Savage Protector is book 1 in the Outlaw Justice Trilogy by new to me author E.M. Gayle. I really enjoyed the beginning of this story with Izzy running on her wedding day. I thought Houston and Izzy's immediate attraction and chemistry was super hot but unfortunately as the story progressed it lost my attention. After reading reviews and spoilers about books 2 & 3 I doubt I will continue, I don't care for miscommunications that prevent a story from moving forward.

DNF. I quit at around 50%.
Houston (injured marine, former MC) meets Izzy (mafia princess, sold as a business transaction) after she runs away from the man she's supposed to marry. They have a few days of hot sex in the hotel and plan to take off on a road trip before she's kidnapped by the bad guys and chained to a bed, beaten, forced to take drugs, and raped. In order to get help to rescue Izzy, Houston has to agree to break her heart and go undercover for months.
I didn't like where this story was going, ESPECIALLY when I discovered it was a freaking series. Then I looked at the descriptions of the other two books and NOPE I didn't like where the story was headed at all. Looks like the MMC and FMC spend more time apart than they do in love and together. No thanks.

Serious WOW Factor!
Wow! That was just... wow! The chemistry is hot. The sex scenes are steamy. The storyline keeps your riveted. The way the book ends? I immediately had to pick up the next book in the series because I couldn't go to bed without something more to calm my racing mind (thankfully, I had book #2 on stand-by).

Oh my word. My first book by this author, and I was like what did I just read. Hot, gritty, suspense, drama, twists and man a cliffhanger to boot. I really think it should be mentioned that books end on a cliffhanger man.
Houston is home from the army and he doesn't want anything to do with the MC club his father raised him in. Izzy is on the run from an arranged marriage setup by her father. From the minute they met Houston becomes protective of her. And they both can't deny the chemistry between them. But can this work out. She is on the run he just like her is a broken soul.
Like I said lots of action, drama, suspense and definitely over the to chemistry between these two. At the end of this book, there is so cub going on and so much questions with no answers, that I feel we can't wait too long for the next book to be released😱😔

Not a bad book but I've read better. The ending was a huge cliffhanger but I've got the series so no biggie.

Ahhhh, that was a dozy of a cliffhanger!!!!! Holy moly, this story was awesome, had my stomach clenched, and my heart breaking. Houston, we have hawtness, extra spicy attraction, and instant connection, between Izzy and Houston. Both are broken, both end up where they never wanted to be, and both are just trying to survive. After perfection together, their real worlds claim them, and once there is another chance, crazy cliffy that is going to have on edge until the next book comes out.
Once I started this book, I was completely drawn in by the characters, the dynamics, the story, and devoured it all at once. It was over too soon, and while my brain and heart needed the break, I will be stalking the release of the next book!

Houston escaped his past by joining the military now discharged he has to fast a past he would rather forget. Isabella is terrified of the future before her but has no choice until she takes a drastic step towards the unknown. Two troubled souls find a haven in each other. This is an intense read with a cliffhanger ending that I can't wait to read more of, the character are intriguing with so much depth and emotion. This isn't one of those happily ever after love stories, with wicked intents, the mafia, and a biker club be ready for a story that makes your toes curl.

This is an action packed suspense filled romance story.When Hudson gets back he's no longer a Marine after an injury he's told he is fit enough to be in the battle.So he's back to his home town.He hears his na!e being called it's his best friend Axel. is vice president of the Sins of Wrath MC. Axle says I'll give you a ride.He also tells Hudson/Hawkeye that the president wants to see him.Hudson tells him he doesn't want to be part of the Wraths anymore.Axle gets angry at Hudson telling him it's his legacy. Hudson sees a,beautiful woman it looks like appears on the pier in a wedding dress.When she sees Hudson their eyes meet an they can't look away. She meets him half way he asks did you go through with it. She says no .He tells her she looks like she needs a drink an she says yes I do.Can this !avid princess find love in the arms of an outlaw biker/Marine?There is action,violence,hot sex scenes an a love that happens so fast that Hudson risks his life to rescue Isabella.The twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain..

Izzy doesn't want to be used in a deal her father is making with a business partner so she runs on her wedding day. Knowing if she gets caught the punishment would be bad. Houston is just out of the marines because of a medical issue and back in his hometown. Barely in city limits and his former MC is already on him to get back in the fold. Houston just wants to find his own way so he goes the next town over for a break and sees this stunning woman running towards him in white. Izzy can't believe she has made it as far as she did but when she sees Houston she gives into temptation and stays with him. Both of them get lost in each other and forget reality until it literally starts knocking on the hotel door. Will Houston be able to keep her safe from her father and his people? Can Houston manage to have a life without the MC?
This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Houston is home from the military after being injured and doesn’t want to be in the MC where his mother died and he grew up. Izzy is a mafia princess and being forced to marry by her father, when she runs, she meets Houston. Sparks fly but with them both in danger and broken by their past will they be able to have a future together? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and steam and an entertaining story. I liked it.

An extremely steamy read that has all the thrills that will have you on the edge of your seat and begging for more, an excellent story. The chemistry between Houston and Isabella was phenomenal, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. And the exciting ending will have you gasping. There has to be more, I can’t wait for the next book.

Gripping and Fast Paced
Isabella and Houston’s story is fast paced, lust filled, and dangerous. Book one of their story sets the tone of their story for the next two books.
I enjoyed reading their story and getting to know them. Isabella is a runaway bride, however, you can’t blame her. Her father, an Italian monster, sold her to one of his clients. An evil, disgusting client. Houston is the son of an MC president and he just came home from an injury from the Marines. They shouldn’t have crossed paths, but fate has brought them together.
The instant connection they have has sealed their fate of being dragged apart. When Isabella gets kidnapped, Houston will do anything to get her back. Even if that means going to the club he turned his back on a decade ago.
The story ends in a cliffhanger and definitely leaves you needing more. What happens after Isabella is saved and Houston now becomes the one in danger?
The author did an excellent job of giving us background information on the two characters. Savage Protector leads us into a world of a MC that is trying to do good and an Italian crime family that doesn’t care about the family.
Isabella and Houston are stuck in the crossfire, literally and figuratively, between the two. I’m excited to see how they come out on the other side, especially when sacrifices are being made in order to survive.

Wow
What a great book. This is the first one I read by this author and I can't read the next book in the series to find out what happens next. I hate books with Cliffhangers but this was well worth it. I definitely definitely suggest reading this book if you were looking for something with some excitement in it.

Yall this book was badddddd. I listened to it on audiobook and I think that made it worse. The dialogue was so cringey I wanted to die and almost had to stop listening at one point. Hearing this cringe dialogue actually spoken made me want to launch myself. To say the very least I won’t be reading the two other books in the series. Thankfully it was a very short book and was free on stuff your audiobook day. Is it too much to ask for a good mafia book?!?

This was just not at all for me. It felt like it just jumped into the middle of the story where the leads starting having sex and I was wondering about the plot.

I loved this. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narration. A little more editing could be done on the audio, but it wasn't enough to take away from the enjoyment of the book.

Great story....
I enjoyed reading this story.. it has a good feel and the hotness is WOW. And then towards the end things turn bad for this couple and I was just reading as fast as I could to see what happens and I couldn’t believe it. I’m on to book two and am anxious to see what happens next.

I loved this one! Take an embittered ex-Marine/ex-MC biker, add an fleeing Mafia princess determined to have at least ONE night of unfettered wildness & mix with his old MC Club & her enraged father & fiancee= BOOM!
Houston Reed (H) is the son of his old MC's Pres & after a personal tragedy when he was 18, he walked away from his club & joined the Marines. Now, 10 years & numerous deployments later, the e-Marine sniper has been honorably discharged due to an IED. Having expected to stay in the Marines the reast of his life, 28 yr old Houston is adrift. With no where else to go, he heads home only to find the MC Club has been wainting for him . . . .

This book had me me on the edge of my seat and i couldnt put it down.....a run away bride and a man running from his past... them meeting is like two super nova stars colliding ....all hell breaks loose and the action, drama and suspense is unleashed when these two broken souls meet...
Isabella is running from her ruthless father and even worse fiancee straight into the arms of a man that will end up being her protector......and Houston has just returned after being away for 10 years to find that there is no getting away from the MC he walked away after his mothers desth ..... he needs them to help him save the woman he has claimed as his after she is kidnapped.

This is a good start to this new series, but fair warning that it is a cliffhanger. Houston is in an outlaw MC...but he doesn't really want to be. Then he meets Isabella...the chemistry between them is smoking...but she is running away from a life that she doesn't want. Can these star-crossed lovers outwit fate and have a happily ever after?

An outstanding, action-packed, and well written romance story filled with suspense, twists and turns, characters that seem real and you can't help but care for, an intriguing storyline, hot scenes, and so much more. Savage Protector does end in a cliffhanger.

The spice is the main reason I kept going with this book. But I had a lot of issues with it otherwise.
One of the main issues I have with this book is that the MMC's POV is in third person, while the FMC's POV is in first person. It is so jarring to switch between these different types of POVs. Every time would take me out of the book.
This is definitely an insta-love type of trope, where basically they see each other, and then can't stay away. Very fast pace and I would say only character driven for this book. Majority was the şmüt, which clearly I stayed for, so no complaints, but this is just the set up for the series. Do not expect anything to happen at all. The cliffhanger is quite the cliff, but the way it is written and the story itself does not convince me to continue.
I did like that the author did not shy away from the darker elements of the lives of both our main characters. *triggers in spoiler*

Duet Narration, but the audio quality would go in an out. The female narrator annoyed me with her lack of tone/inflection and her microphone was just so different from the male narrator. It was a weird combination when listening.

A wonderful read, great characters and plot very erotic and action filled..
This was a simply wonderful read that I thoroughly enjoyed the characters were simply wonderful and I am sure that when you read about Isabella and Houston’s relationship you will feel exactly the same. This was the first book in this three-book series and I have to say that the fact Isabella is a runaway bride and that she is being actively pursued by her family.

This first book in this series is a winner!
Houston is a former member of the MC Club that his father was the head of, Sons of Wrath, and is fresh out of the Marines due to an injury. He did not want to go back to that life. The book features a run away bride and a former motor cycle gang member in some very high heat, insta-attraction scenes that lead to a caring relationship (though gritty in a dark world).
The sexual tension and plot tension run high throughout this book, and it reveals much of the dark underside of how these organisations work/operate.
I looked ahead to see if there were more books in this series -- and they are. Had there not been, I would have scream No! That's not how you end a romance book.
But there are more books to the story, so all is well, and I look very much forward to the next book.

Holy smokes! This was one heck of a start to this series. An intense story line capures your attention and keeps you on the edge as you read through this page-turner. This is only book one so Warning! Cliffhanger ahead. And man is it a doozy!! Houston and Izzy were incredible characters. Complex and complicated, they were easy to connect with and fall for. Plus, their chemistry was simply insane!!!!!! The plot is filled with intensity, drama, danger, twists, action and sizzling scenes. I can not wait for book two! All thoughts and opinions in this review are entirely my own.
