I love color and Jean Haines has another beautiful book emphasizing color and how it can affect your emotions. It is very much like Paint Yourself Calm - but different colors, different mood. I would have liked to see more demonstration of technique than this book offers and that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of the 5 I would normally give to a Jean Haines presentation. There is quite a bit of "self-help" talk here - and less on the painting techniques. That being said it is BEAUTIFUL to look through - grabbing bits of the "positive" thoughts. I've been working through it for a week or so and overall, it DOES lift my spirits just enjoying the pages!! And it did encourage me to invest in some Cad Yellow Deep watercolor! *-))

Haines' watercolors are gorgeous. The thoughts she shares on color and mind set are so uplifting. I felt like I was walking through an art gallery with a kind mentor.
