A few years ago when I turned away from dairy while trying to get rid of some allergies, I was a heavy dairy consumer - ghee, raw milk, buttermilk, curd, cottage cheese - often all in the same day. Despite a lot of resistance, I figured out that the dairy (or the quality of the dairy) was the root cause of the issue which has since been eradicated.
When my friend Rohan suggested that dairy could be the cause of my allergies, I didn't take him seriously at first. This was due to the rigid ideas surrounding the importance of dairy in India. This change made me open to different food philosophies and ideas that challenge me. Through my research, I ran into the Satvic Movement YouTube channel and through that, to this book.
In this book, I liked the precise and well articulated aspects behind the Satvic Food philosophy. The recipes are uncomplicated (unlike some of the ones you find on YouTube). I really enjoyed the homemade nut milks and few of the recipes that I tried out. I hope to try out more in the coming few weeks and slowly adopt some of the principles of the philosophy mentioned here in my life.
Recommended for anyone who is open to challenging their food principles and ready to make lifestyle changes.
To be honest this book was like a eye opener for me. Although i have followed Intermittent fasting for a year, it really felt good still my selection of foods were poor. I would really love to follow these things as soon as possible as i belong to conventional Indian household to follow this form of diet all of a sudden is not possible but i will slowly incorporate these in my daily routine and update my review in future.

I think this is a great book on the healing power of food. The author gives detailed information on kitchen organization, equipment needed and great recipes to heal your body from the inside out. I am going to follow her protocol from this book.
