It’s interesting to realize the power in a tasty beverage. A lot of little special things are abruptly denied to a woman who gets pregnant, and it’s surprising how demoralizing that can be. This book contains a collection of gifts for a person who feels frequently sick, sad, gross, anxious, or just plain left out. When you get a bubbly, icy, brightly colored beverage in your hand, it really does takes the edge off, and I don’t find myself missing alcohol much at all.

Most of the recipes I’ve tried from this book have ranged from good to great flavor-wise, and I plan to keep using it post-partum.We usually get the ingredients to try a new recipe once a week, which goes well with all the other weekly updates of pregnancy. The book makes a great gift, and if you are partner or friend to a pregnant person, making them one of these drinks is a real classy move. The nutritional advice is okay, but can be found in a lot of baby books.

Fun and easy drink recipes. They are also nutritious and help me get in extra servings of fruits and veggies. I like that it is all plant-based. The drinks taste great and help me feel like I am still having fun with my friends and family. I have added booze to some of the recipes for those who chose to partake and they all love the drinks to.
