Drew Strickland is an Amazon #1 bestselling author of the Sheriff Elven Hallie Mysteries along with other twisted crime and psychological thrillers.
He resides in Arizona with his wife and kids. When he’s not writing, he can be found reading, exploring new cities, spending time with his family, and of course, cuddling with his many cats (for real, cats just love him and he loves them).

Exodus is the third book in the Soulless Wanderers series. I am so hooked on this series. We have Dan who is honestly a psychopath (but trying ti fight the urge); then we have Pax who is the complete opposite. The characters are developing so much and it is great to see! The action is non-stop. I love how each one has raised the bar each time and can't wait to read the next one! Highly recommend reading!
I received my ARC from the author and this is my honest voluntary review.
The premise drew me from the start of the series, and it continues to do so. Exodus is a brilliant addition to the saga of the Soulless Wanderers. The storyline is a fast-paced, engaging zombie apocalypse with enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. The world-building is well done with compelling and complex characters. No matter how much Dan encompasses himself with normalities, he continues to struggle with his inner demons and a killer's instinct. Pax is trying to atone for his sins, supporting other survivors, and along comes an unlikely encounter. Both men are confronted with obstacles, some of their own makings. I'm utterly intrigued by the contrast of the two men and their relationship with their groups. The ending blew my mind away, and I can't wait to find out what comes next.
Matthew Crow hones in on the characters, breathing life into them, and the story. He did a fantastic job with this book, engrossing me even further. Both author and narrator are excellent storytellers, and I'm strongly recommending this audiobook.
This episode of the Soulless Wanderers series follows Daniel/Danny and his exploits with a group of survivors. Can he keep the killer inside himself in check, is there someone inside him worthy of being around other people – these are all questions that come up as his group heads to his remote compound. Additionally, Pax comes into the equation as this story progresses. Will Pax’s past catchup with him? While I read the first two episodes, listening to this episode with Matthew Crow’s narration really brought the story to life. I’m looking forward to digging into book 4 of this series.
This was great it really tied up the two previous books and the two main protagonists although still played a part were joined by three strong women/child. This allowed more of the backstory to develop.
Really do want to know what happens next - it so ended on a cliff hanger
I was given a free copy by the author but the review is my own.
