Falling from nobility, Zen Luo became a humble slave and served as a human punchbag for his former cousins. Inadvertently, he found a way to refine himself into a weapon and a legend started because of that. With a strong belief in never surrender, he strove for revenges and pursued big dreams. Warriors from various clans contended for hegemony and the world was stirred. Relying on the body that was comparable to a powerful weapon, Zen beat his numerous enemies on his way to the immortality. Would he succeed eventually?
I usually duck out of these series once they start to amass a harem of women that they treat like crap. This is the volume where it happens in this one.
Zen keeps on going up against foes far over his weight class. And winning. The author keeps it fun and interesting. We get our first obligatory auction house trip. I'm having a good time.
If you’ve read wuxia books before then you know what to expect from the genre. So far not my favorite but the books are progressing well and I have high hopes for Zen to make some good progress.
I enjoyed this book and really liked how the MC does not worry about what the people who don't like him think. The pacing is good and the action scenes are well written.
Another good wuxia installment with decent translation. Zen continues to grow in power and is on track to be fairly op but he faces a variety of enemies which keeps the story lively.
