What happens when a strong heroine meets a broken hero?
Ryan: I’ll destroy her and every glimmer of hope she represents, or I’ll cling to her for my life. All I need is a sign to know which direction to take. A sign to save me or annihilate us both. A way forward when all I see is her.
Virginia: He can push, I’ll stand strong. But he might be my downfall, and I’ll never let him pull me down into his darkness. No matter the temptation.
An emotional, enemies-to-lovers romance that will guide you through love, hardship, and forgiveness.
**ARC REVIEW** I must begin by saying, I applaud Gabrielle for this amazing book. When you read her book it feels as if she's been writing forever. It's so fluent and the characters flow well with each other, it feels so realistic and raw.
Never & Forever is the story of Virginia and Ryan. Virginia finds herself in a predicament. She's chosen to reach out to her twin brother and soon to be wife Julia's best friend Ryan. The asshole she hasn't spoken to in years and everyone has been avoiding.
What Virginia doesn't expect are the feelings she feels when she meets Ryan and what escalates from that meet.
Ryan has been avoiding his friends for 2 years now. He has been quietly self destructing inside, showing a different appearance in the outside. Deep down he needs his friends and they have abandon him when he needed them most. There's one person who sees through his facade and that's Virginia. His goal is to take advantage of the situation and destroy Virginia with his self destruction.
Two people who have something unexpectedly in common "addiction". Virginia being sober for over 12yrs and Ryan in denial with his addiction, until Virginia breaks him. But before Virginia breaks Ryan does Ryan break her??
This book is full of absolute love, struggles and most importantly hope! You will enjoy each chapter and fall in love with the badass that Virginia is!
Gah! What a beautiful story 😍 I couldn't put this book away. I was seriously putting my family at risk, because I even read while I was cooking too 😂 This book just had me “ALL IN”, especially because of the endless emotional and heartbreaking moments. A love story between two people, who have so many doubts and insecurities, that they closed their minds and emotions to the people in front of them. The past has shown them that they are never enough. That they are not good enough to be the most important person in someones life. This book describes the life with and after a addition in the Hollywood world of rich and famous. It shows the bottled up anger that is accumulate in their consciousness, influenced by the addiction and unprocessed traumas of the past. A heartbreaking struggle for friendship and love. And what a love ❤ I really loved Virginia and Ryan. The book is extremely emotional and nerve wracking, but also funny and swoony. A perfect mix of humor and drama, not to forget the very detailed written hot scenes 🔥🤫 I can't believe that's just Gabrielles second book 😱 Definitely a must-read for all who love their book romantic with a lot of drama, amazing humor and beautiful HEA.
This is not my first read, I actually read I an & Julie (Book #1) in the series. Therefore I was a bit excited to see that Ryan & Virginia got a story! Virginia is tasked with one things, find the egotistical prick of a former best friend of the bride, Ryan. The "Hollywood boy" the a-hole that walked out 18 months ago! When she finds him, everything before and now CRASHES TOGETHER! What a boom! By boom I mean the story takes off into a lot of NEW everything's. Things, secrets and everything else comes out. The chemistry Virginia and Ryan share though...un-replaceable. Something that can't be denied, even if they both try very very hard! It's doesn't help that what Ryan did in Book #1 is hard to come back from but then you add addiction to the mix, Virginia will have to fight some of her own daemons if she wants to help the prick. The anticipation, words and scenes..I would like to specially link on the sexy scenes, MY GOSH THE STEAMY HOTTNESS! *fanning myself* There is a combo of everything, the writing is smooth and you'll get a lot more of EVERYONE in here! That's why I would recommend reading Book #1 but to me I would have been able to read this as a stand-alone.

This is the first time I have read a book by this author, but it definitely won’t be my last. At the start of the book I admit that it did take me a couple of chapters to truely become captivated by the story, but I just knew this book would be well worth the read. After reading those first couple of chapters I was fully invested in this book. Everything grabbed me and didn’t let go.
It’s about addiction and I loved the way the author didn’t sugar coat anything. She gave us the raw, hard facts and that is what I love about this book. I cried, I laughed. My heart broke, and my heart was mended. I just love this book.
The characters were great, I really felt for Virginia. Her past made me so sad, and I felt equally sad for Ryan and Asher but for different reasons. This book just brought a whole heap of emotions out of me, and I just love the author for it. I can not wait to read more from this author!
This is my first Gabrielle G. Book but it won't be my last! I seriously think the author is unrated! This means a lot coming from me because I have my favorites and it's hard to replace those. Plus if I can't connect with a authors books, it is hard for me to try again. I mean I will but I am very particular. But once and while a book like Never & Forever comes along. This book will probably be in my top favorites of the year!
At the beginning you meet Virginia who's tasked with one of the worst things to do: find the former best friend of her brothers bride-to-be. Since the bride-to-be is pregnant she takes the menial task at hand because of the situation behind his disappearance. And let me tell you...WTF! I haven't read that situation before between best friends in a book. I also haven't read the Ian and Julie story (Always & Only) YET! But I can't wait because of this certain situation is ONE that I WANT to read. The entire this is CRAZY. Okay, I am getting off topic here back to NEVER & FOREVER.
Virginia is a recovering addict, and if you know anything about addiction, you are never really broken from it. There's always a underlying want there. I mean you can go long period of remission but the temptation will always be there. It can change in a split second. The smallest thing can take over your will, and you will crash and burn. So finding Ryan aka the Hollywood Boy isn't something she truly wants to do. Upon finding him the story takes on a new being itself. The past and present literally collapse together. Secrets are revealed, hearts are crushed. It's a mess!
Through ti all Virginia and Ryan have this amazing and undeniable chemistry. The more they try to push it away, it always comes back full force. But again the thing I mentioned earlier keeps getting in the way. They both have demons and skeletons in their closets. But it was them. Together, that they persevered. I loved their journey.
As individuals Virginia is as strong as she is vulnerable and her feelings toward Ryan were a mixed-bag. What is true? What isn't true? The past and present. And Ryan, I believe was misunderstood in a way that only a certain person could get. Underneath his playboy was a damaged man. A man who thought there was no redemption. But he found Virginia, she showed him a way out of the darkness. He called her his light, his salvation.
This book gave me feels on top of feels that went straight to my bones.
The seriousness aside, they had great banter. Ryan has a dirty potty mouth on him but I loved it! I get why women were attracted to him despite his man-whorish ways.
I definitely recommend this book! Gabrielle G. is a new favorite of mine! You technically don't have to read Always & Only but I do suggest it, because of certain things. I want to thank Gabrielle G. for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for a honest review. This book was thrilling as heartbreaking and mending!
There comes a point in a readers life when every book starts blending together. You don't feel the emotions you're reading, you see the words but don't absorb their meaning and maybe its just me, kind of like writers block for writers. . This book broke that mold for me. I was destroyed while reading it, captured by real emotions, entranced by Gabrielle's writing. The POV and thoughts from both Virginia and Ryan were so real, the struggles they faced, their fight for a love they both deserved but never thought they did was captivating. I didn't want to put this book down and when it was over I kept scrolling, hoping for more. . This couple is everything. I have an absolute over the top girl crush on Virginia Porter and I have no shame. The strength she portrays as a woman, as a mother, as an addict, I admired the absolute crap out of her. . No review would suffice for this masterpiece but I tip my glass to you, Gab because what a frigging book. Congrats girl, you should be over the moon proud of yourself!!
"Everyone has an addiction. Mine is you." A recovering drug addict and a sex and alcohol addict. This was my first book by Gabrielle so at the beginning I was quite confused and overwhelmed with all the different names which turned me off but once I got into it, I could. not. put. the. book. down. This book is my addiction now.
What a book!! Ryan is the loveable jerk that will melt your heart when you learn his story, and Virginia is a tough-as-nails heroine you really root for - you want them to have their happily ever after. An emotional book peppered with sizzling hot romance scenes that I couldn’t put down until I finished it !
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review
This was my first read by Gabrielle G. and from the angst, heartache, and struggle portrayed in this story, it won't be my last.
Never and Forever is the story about Ryan and Virginia. Two people both dealing with addiction, one recovering and one currently struggling. The battle between addiction and love isn't easy for either character and the sexual chemistry keeps the tension high.
This isn't an easy love story but it's undeniably real and so obviously written from the author's soul. I'm excited to read what Gabrielle has up next.
I don't know where to begin honestly. after reading the first book in angels and sunshine I was intrigued enough to read Ryan's story and I'm happy because I win an ARC. the characters are well written. Jules and Ian still the same assholes and self-centred. they only think about their happiness. Virginia is a strong woman but at the same time, she is vulnerable. she hated Ryan at first but then she started to care for him; because she saw something in him. and we all know nothing is like it seems. you think in the first book that scene when Ryan forced himself on Jules better think twice. Ryan had my heart. he was a damaged soul. he had issues and like . this book made me bleed and feel sad because of Ryan. this book is better than the first one because two broken souls find peace together
NEVER & FOREVER By Gabrielle G 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Release Date May 15
Book 2 in the Angels and Sunshine series by Gabrielle G had me hooked. It touches every part of my soul.
Ryan Marley and Virginia Porter complete one another. Ryan’s dirty mouth was hilarious. The things he would say to Virginia had me laughing out loud. But aside from all the banter and laughs there was an underlying matter that made the book and the characters so real. Addiction. It is a battle that both Ryan and Virginia went through. Finding the right support is what led them to the light. Sometimes all it takes is one person to help get you through the darkest times in your life. I loved the strength both characters possessed together and apart. It’s a true testament to one if you can handle things alone and seek the guidance and help needed. Ryan and Virginia were so strong but so much more when they were together. I loved it!
It was great seeing all the characters from Always & Forever but you don’t necessarily have to read it to follow this one. This is my fave so far in the series but I look forward to what else Gabrielle G has in store for us. It is serious, heartwarming, funny with some steam. My heart goes out to all that suffers or has know someone that suffers from addiction. Stay strong and brave. This is a must read.
I was lucky enough to win an ARC. This book got me hooked from start to finish. I loved everything about it and I couldn't put it down until I reached the end! You're going to discover new things about the characters and it is amazing how the author develops them... Gabrielle G. Never fails to surprise me with her amazing books! Anyway, this book is worth your money and time! You're gonna want both Ryan and Virginia to have their happily ever after! Can't wait to read more from Gabrielle because not only she is a talented writer, she is also an awesome funny person!
𝙼𝚢 𝚃𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜: It has been almost a week or more since I read this book. I kept on reading it until I felt full. I had a perfect dose of Ryan and Virginia. Damn, this book had me clenching my ovaries tight with a gleeful smile all way along. I couldn't stop devouring their scenes. Honestly speaking, Gabrielle killed it with Never and Forever.
So much angst, perfect amount of want and longing, hearts in synchrony, dancing flames in eyes, touch so irresistible that you turn into mush. The feels were real. Ryan and Virge, two addicts, one recovered, the former now a slave to alcohol and sex were perfect for each other. But which story got its end easily? These two go through so much that at last, you want ONLY THEM to be on your screen, screw the assholish attitude. The sass, the torture, the tears, the fights and all the insecurities were embraced by me. I loved, loved this book. And Julie+Ian, screw you both. The ship never sailed anyway😉😂
The supporting characters, Dex, Luke, Asher and everyone involved were equally breathtaking.
I got this book as an ARC and I was sooo happy to read and review it! Been wanting Ryan and Virginia’s story since Always & Only!
I have been wanting to get into Ryan’s head since the first book. Wondering what made him finally snap and go crazy. Wasn’t expecting what I read in here. But there was still something that just made me love him. All the stuff he has been through in his life just broke me.
So I get why Virginia couldn’t help but fall for Ryan as well. I felt like she kinda saw herself him in (not in that way you nasty lol) since she herself is an addict, even if she has been sober for 13 years. But would falling for Ryan be what makes her lose all control or help stay sober?!
Gabrielle G has wrote another amazing story. Her writing is amazing and just sucks you into the story so you never want to put the book down!
Thoroughly enjoying this series. Ms G has created some interesting characters who do not play by the rules, she is ok with best friends being jerks, lovers being idiots and forgiveness not a given, it makes the family/friends dynamic of the story so much more believable. While I loved Ian & Julie who are from book 1 - I wanted to annihilate them in this book, while Ryan was a total ass in book 1, you understand him more here, but that's the beauty of these books, they do not follow formula. Do 40 year olds really have very hot sex - HELL Yes they do ;) but this book touches on some real life issues with addictions, family dynamic and forgiving yourself. On to #3
This damn book! I went in determined not to fall under Ryan Marleys spell! Was not going to happen, he was a Dbag at the end of the first book. But I loved Virginia and she’s so tough and so I had to know how this would play out.
Absolutely nothing like I thought. Yes I love a good lollipops and rainbows everyone is super happy love story. If that is what you need right now DO NOT read this book! It’s not for you right now. This is that roller coaster through the dark stuff. The kind that is sometimes hard to read because it hits home. It’s hard to read about the depths of depression, addiction, and abandonment. It’s unpredictable and you don’t know when it ends or twists. The characters you walk those paths with stay with you and you cheer a little harder for them. You want them to find their way.
If you loved Virginia in the first book you will love her so much more now. Seeing what she’s been through and how tough she is even after so much!!! Incredible lady. Who deserves so much love and happiness!
And yes I love Ryan now. I’m on team Ryan. Out in the open I love him. Damn him I did not want too. I am however a sucker for dark and broken things. Gabrielle so clearly put her heart and soul out there for you to see in this book and it’s beautiful. I just loved it so much and completely ugly cried through the end.
Amazing, angsty story of two broken people! Ryan and Virginia are two damaged souls that need each other. Ryan is your typical sexy jerk, he uses his fame, money and attitude to hide what he’s really feeling but once you get past that you’ll fall for him too. Virginia is an incredibly strong heroine, but she’s afraid to let herself be vulnerable. The romance scenes are sooo good, the sexual tension between the characters starts right away and even if they wanted to they can’t stay away from each other! Great writing, character development, and steamy scenes!!
Well what can i say, this book is different to what i usually read but i am glad i did. Fantastic story of two lost souls trying to re build their lives after hard addiction. Ryan is the guy you'd love to hate but once you see past the phony persona he steals your heart. Virginia is a strong willed woman afraid to fall in love for fear of the consequences to her recovery. Great book look forward to reading the rest.
What I liked about this book was that all the characters in the story acknowledge frequently how awful the H and h from book one are :-).
This was a great read, good characters, just enough back and forth and a realistic perspective of how our past can really mess with our behaviours.
Fun, sexy and I sniffed a few times too. Also, I really grew to love Asher in this story and Dex is alright too. Will def read the next volume - Dex and Luke will do well together, I think.
Ryan and Virginia’s story had me completely spellbound!
I couldn’t put this book down and didn’t want it to end. The dynamic between the two main character’s was very push and pull and made you eager to see how the other would react.
If you read Always & Forever, book one of the series, you’ll remember Ryan Marley being the fun, and easy-going best friend to Julia and Ian. At the beginning of this book you see what becomes of him after the hardships he endured near the end of book one and let me just say he was not doing so well as he’s using alcohol and sex to numb his emotions. He eventually finds a new addiction in Virginia.
Virginia Porter is the only one who recognizes that the changes in Ryan are typical addict behaviour. She’s managed to handle her own demons over her 13 year struggle to stay clean and sober. She wants to be the one to help Ryan and be there for him especially when she can see that he doesn’t have anyone to stand by his side. Since he’s found a way to push everyone he cares for out of his life.
Their struggle is real as they try to navigate their sobriety, addiction and desire for one another. I recommend reading this book to discover the outcome of Ryan and Virginia’s story...will they get their forever or will it be never? Never & Forever is book two in the Angels and Sunshine Series by Gabrielle G. and is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
~Thank you to the author for generously providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.~
Never & Forever is not only a love story. It’s a story about moving forward, going over your addiction and finding peace. It’s also a story about forgiveness and friendship. It’s the story of Ryan & Virginia. It’s the story of two black hearts. It’s the story of two broken souls.
Oh, Ryan Marley. As we say in the south- Bless him.
He’s a shadow of the man he once was after what happened in Always & Only, and my heart truly bled for him as he shut everyone out of his life and has disappeared for the last two years without a trace, binging on booze and women- nothing short of an addict.
So it’s up to Virginia Porter to attempt to track him down for Ian and Julie’s wedding, and from one glance, Ryan knows he’s got yet another addiction.
We got to meet Virginia, Ian’s sister, in book 1 and she was still the same tough as nails former addict as she was in book 2, but once glance at Ryan and suddenly, inhibition is out the window and she’s facing yet another addiction herself.
Two addicts. One sizzling attraction. What’s a couple to do? But can they handle reality when it comes crashing down on them? And will the drive to be together be their downfall or can they both overcome their compulsions? I got so frustrated with these two at multiple points in the story, but my heart went out to them as they worked hard to overcome their dependence on substance abuse and embrace their flaws, both of one another and each other. I loved Virginia’s strength and Ryan’s persistence. They complemented each other so well and their struggles were endearing and their love story raw.
I commend Gabrielle for her bravery in writing something so personal to her. It’s good to see a story break the mold and make you uncomfortable but also leave you warm inside. I enjoyed catching up with Dex, Ian and Julie and seeing Asher grow in his relationship with his mother.
These characters’ nuisances and battles are what keeps me coming back for more.
This is my first read of the author and was a surprising good quick read. This is book two in the series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Virginia and Ryan are two broken people who haven’t had the best life and are fighting their own battles. Virginia, being a recovering alcoholic and Ryan understanding his.
Virginia is tasked by her soon to be sister-in-law of getting her ex-best friend, Ryan, to her wedding.
When she tracks him down, he wastes no time in trying to bed her and offers her a deal that he will attend the wedding is she sleeps with him.
Ryan is so forward, letting her know exactly what he wants from her. He’s got one hell of a dirty mouth and likes to use on her. Although Virginia initially rejects him, you can’t deny the chemistry between this pair.
Virginia, she’s strong, knows what she wants but is vulnerable. You could understand her fear of not wanting to jeopardise her recovery. I loved her character.
This book has some surprising twists and a great story that will tug at your emotions and some really hot moments. I definitely recommend this read and look forward to reading more from the author.

A story with characters you are rooting for even though they are completely flawed. Each of them brings their own craziness, but it never seemed too much or over the top. All of it was relatable.
A former drug addict, famous actors, high powered talent agent, and pregnant high maintenance beauty all mixed into one story. How can all these characters fit into a story. That is the beauty Gabrielle did with this novel. People who don’t seemingly fit together were woven together seamlessly.
Virginia, a past drug addict, is working hard on her sobriety and making amends to her once estranged son and her family & friends she hurt. As a favor to her twin brother’s fiancée, she agrees to meet with Ryan a former famous actor who is on a downward spiral. She only knew of him, but did not like what she knew.
The instant attraction can’t be ignored. They each have selfish motives for continuing the pursuit, but will it also be their demise? Can they be together and still be able to stay strong in their own needs.
Ryan and Virginia’s affair brought me to tears on several occasions throughout. They were each so damaged, mostly by their own doing, but their willingness to continue on kept me completely engaged. Without any spoilers, the last few chapters were painful to read. Gabrielle did a fantastic job writing the raw emotion.
I am speechless. I’ve never seen such an amazing display of a tough subject, and it be made into something beautiful and full of love. The author has created a world of normal, human beings who have real life struggles. It is a roller coaster of emotions. I didn’t know whether to laugh, scream, cry or throw my kindle. It is a story that will drag you under from the first word. She has blown this story out of the water, and her future is very bright.
Ryan and Virginia (totally swoon). They were a major part of the previous book and take this book by storm!! Their story is one of hurt and addiction. They struggle throughout the whole story, but see they have to take care of themselves.
Ryan is a sorry excuse of a man. He has struggled greatly with addiction and has reached his lowest point. It takes a tragic event and heart break to see he needs help.
Their journey is one of love, family, and dedication. They find their way, but it was a curvy, windy road. Amazing story of second chances and devotion.
Once again the Scoobydoo gang comes together in Ryan and Virginia's story. Virge is the twin of Ian from book one. Ryan is Julie's best friend. Ryan and Virginia share demons from a similar past. Virge has moved past her addiction while Ryan is drowning in his. The author shares an emotional journey of facing who you are while opening up and allowing someone to love you through the good parts of you as well as the bad. It's about fighting for a better you because you deserve to make it out of the darkness.
Ryan and Virginia explode when they come together. The sex is hot. The feeling are felt but feared. Watching them, with opinions of their own, are their friends and family. Their relationship isn't easy. It causes rifts between friends. But these two broken souls find peace together.
Another great read from this series. The characters show us even grown adults struggle. Not everyone has his/her life together at forty. Looking forward to Dex and Luke's story!
I needed this story y’all! I needed to have a happily ever after for Ryan after Always & Only and Gabrielle G delivered it perfectly. I loved the push and pull between Ryan and Virginia. I loved that Virginia was strong and she didn’t give that up even in the hardest of times. I also enjoyed seeing Ryan become a better version of the man he used to be as the story went on. I think Gabrielle took the touchy subject of addiction and showed just how it can break someone but she also showed how those same people can rise from the ashes and start again. Such an awesome story. My heart is happy.
THIS BOOK! This is that book that stays with you and doesn't let go even when you are done reading! Ryan and Virginia are the most beautifully broken couple and their journey will inspire you. This love story is brutal, ugly, and awe inspiring! The strength of these two is astounding and their love is just beautiful! Gabrielle G. puts all the feels in this book, and it is perfection! Her words leave you breathless and wanting more! You NEED this book in your life!
