Doug Jacobs would do anything for a friend. So, when the neighbor approaches him with a proposition that involves committing a home invasion against the wife of a neighborhood confidant, he is all too eager to help. But the plan does not go as planned, as the intended victim, Madeline Embay, a tough-as-nails fashion designer in the midst of a contentious divorce, proceeds to thwart the attack using deadly force leaving the conspirators scrambling, wounded and in retreat. The attack leaves a series of questions about who can and cannot be trusted as anyone in her circle could have been involved with the conspiracy to end her life. Meanwhile, Darlene Jacobs, Doug's mother, does not believe her son is guilty of the crime and sets about clearing her embattled son's name, even if it means the destruction of her own reputation in the process. With Madeline's life in jeopardy and Darlene seeking answers about her son's involvement, will the truth emerge in time to prevent another brutal attack?
