"We've done too many wrongs against each other. We're enemies. And that's always the way it's going to be."

Erik and Magnar are trapped within the hands of the new queen, Valentina, while their loved ones will stop to no end to get revenge. While Callie and Montanna desperately race south to reach the holy mountain to break the curse but Valentina is hot on their heels. The sisters must overcome the trials that are thrown in their way and save the men they love before it's too late.

⤷ This book was less action-filled and slower compared to the other books. I enjoyed how the characters were able to have fun and time to themselves even for one night before being thrown back into their never-ending chaos!

⤷ ERICK AND MAGNAR!!!! OMG, THEIR BANTER!

⤷ Clarice and Julius! WOW! I'm such trash for the enemies to lovers trope and this pairing really hits the spot. They have centries worth conflict and now are forced to work together. Their interactions are the best!

⤷ Valentina is the worst. Usually, I'm a massive fan of the villains but I just can't stand her. There were times that I felt for her but she's just so annoying!

⤷ WHAT AN ENDING!! These books truly have the most intense cliffhangers! This book was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time!!

⤷ It makes me so sad to see this series coming and I'm so anxious for next!

"I was his."
"He was mine."
"And the idea of losing him made e feel as weak as if a thousand suns were beating down on my back."

The books truly do not disappoint! Love these characters and their journey and can't wait to see how it concludes!

Thank you, Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, for providing a copy of this book for an honest review! :)

“If you die, I'd rather go out at your side.”
“I can't let-” Erik started but Julius cut him off.
“We get it, you'd both die for each other. Now can you get moving please, lovebirds, or you might end up actually fulfilling that promise.”

I liked this book a lot, especially the second half, but that ending killed me, just like the sisters cruelly murdered *beeeeeeep*. Plus, WHO WOULD HAVE SEEN that ending? I honestly didn't. I'm an emotional mess and I want the next book but I also really don't want the next book because I don't want to say goodbye to the characters.

》》The Plot《《

So Magnar and Erik are still under Valentina's control (I take every drop of pity I've felt for her back; the bitch has to go down in flames), the Belvederes and the slayers are on the run and the Biters seem to have taken control of the Empire. The gods meddle a little more (with Odin himself showing up), hearts are broken and mended, more detail from the past come to light and the prophecy is one step closer to being fulfilled.

》》Characters and Relationships《《

I loved how all the characters kind of bonded togheter in a weird and more or less uncomfortable way. It was entertaining to watch them biting each other’s heads off while also fiercely fighting to save the other when danger came looking for them.

“No one wants to see your tiny todger,” Julius mocked. “And if they did, they'd have to find a magnifying glass first.”
“Ha. Ha,” Fabian said dryly. “As you can see I have no such problem.”
I shook my head, unable to believe they were having this conversation right now. Was Fabian just sitting there showing Julius his bits?!
“You wanna see what a real man looks like?” Julius asked.
“For fuck's sake, you lot,” Miles called from the front. “Let's not start a whose dick is bigger party. At least wait until we can join in later.”
Fabian started laughing and Julius actually cracked up too.

The guys were teasing each other sooooo much that it was impossible not to grin like a cheshire cat at almost every scene with them. But, moving forward, let's highlight a few of my favorite pairs.

👩🏻🧑🏻‍💼 Montana and Erik

“I will only ever kneel willingly for one woman,” Erik said, his eyes adoring as he gazed at me.
“And who is she?” I teased and he smiled broadly.
“She's moonlight embodied, she's every star in my own personal sky. She's fierce and protective of those she loves and even those she doesn't. She gave her life for me and she stayed at my side when I didn't deserve it.”

The cute and bity cinnamonrolls. They just have to be protected at all costs. They are so very in love and sweet togheter, but sometimes I miss their banter.

🤺👩🏼Magnar and Callie

“I’ve never known anything like you, Callie,” he sighed, a deep satisfaction lacing his tone. “And I know I’ll never want anyone else ever again.”
“This is it,” I agreed, my heart lifting at the truth of the words. “You and me.”
“Forever,” he murmured, pulling me beneath his arm.

Still a power couple, still reminding me extremely much of Rose and Dimitri and still

🤺🧑🏻‍💼Magnar and Erik

“Who cares if they're friends now? That's a good thing, isn't it?”
“I didn't say friends,” Magnar muttered under his breath.
“Neither did I,” I said, equally quiet. But I couldn't deny we were something.

I told you I could feel the beginning of a bromance here!!! I mean, if they wouldn't have bonded after everything they went through while Valentina held them, they would have never been anything else but enemies.

👩🏼🧑🏽‍💼Callie and Fabian

“I’m not close with him,” I replied as I looked up at the huge space stacked with bales of hay and straw. “We’re just... weird friends.”

I kind of like this new development in their relationship. I think Fabian just wanted to feel loved and it took his bond with Callie as a sign from the gods that he was meant to be with her and, of course, Callie being the awesome girl she is, he had no issues actually getting attached to her.

“I came to New York with the full intention of hurting you if I could,” I pointed out.
“I suppose so,” he agreed. “Maybe I can overlook your crimes because of how dearly I’d like to get in your pants.”
“Perhaps you should just screw Julius then? And then you could stop hating him too.”
“I’ll leave kissing the slayers to Erik for now,” Fabian replied with a smile.

I still think he likes her, but I don’t exactly think he loves her. And I like how both of them seem to be settling for friendship.

🧍‍♂️👸🏼Julius and Clarice

“Shut your damn mouth, slayer. I saved you because we're allies, alright? And we need you to bring down Valentina. Once she's dead, I won't hesitate to rip your pretty head off.”
“You think I'm pretty,” he choked out against her fierce grip.
“That's what you heard in what I said?” she snarled.

They taunt each other so much that I'm gonna miss it when they'll go from enemies to allies to lovers (because I have no doubt that's where their relationship is going). And I really hope we won't be robbed of this couple because I'll be thoroughly disappointed.

"Just do what you do best and continue to hate me,” Clarice insisted. “It would make this a lot less awkward.”
“How am I supposed to hate you after you saved my life?” he blurted then fell quiet as if he hadn't meant to say it.

After this and after Montana and Erik caught them kissing (yes, yes, they were both drunk, but every one knows that little kids and drunk people always tell the truth, so their drunken kiss is more of a proof that I'm expecting romance from them then anything else) I will not accept as valid anything but lovers for these two.

》》Favorite Scenes《《

🧑🏽‍💼👩🏼Fabian and Callie reaching a weird sort of relationship
👸🏼🧍‍♂️Clarice jumping after Julius
👩🏼🧑🏽‍💼🧑🏼‍💼🧑🏿‍💼Callie allowing Fabian, Miles and Warren to feed from her
🧑🏻‍💼🧑🏽‍💼Erik and Fabian from the past talking about Erik's night with Valentina - gossiping like two teenage girls after their first date

“She gave me her body. She laid down her weapon and took her clothes off.”
“You fucked a slayer?!” Fabian blurted.
I pushed a hand into my hair with a shrug.
“Don't shrug,” he said, pointing at me. “I want every detail.”
“You're not angry?” I asked.
“Why would I be angry with you for bedding Magnar's betrothed?” He started laughing and I couldn't help but join in. “Details, Erik, for the love of the gods. You must tell me everything.”

👩🏻🙍🏻‍♀️Montana almost killing Valentina
⚡Odin showing up (in the past, but still...)
👩🏻🧑🏽‍💼Montana hugging Fabian
⚡Odin helping
🧑🏻‍💼🤺Erik and Magnar being released from the spell

“Where does this lead?”
“To freedom,” he replied. “It’s time I got back to my damn wife.”

👩🏼🧛🏼‍♀️Callie meeting Chickoa
🧑🏻‍💼👩🏻Erik and Montana reuniting
👩🏼🤺Callie and Magnar reuniting
⚔Slayers versus vampires sparing
👩🏻Montana learning to fight
🎲The never have I ever game

“Well, I’ve never forgotten a lover’s name by the next morning,” Clarice said, raising an eyebrow at Julius, her intention clearly to get revenge for his dig at her.
“Does it still count if I didn’t know her name in the first place?” Julius clarified.

🧑🏻‍💼Erik's "little balls" game
🧑🏽‍💼🧑🏻‍💼Fabian and Erik having a heart to heart
🧑🏻‍💼🧑🏽‍💼🧍‍♂️🧛🏻‍♀️Erik, Fabian, Julius and Chickoa playing "most likely"
👩🏻🧑🏻‍💼👸🏼🧍‍♂️Montana and Erik stumbling on Clarice and Julius
🗡The fight against Idun
🤺Magnar's new life perspective

》》Conclusion《《

I'm glad I've picked it up and I am once more convinced I'll have to hunt down every book written by the sisters, because everything I've tried so far ended up capturing me.
I'm shook and also kind of enthusiastic because the ending certainly changes a few things and I'm really looking forward to the next book. Of course I'm also totally heart broken over that DEATH SCENE and I still can't believe it.

“By the gods, I'm starving,” Julius groaned from the seat opposite me.
I opened my eyes, frowning at him. “How can you be hungry right now?”
“I eat when I'm emotional,” he said with a hint of a smile.

“We’ve done too many wrongs against each other. We’re enemies. And that’s always the way it’s going to be.”

Just when you think nothing else terrible can happen it does! The characters continue to surprise me and the way they have grouped together prove a formidable force. I love these characters, the trials and struggles. I don’t want to stay too much…but these ladies really know how to leave the reader hanging with endings that you would never ever see coming.

Eternal Storm is the sixth book in the Age of Vampires series and it was addicting, I read it in one sitting. The twists and turns that Caroline and Suanne create are so mind blowing.

“I was his.”
“He was mine.”
“And the idea of losing him made e feel as weak as if a thousand suns were beating down on my back.”

Erik and Magnar are trapped within the hands of the new queen, Valentina, while their loved ones will stop to no end to get revenge. While Callie and Montanna desperately race south to reach the holy mountain to break the curse but Valentina is hot on their heels. The sisters must overcome the trails that are thrown in their way and save the men they love before it’s too late.

This book was a bit less action filled and slower compared to the other books. I enjoyed how the characters were able to have fun and time to themselves even for one night before being thrown back into their never-ending chaos!

“Angelica,” Valentina addressed her, smoothing down the creases in her jumpsuit. “Any more word from the base?”
“No,” Angelica answered. “I tried calling but there was no answer.”

This whole story-line is so unique, and the creativity behind the characters and the plot is just great! So much has happened since the first novel, and these characters have grown so much. That’s why I’ve really been loving Caroline’s books, they’re so different and unique, she is definitely an author to look out for! I’ve never read anything from Susanne, other than this series so far, but I’m looking forward to more from her.

This series is something to look out for… SERIOUSLY. You will be hooked from book one, and its hold on you until the very end. That cliff-hangar, got me so shook. These books truly have the most intense cliffhangers! This book was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time!! I highly recommend it!

And I’m sooo happy that I just (May 9) started reading the 7th book, Eternal Love, review soon!!

The twisted sisters have done it again. This book had another heartbreaking cliffhanger and I'm so excited to see what the ending means for Magnor in particular (that poor man has really been through it), and what it will mean for his relationship with Callie. I totally get why this series is called Age of vampires now. I will be reading book 7 soon though I have to read a book for Uni first😭. RTC.
This review is like 6 weeks late but I miles well finally write now. Montana and Callie are reeling and heartbroken after Montana's husband Erik and Callie's boyfriend Magnor were turned against them by Valentina and the ancient goddess Idun. They are determined to get their lovers back with the help of Erik's siblings and Magnor's brother Julius but it is dangerous for them as this could lead to them being killed by the men they love. Not to mention that the alliance between the vampires and the humans is a fragile one due to the centuries of hatred and distrust between the two species. Meanwhile Erik and Magnor are now in love with Valentina as they are now under her control and they have forgotten about everything that she has done against them, and both humans and vampires. Valentina has had herself proclaimed as queen of the realms and she has sent forces to kill Montana and Callie. She later ends up sending Erik and Magnor to kill the twins themselves after these forces fail to kill them. However the twins manage to get another god to reverse the spell that has been cast on Erik and Magnor. This means that Erik and Magnor suddenly turn on Valentina and they attempt to kill her, though they are obviously unsuccessful. They then return to the women they love as well as their siblings and friends. Everything is going really well for a while. However this is a twisted sisters book so when everything is going really well it means that everything is about to go wrong in astronomic proportions. Idun suddenly appears and holds everyone hostage. She eventually ends up killing Miles (Erik's brother) and his husband Warren. This obviously devastates everyone but Magnor ends up killing Idun but not before she turns into a vampire. Magnor has always hated vampires so this is definitely going to have ramifications in the next book (I've since read the 7th book after writing the early parts of this review). These books are so fun to read and I definitely think they're underrated.

HOLY SHIT. Each book is better than the last in this series. I will say the Magnar/Erik chapters under Valentina’s control were insufferable, but it was a very small portion of the book. And that ending was CRAZY—I was on the edge of my seat the last 20% of the book. My heart is breaking for every single character rn the twisted sisters really are twisted

Seriously, when you think it can't get any worse, it does. This ending was gut-wrenching!!!!

There seemed to be a lot of filler in this one. Which I'm coming to expect unfortunately. But even with the filler, I still wanted to continue reading.

I'm not even sure what to say at this point. I'm so glad I can read the last book, because I'm shook.

Eternal Storm
is the sixth book in the Age of Vampire series and continues the story of Callie, Magnar, Montana and Erik.

I’m again speechless. I don’t know how to express my feelings for Eternal Storm. This book is again such an amazing, well written and quick read. I loved the characters and I just cannot get enough of this series. I’m so sad that the next book will be the last one.

I really loved Eternal Storm because of the bonding between the characters. Not just between Callie and Magnar, and Montana and Erik. Just the slayers and vampires in general. I also loved seeing the more vulnerable side of Fabian, I really loved the moments between Magnar and Erik, and then we have Julius and Clarice…

Eternal Storm was yet again an amazing sequel, and Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti are amazing authors. And the ending of this book… I need the next book in the series, Eternal Love!

I AM UNWELL

SEND ME TO THE HOSPITAL FOR CHEST PAINS

SERIOUSLY HAVEN’T THEY BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH??!

I loved it but I refuse to rate it 5 stars because that ending was CRIMINAL (even though I kind of love the crazy mess of it and where it’s driving the plot) I was STRESSED for the last 20% of this I was not ok god I felt like I held my breath for the last 50 pages

I love this series so much and I’m sad I’m almost done, but I’m so relieved that this is the last crazy cliffhanger ending of the series because my heart can’t take it anymore🤣😅 I think the ending of book 5 murdered my emotions more but this one was rough too damn

Let me just sit with my thoughts on this for a moment because my head is spinning so fast after this book, I lost my mind. Definitely had a nice turn around from book 5 even though much of this first half was entirely unnecessary and infuriating. But it reeeally picked up by the second half and I was finally able to breathe; in all seriousness, I just love this plot and the character development in this book & story overall is so strong and unique. It’s remarkable how many different emotions you can feel for the same character.

And another diabolical ending, I almost threw my kindle but it’s fine I’m just not going to sleep tonight because THE FINAL BOOK must commence 🫠🩸🧛🏻‍♀️🤺

Original review

This book was provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti!

Ravaged Souls is the sixth book in the Age of Vampires series and continues the story of twin-sisters Callie and Montana. This book was previously published in 2019 and is now rewritten and revamped.

A few weeks later, and we already have Ravaged Souls, the sixth book in the Age of Vampires series. It's so nice that the authors, Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, are publishing the books close to each other, so we don't have to wait long for the next book in the series. Ravaged Souls was another great addition to the Age of Vampires series. I liked the original books published in 2019, and it's so nice to read Callie and Montana's story again, but now in a rewritten version. The main story is still the same, but the authors made some changes to make the story even better.

Forsaken Relic continues the story of twin-sisters, Callie and Montana. You read in their POV, but you also read in the POV of their love interests, Magnar and Erik. Forsaken Relic has lots of action and drama, but there's also some room for romance and spice. Please be aware that this book also has some scenes with sexual assault/coerced sexual behaviour. If this not something you like, please skip this book.

It's so nice to be in the Age of Vampires world again, I really missed Callie and Montana. I'm really happy that the authors decided to revamp the books, because the Age of Vampire series needs more attention! This vampire book series isn't your typical vampire love story, and if you're a fan of vampires, slayers, slow-burn romance and epic fights, then the Age of Vampires series is definitely something for you!

THE BOOK WAS LONGGGG BLESSED BEEEE
Finally, a long enough book to really sink in some plot points. So much went down here.
Magnar and Erik under that love influence was really good. I liked getting their inner thoughts as we went through the book to see how their thoughts were going. Loved when they got pulled out of it. Damn i hate that bitch.
The spicy scenes were fabulous. No notes.
But really we are all here to talk about the ENDING.
first off justice for baby miles and warren - that was just cruel guys. I sat in shock and almost cried.
Magnar my poor man its time to see the other side of things. Julius is going to be distraught and Magnar himself is going to no doubt push Callie away cause he's "a monster" now yada yada. Typical man.
Shocking yet we are going into the last book where they are trying to break this curse so. I don't expect it to last long.
GIMME THE NEXT.

WAIT -
how could i forget to mention the amazingness of Clarice and Julius. please tell me we will be getting their pov in the next book because I'm heavily invested in them like im dying to see it done. needs to happen asap and i need to witness it.

"Angelica," Valentina addressed her, smoothing down the creases in her jumpsuit. "Any more word from the base?"
"No," Angelica answered. "I tried calling but there was no answer."

5++ stars once again!!

What more is there left to say about these two authors and this breathtaking series?? I do have to admit that having a character named after you in a book by one of your all-time favorite authors has been one of the absolute highlights of my career as a reader. [Side note: my full name is Angelica!] I am so amazed and grateful that Caroline allowed me to be a Biter who ended up receiving a brutal and well-deserved death--I loved every second of it!!!

Now back to the novel: Caroline and Susanne have once again successfully delivered a novel that was nonstop, breathtaking, heart-stopping, and soul-crushing with an absolutely unpredictable ending. The ending had me completely on edge as the suspense and tension was unbearable, and you could just feel that something fucked-up was about to happen. The Queens of Cliffhangers have struck again, and I am dying to see how this magnificent series will end with ETERNAL LOVE!

My Erik, fiercely protective and unapologetically in love with Montana his Rebel... :)

My Magnar, Blessed Crusader and badass Warrior of the Sun...

Erik and Montana, savoring their stolen moments together....

After chapter 26, this became the funniest book in the series for me so far. The characters really came together, dancing, playing games, and just being with each other in a way that felt warm and real. It was a genuine joy to read.

And then... Miles and Warren. Their loss hit hard. I cried a lot. It shattered me, and I wasn't prepared for how brutal it would feel.

Julius and Callie are everything, stubborn, ridiculous, adorable. Their dynamic is pure gold, and I love every second of their slow burn.

This book made me laugh, cry, surprised... I love this series.

I stayed up all night to finish this novel. This is the penultimate book in this series and it did not disappoint.

I love these characters, the trials and struggles. I don't want to stay too much...but these ladies really know how to leave the reader hanging with endings that you would never ever see coming.

This novel was steamy, exciting, scary (as I was worried for my favourite characters), heartbreaking and heartwarming, and still always full of hope. Caroline and Susanne have a way of bringing out every emotion in me when I'm reading their novels.

I cannot wait to see how this series is going to end.

We’re getting verrrry repetitive. Books 5 & 6 could have easily been morphed into one book. It would have cut way down on the sheer number of fight scenes and bone-town scenes. We’re just copying and pasting at this point.

They’re still incredibly easy to read and I’m flying through them. One more to go!

Buckle up friends, the amount of action in this book really makes me feel like this should be closer to the middle of the series and not at the end!!! So much happens, characters develop, we learn so much — but it feels like it took us so long to get to this point.

Prepare to be devastated and shocked in the final 5%
Might be my favorite cliff hanger of the series so far.

Obsessed with Erik and Montana, so much love for Fabian, and I looove Julius’ character. Magnar stays pissing me off throughout the majority of this book (much like he has through the entire series), but at the end he manages to somehow redeem himself. I might not hate him anymore? I’m a hard sell, but I THINK my opinion of him has changed? We will see if he can officially win me over in the final book of this series.

I still have an incredible amount of unanswered questions (the ring, how did the twins parents obtain it, etc.) but I am trying to have faith in these authors to answer them in book 7! They’ve never left us with a major plot hole before, so I’m reallllllly trusting.

The series is long but worth it. The tension is DELICIOUS and you fall in love with all the characters.

My rating: 4.5/5 (round up for the sake of GoodReads!)
I would definitely recommend this series!

Specifically for:
- lovers of Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti (The Twisted Sisters)
- fans of vampires (guilty)
- readers willing to read long series when there's a good payoff

3.5 stars, i feel like so much happened but we didn’t get anything done till the last 50-75 pages. these are really short books though so i get it, just felt like a filler book before the finale. i still LOVED it as the characters are some of my favorites and i loved the evolution of all the different relationships and friendships, just was a bit boring sometimes? i will obviously be continuing/finishing the series though as the next is the last and i need to know how this finishes. (also the last book is smaller than this one????? wdym by that)
