Zion and Harlow met in the previous book when he was one of the bodyguards assigned by KSI to protect Kellan, best friend to Beau, Harlow's older brother. However, when an attempt was made on Harlow's life, using the same poison Kellan almost died from, Zion's duties switch to her as her father, the head of Clan Odal, believes their clan is under attack.

Harlow has long resigned herself to the fact when her mom died, she lost her dad as well because it was as if he forgot his daughter existed unless it benefitted him in some way. Such is the case now as he's arranged with a fellow clan to marry their offspring to one another, a human tradition. As if that's not shocking enough, the couple aren't mates, but based upon the prophecy Harlow was given by her clan's crone, her mating is meant to be a happy one regardless.

Zion's focus has always been on completing his assignments, never getting personally involved or attached in anyway, but he can't seem to detach himself from Harlow. Sadness surrounds her, and it seems as if no one has her best interests at her. But what can he do? He's just her bodyguard, right?

And then they both her the call and realize they've found their mate in one another, and it changes everything. Or does it? In the two clans' eyes, a binding arrangement has been made and must be fulfilled. However, in the world of the Kindred, you don't deny a mating bond.

What's Harlow to do? Make a decision that makes things better for everyone else and saves her mate from suffering per the prophecy? Or fight for the man she's fallen for and the future they could have?

One-click now and follow along as two people realize they're meant to be just in the nick of time, but must still face obstacles in their path to forever.

Falling Hard!!!

Harlow of Clan Odal had always been on the narrow path. She had to focus on survival in a world full of obligations. She hated the distance that was between her and her father. In the previous book ( UNEXPECTED BRIDE ) she was poisoned by an anti-Kindred group and taken to the hospital where one of King's operatives, Zion was watching over her.

Zion of Clan Kenaz took his job as Security Specialist very seriously, he didn't have time for any distractions. But all that changed when he was Harlow ('s little sister). Who also happened to be his fated mate but she was promised to other.

The way her father was treating her was very heartbreaking and Zion saw that as well as well and he didn't like it. He wanted to always see Harlow happy. After a discussion with Beau, he realized that the Odal clan's Crone might not be as trustworthy as they thought. Harlow and Zion finally mated against her father's wishes and he threatened to disown her.

Her mate had her back and took her to see his family. Meeting his parents and colleagues was surreal, she never experienced so much unconditional love. She felt loved and accepted. When the newly mates found themselves in peril, they had each other's backs.

FORBIDDEN BRIDE is the fourth book in Moxie North's 7 BRIDES FOR 7 BEARS series. It was heartwrenching, intriguing and beautiful. Marvelous job by Moxie North. Two thumbs up!

P. S. Can't wait for what comes next! ;)

Very strangely for this author this was nearly a DID NOT FINISH due to unacceptable thinking.
I was enjoying this with how they were struggling with being mates. A nice change of pace to have a mating not flow smoothly.
Until a certain point arrived and then it just got too stupid to be believed.
I hate stupid cowardly women. There are certain women who should never be heroines, Harlow is one of them.
I really thought Harlow was going to mature into someone strong but then she gives up too easily and without even telling anyone about who shot Zion, just crawls back to her prison and agrees to go through with the clans arranged marriage.
It nearly became a DNF for me when Harlow wondered if Zion would be happy to share her with her husband.
Her MATE was supposed to be a booty call. WHAT THE HELL is wrong with this imbecile?
After this fact, I just didn’t care about what happened to her.
If the author had just had her worried for her mates safety and was doing it to protect him, I could have lived with that.
But all the talk about meeting for sex twice a year and booty calls whilst married to someone else annoyed the hell out of me.
Mates are sacred and special.
I only finished it to see if Zion could get another mate. Pity he didn’t.
What happened to the Ollie’s Jr and Snr at the end?
This is my honest review of this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is the first book I’ve ever read that I have a favorite line from. “The men walked out of the apartment shoulder to shoulder like a wall of ‘don’t (expletive) with us.” That is the best line EVER! I love this story for so many reasons! The main thing that I loved about this story is that despite the main characters having different racial backgrounds, the story didn’t focus on that as much as other stories have. It gets mentioned briefly, and then there is just story, not focus from one side of the other. Zion and Harlow are a good couple even though they both have some odd ideas about making their mate happy and it’s nearly their undoing. I love how friends and family comes together to see to it that they get their chance. While not a cliffhanger in the traditional sense, it does end in a cliffhanger. While I’m waiting on one couple’s story in particular, I’m also curious about the clan crones. They are a hilarious bunch, but they leave many mysteries in their wakes.

Favorite!!

I think this is now my FAVORITE 7B7Bso far. This book at times made me want to cry for Harlow it's hard to feel good about yourself and your decisions when family is not what they should be to you. When you have a parent treat you poorly it's so easy to feel like your not enough. So when you have to meet new people you automatically assume that they wont like you (personal experience here).

Harlow and Zion face the same problems every couple faces when they get into a serious relationship cause your life does change. I also really liked that they both were kindred because all the other mates were human. I just love this couple so much!! I loved how everyone was surprised to see him smile and that he was smiling because of her.

When you find out the person/shifter you are hired to guard is your mate it's a mess. When you find out at her engagement party...

Zion was a good agent. It was his pride now he had to make decisions he was unprepared for. He knew one thing—mates come first. And Harlow was gonna be his.

Harlow had more on her mind. Her life was the pits and she had even further down to go before it was over. Obligations, predictions, clan, family (ha) it was all for other people needs, not hers.

Characters to love. Enemies who should never be enemies--to hate. Steam. A compelling story. Ms. North has once again given her readers a winner.

Amazing story about 2 different shifters finding that they are mates

Zion is a bear shifter working for KSI and is assigned to a wolf shifter that was given the same kind of poison that Kellen had been given. Why was Harlow targeted? Is Harlow and Zion mates?

The characters are emotional, caring, and sexy. The fast pace dramatic mystery has some unique elementss to the story.
I like the fact that shifters have problems even when they have a fated mate. Is there some conspiracy against shifters.

I am looking forward to the next in this series. Highly recommended.

Zion Finds the Love He Never Knew He Needed

Moxie North adds to her 7 Brides for 7 Beats series, with Forbidden Bride.

When you father uses you as a pawn, when your fiancé could care less if you are alive, when your future mother-in-law treats you in the cruelest way, you find comfort away from your clan.

Moxie writes a dream for each of us looking for our special someone, whether they be wolf, bear, or human.

Sweet, sassy, and satisfying

My biggest issue was that some sentences read a bit awkwardly. Sometimes it was a wrong word or an extra word thrown in, but sometimes it just read difficultly. It was the same approximate length as the first two. The characters were great though and you were able to see the continued development of previously introduced characters. Overall, I enjoyed this a great deal.

Harlow's Journey

This is part of s series and it helps if you hsve at least read the previous book.

This is Harlow and Zion's story. Harlow is trying to be the dutiful daughter to please her father and it makes her miserable. Zion, is trying to protect her so she can find her own path. And hopefully that path leads to him and their happily ever after

Great read

So good. Zion and Harlow were such an interesting and entertaining story. Really liked how relatable their struggles were after the mating.
The underlying story was really good, although the lack of closure and explanation for her father and Simone was a little frustrating.

UWEE!!! DANG Near Perfect

The blurb for this story got my attention in a big way, plus knowing it was written by Moxie North I just knew it would be simply amazing! Once I started reading it it it just sucked me in all the way to the end.
I can’t imagine any one of Moxie North’s be less than perfect.
Forbidden Bride is part of a series but can be read alone.

I absolutely love the 7 Brides for 7 Bears Series, they can be read as stand alones as well.
Zion was sent by Harlows father to stand guard over her after she was poisoned. An unwanted marriage deal that was upended could mean disaster for Harlows Clan. A must read

Forbidden Bride: 7 Brides for 7 Bears

I knew that Varou Crone was up to no good. I think Harlow will be able to have kids with Zion. Her dad deserves everything that's coming to him. I wonder if Nadia and Luca are mates.

Wow

I really enjoyed Harlow and Zion's story.
The fact that both loved each other but stumbled while finding their groove made this story special.
Zion knows his job, but a mate? Clueless.

It was a suspenseful touch and go journey for Harlowe and Zion. Of course, as with all good stories, it ends happily ever after. I'm just waiting for Luca's love story!

Rollercoaster

Whoa! One extreme to the other with just the flip of a page. Definitely some thing more going on in the overarching storyline, but you get a HFN ending.
