I hate Veronica for the whole first part of the book. I thought she was so stupid for having these ideas and not fighting, however something maintain me there. It maybe was that was slightly different to the rest of the books and i want to know how it ends. Anyway, it becomes an interesting story of how to love life, despite the tittle.

This book has such good quotes
But I didn’t like the plot twist
I didn’t expect for it to get in that way and change the whole book’s mood in the middle of the book. It gets me bored and i have to force myself to read the rest of it

Had it's flaws. A certain part was predictable. It felt like certain lines were forced. But it was an enjoyable experience. An emotional journey. I thought that the novel was style over substance, but it's not true it had a message that was conveyed well.

This book was really good, but I have to admit it took me longer to read because it isn’t the easiest to understand at first. Paulo Coelho writes in a way that feels very psychological, so I needed more time to follow the point of view and the layers of the story. But once I settled into it, I found it genuinely interesting and surprisingly natural.
What I appreciate most is how the book explores mental health in a calm and honest way. It doesn’t just describe how mental struggles shape a person’s life. It also shows how someone can slowly learn to face those feelings and accept different parts of themselves. Coelho creates a quiet space where the characters feel real and fragile, and that makes the message stronger.

Enjoyed reading the book.
But I wanted to know a little more about Veronica. because I couldn't honestly grasp her whole situation.
The thing that I was able to learn from those characters is that when we are faced with a scenario of death, we try to introspect honestly without any bias or judgment of society.

It's all about what it means to be mad. Not something I'd recommend to a friend.

Basically I left the book halfway because it couldn't grab my attention, so yeah shamelessly rating on the 50% I have read and the 50% I don't plan on reading anytime soon

The message at the end is really good. Only the self pleasure part that I didn't like much but overall it's a good book.

could've been better. I didn't like the plot honestly and the first couple chapters were difficult to read. didn't enjoy it.
