All Victoria wanted was a home to call her own. Her life until that moment had been one apartment after another, and she needed roots. She’s doing things on the ranch every day she’d never done before and frankly didn’t want to, but there was nothing she wouldn’t do to keep her home. Even fight with the humongous, obnoxious, abrasive, confrontational but gorgeous neighbor, Zane. Zane was all that and more and didn’t give a crap if you liked it or not. When he and Victoria met his first thought was of how beautiful she was. After that he thought of getting to her to sell the ranch to him. But then his feeling swung back to just wanting her. That is if she didn’t kill herself first or give him a heart attack.
I am a huge fan of Mia Jones and this book has all the qualities that make Mia's books amazing!! You have a strong female who has a vulnerable side, an alpha male who wants what he wants, and a new budding love.
I loved reading along as Tory and Zane met and maneuvered through their emotions.
This was a quick read for me and I was left feeling happy. Mia Jones is a very talented author and I look forward to reading more from her!!! Very well done and a very easy five-star read for me!!!
Mia strikes again! She switched it up a little in this one and made Zane a true Alpha male. But under that rough rancher skin is a softie. I loved following these two as they work out issues.
I have loved Mia Jones's books since the first one I read. Open Fields gives you romance with a little county liven. Victoria has moved to her uncle's farm after his death. It was where she spent the happiest times of her life. Zane is a ranch owner who thought he wanted her ranch but found out that there would be a price to pay. Mia Jones has a way with word that is like no other she can make you laugh and cry all in the same book. If you like happily ever after books you will like Mia Jones's work.
