Temptation Island
By Rachel Woods

Quinn goes to an island to see if she can get her mojo back after having some really bad nightmares and losing some big cases. On this island she meets Icarus, who is her limo driver and the sparks fly. But while she is on the island she is being blackmailed and is wanting to find out who it doing this to her. But in her search of finding the blackmailer, everyone she talks to ends up dead. Now the police won’t let her leave because they think she is the killer. This is a hard review to write because I really liked the story line and how Quinn lost her mojo and needed to find a way to get it back. But I felt like the story was a little drawn out. But I will say the author did throw in a nice little twist about who the killer was. I also felt there were parts of the story where Quinn, for being such a smart person did some really stupid things.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

Quinn Miller is a lawyer questioning her own abilities after losing a few cases. Her friend suggests she take a break and she heads to St. Mateo where all her fantasies will come true. Icarus is the chauffeur who picks her up at the airport and her chauffeur while on the island. They make love and Quinn thinks it’s the start of her fantasy. She is mistaken, he is not her fantasy but their tryst leads to blackmail and a murder. Quinn needs to clear her name, things get really crazy and she needs to trust her instincts. Does Quinn clear herself and get her HEA?

I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author to give an honest review on Amazon.
Initially I found the book not to my taste as I could not fathom a successful lawyer having sex with a chauffeur she had met for the first time however later in the book I did start to enjoy reading the story though there were some inconsistencies with the story and that Quinn the lawyer in question does not live up to her intellectual abilities in my humble opinion .
Baring that it was a pleasant way to spend the afternoon .

I like once in awhile diving into a good mystery with since I have read this author before thought I crack open this one. In this one Quinn is the one that will have a lot on her plate. She needs a get away for a minute but seems that ain't gonna happen. Also a bit of heat creeps into this one with also danger and murder not to be left out. When time starts to speed up and things have to get cracking you will then be pulled in a rush. A good one is spun in this with our attention not dragging. It fills the bill for a mystery leaving satisfaction at the end.

I was hooked when I read the description of the book, and the first couple of chapters seemed intriguing.

The premise of an island that caters to the fantasies of women only was also captivating, although the actuality of it was a disappointment.

Unfortunately I didn't feel much of anything for the characters and the story seemed a bit all over the place.

While the revelation of who the murderer is, was very surprising, the story left me feeling a little disenchanted.

I received an ARC of Temptation Island and this is my honest review.

This was an interesting read. Keeping up with the twists was not the problem, interpreting them was for me. I did not see the end coming. Quinn is confused by strong enough to carry on no matter what, and I loved that. Icarus was an enigma as to who he really was. Together, they made a good team with lots of sparks despite the danger. This kept me entertained, and I enjoyed every minute.

I received a copy of this story from Candid Book Reviews, and this is my unsolicited review.

This was a good premise with a bad ending. Also, the middle part did have some twists and turns. However, there was a lot of whodunit back and forth--- too much. I feel like the murderer should have been someone else to make the story more believable. The murderer and motive were classic cliches so disappointing. It's a fun ride, except for the very end, and amazingly would make a successful movie, I think.

This is a very intriguing story of murder, mystery and romance. It is well written with plenty of twist and turns to keep your interest until the very end. Strong characters with chemistry and steam add to the plot and keep you turning pages. I received this book as a gift and voluntarily give this review.

This book was interesting enough to keep me reading. It wasn't so interesting that it captured my attention right away. I though the main character was alright she definitely had room to grow. There are plenty of steamy scenes with in the pages. I have not read this author before but I would give her another try.

Enjoyable

Enjoyable mystery from Rachel Woods. A beautiful setting in the Palmchat Islands is where Quinn, a lawyer goes for a vacation to try and regain her mojo! Quinn is chauffeured by a sexy Islander and her life spirals out if control. Mystery, murder and mayhem with some romance. A great read.

Ish and Quinn

Lovely romantic suspense story. Great writing style. My only frustration here was with Quinn. For a strong intelligent lawyer, she kept making some stupid decisions which could have gotten her killed. Despite that, this was good reading.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. This story is not only a romance but also a murder mystery.
Quinn is a high strung lawyer who had been having a really crappy couple of months, especial the nightmares. Her friend Lisa suggests she go to visit the island of St. Mateo and the Heliconia hotel. It's a very exclusive resort that caters to woman's fantasy's. Quinn meets Icarus, her driver. She is taken to the hotel, but they stop to see the sights. Icarus takes her to a secret beach and then stops at one of the resorts spa huts to see if it's locked. Seeing it's not her leads he inside to check it out. One thing leads to another and they make love. Things get crazy from there, she is always waiting for a fantasy to happen, dinner with a dark stranger, a hike to a waterfall, bring seduced by the men, and she turns then all down. She only wants to have something with Icarus. One afternoon a video shows up on get phone is then on the first day on the spa room, the sender demanding money. Well things get crazy and crazier. You got to read to see how it all plays out. See if you can figure out what's going on.
