MASTERING MONEY CAN SEEM IMPOSSIBLE IN A SOCIETY FOCUSED ON SHORT-TERM IMPULSES: LIVE FOR TODAY. FORGET ABOUT TOMORROW. OWNING THE DASH TURNS THAT MINDSET UPSIDE DOWN.

The phrase “Owning the Dash” was adopted by fitness guru, model, motivational speaker, and Anthony Delauney’s late cousin, Greg Plitt. A force of nature in and out of the gym, Greg pushed his clients—and himself—to take advantage of every moment and opportunity, making smart decisions now to ensure a healthy future. The more Anthony, a Certified Financial PlannerTM practitioner, became familiarized with Greg’s philosophies, the more he realized that they applied just as much to his field of expertise: personal and family finance.

In comes Owning the Dash, a clear, concise, and accessible guide to finance that makes planning for your future easy and pain-free. Learn how to manage cash flow, knock out debt, minimize taxes, financially protect loved ones, invest with confidence, and save for both education and retirement.

Leaving a lasting legacy is important. Let Owning the Dash help you establish yours.

When I started this, I got very stressed out. Oh my gosh, financially I'm in a hole and I'm never getting out and I haven't done any of the things in this book. But, after I put it down for a minute, I decided to keep going. I WISH I would have read this in my early twenties. As soon as I was done, I talked with my husband and we decided that we need to come up with a game plan for 2024. I think Anthony does a great job giving advice and explaining financial language in this book especially for people like me who know next to nothing about finances, retirement planning, etc. Very knowledgeable and insightful!

A lot of good practical information for personal finance and planning. I listened to the book and used the website for reference material. I will probably buy the the book so I can fully grasp the concepts on paper and put them to work for me. I feel like it takes an accounting approach to personal finance by asking you to create a personal balance sheet to track net worth and see where you currently are.

Great read. For someone with a non-financial mind, it was extremely logical and approachable. The system makes good sense and answers a lot of the initial questions I would have asked. A great read for non-financial folks looking to figure out how to manage their personal finances.

An overall heartfelt book that was more tribute to Greg Plitt than financial knowledge/planning. In that sense the motivational message was more broad based (or fitness based), but the author uses it to apply to personal financial planning. It's a worthy message and one that needs to be told. The financial advice is solid as far as it goes, but it's more of an introductory message for those who have no idea where to even begin. If that's you, this is a good book to help hone in on what to do (or not do) and where to start. However for most people much of the message is too boiler plate to be actionable.
