A massive, thickly muscled mountain of a man. It is not my usual type, but it totally worked for me in this instance. I mean, *rugby players*. Yum.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Needed a Kiwi editor, or at least a Kiwi to give it a once over. Couldn't get past the basic errors. In fact the first one was 10 sentences in (ie halfway down the first page). I know it's just a book ... but ... those type of errors put me off. E.g. There's no such thing as a fly-head in rugby. Perhaps it was supposed to be a fly-half?

Anyway. The errors continued from there so I ended up reading and highlighting all the mistakes instead of being enthralled with the story.

If they were fixed I would have given the book a solid 4 because it was f'ing hot and had captivating characters.
