i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the tenth book in the Worth It series. In this book, Wyatt is a single father of a twelve year old girl named Tempi. Wyatt met Vance shortly after his wife died in childbirth and Wyatt was struggling with a newborn. Vance introduced himself and offered to help. They became friends and soon Wyatt was leaning on Vance for more. They had an affair, but Wyatt ended things when rumors started about them. Twelve years later, Wyatt is still alone and Vance has never gotten over him. Vance is now Tempi's math teacher and when she get in trouble in school, Vance knows he will have to see Wyatt. Vance is still attracted to Wyatt, but he can't live as a secret and vows to keep his distance from him. Wyatt still cares for Vance and can't resist him. When Wyatt must decide if he can publically be with Vance and still be a good father to Tempi, or will he lose Vance forever. I really liked this book. It was emotional and i think vance and Wyatt really loved each other, but Wyatt was scared to admit he loved a man. Vance had to be strong and realize if he couldn't be with Wyatt he needed to move on. Wyatt needed to put his own happiness over what others thought and he could still be a great father if he was with someone. I loved this series and thought all of the books were great. I love how each was woven with the others. Great series.

Wyatt was grieving over the death of his wife during childbirth now he has been left with his daughter Temperance, Vance is a friend that helped Wyatt with his daughter and to help him to try and cope and a love affair starts between them. There are rumours going around town about Wyatt and Vance and Wyatt couldn’t handle it so he pushes Vance away and breaks his heart in two. 12 years later they come back in to each other’s lives when Vance is Temperance’s teacher, even though they do love each other Vance has trust issues towards Wyatt and he won’t be anyone’s dirty little secret. I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This is Vance and Wyatt's story and it is so good. They were together 12 years ago right after Wyatt's daughter was born and his wife died. Vance feel hard for Wyatt only for Wyatt to call it quits due to guilt and worry. 12 years later Wyatt's daughter (Tempy) is in Vance's 7th grade math class and they now have to face their past love, hurts and fears/guilts. I loved reading their story, sinking into them figure out where they stand, how much they love and how ok it is to just be each others perfect fit. Great great story!

Seems to be the last book in the Worth it Series. I loved and enjoyed reading all 10 books. So I am a little sad that it ends. This very emotional, hot and steamy series about men who struggle with coming out, war injuries, losing beloved ones and so much more to finally finding true love makes You wish sometimes, being a man living in Worthington would be awesome. The final book with Vance and Wyatt, especially the epilogue was a great ending. If you enjoy M/M romances than read this series but start with the first book. They are all standalones but everybody knows everyone and they reappear in other books.
Twelve years ago Wyatt lost his wife during child birth. He was so depressed. The only thing that kept him going was his daughter Tempy and his new friendship with Vance. Vance helped him with some of the burden. Things started to change and he wanted more from Vance but Vance was nineteen and he was thirty-five. He felt guilty about loving someone besides his wife and for caring about another man so he broke it off. Vance is now his daughter teacher and seeing him again has brought all the feelings back. Is Wyatt ready for a relationship with Vance? I really love this book and series.
This series just gets better and better. Wyatt wife died in childbirth leaving him to take care of his daughter alone. So Vance offered to help him and things grew to much more. When the rumors starting coming out on their relationship Wyatt pushed Vance away. So when his daughter is in help again Vance steps up and all of the old feelings come rushing back. Will finally Wyatt let into those feelings and final be happy? A well written story, steamy chemistry. A great series.

This is a wonderful culmination to a great series.
Wyatt is a widower with a twelve year old daughter...who at times seems to have an edge up on her dad in the relationship area. She is able to cut through the minutia and delve to the heart of an issue. And then explain it to her dad in such a way that he too sees what she's forcing him to look at. As a result he is able to look forward to a future they will all benefit from. One he has wanted for years.
The romantic ending is so sweet...if it can happen in Texas, it can happen anywhere!
This story shows how people feel guilty and put too much pressure on themselves and let gossip and rumors run their lives. The deep love that Vance has for Wyatt is one of epic proportions in my book. Wyatt’s celibacy after he leaves Vance is extremely admirable and also makes me feel as if he never stopped loving Vance. It takes the wisdom of a child to fix things. The ending with everyone doing what they did, surprised me because the other books contradict this scene.
Vance and Wyatt ended their relationship 12 years ago. Now Wyatt's daughter is in Vance's class, what will it be like to see him talk to him, he still loves him after all this time. Join Vance as he negotiates seeing Wyatt and the feelings he has. Will he get a second chance? Read his journey to find out. Fun story of family and history.

Vance and Wyatt were once close, but rumors, confusion, and guilt ended their relationship. Twelve years later they are brought together again by Wyatt's moody and troubled preteen daughter. Vance is equally leery and hopeful while Wyatt still struggles with the same issues. In the end, love prevails and the HEA is wonderfully moving.

Wyatt finally gets his story and what a story it is. He & Vance had something so incredibly special but the sad thing is Wyatt let fear & guilt drive a wedge between them and he ended up spending 12-years alone. Now circumstances have brought them together again, can Vance finally break down those walls of Wyatt’s it will he end up heartbroken and alone again?
Honestly, this series got better and better. This being the last book, it was probably my favorite. And the Epilogue featured the couples from previous books with an HEA so that was a treat.
The narrator has a seriously amazing voice and I became addicted to the audio in this series because of it.
Love, heartbreak and fear make this story one that will stay on your mind hours, days, after finishing the last page! The beauty of love after tragedy, second chances and an adorable tween make this book a keeper.
May December. Wyatt is shattered over the loss of his wife and is confused by his feelings for the younger man, Vance, who offered to help with his newborn. Wyatt lets fear of what others may think influence his decisions. I enjoyed when Vance finally stood up for himself. The ending is hilarious.
Wyatt finally took what he wanted for himself. That was a long wait, but it was his own fault. Vance finally got to have the fairytale come true, and Tempy got to have the family she didn't even know she first had. Nice way to end it all, everyone getting married.
Sad, emotional book with a HEA. This book is great, I was realy emotional involved in this story and my heart was breaking for Vance. Wyatt is just stuborn and I loved the end of the book.
The story between the two characters felt so real... really a good book. The end was a little bit unreal, but nice to see that all the couples had a closure.

Narrator: Nikola Muckajev is a voice that’s new to me. I think his voice was great for the characters. I really enjoyed listening to the voices he provided for each of the characters, even the voice for Temperance, the voices were all distinct and the pitch and tone made for pleasant listening. I’m looking forward to listening to other books he has performed.
Story: Gay-for-you storylines are what I enjoy reading the the most. I find it really fascinating to see how the author shapes the character that emphatically states he’s not gay but desires the another man. This is the case with Wyatt, straight and a father and Vance who is gay. The story starts in the present but gives you glimpses of the shared back story of how the “relationship” of Wyatt and Vance began. There were quite a few tense and awkward moments between them and add in a teen definitely made it strained. There were also the supporting characters which contributed to make the story more interesting. I thought I would be lost in the story since this is the 10th book in the series and I haven’t read any others yet, but the focus was more on Vance and Wyatt so it was ok. I do definitely plan to check out the others. I would definitely recommended!
So, these guys...*shakes head* They had a thing really soon after Wyatt's wife died...and Vance was 19 years-old. Okay, I get it, when you are 19 you are naive, and think this doomed-from-the-beginning situation it's actually kind of romantic: bringing back to life to an older man, who is grieving, and even get a family out of it. But Wyatt should have known better. I'll give him a free pass because, you know, grieving.
But doing the same mistake after 12 years? I actually cheered-up when Vance dumped him. And I find truly telling that it's Temperance who is the actual adult in that family :P
But, in the end, Wyatt does the right thing, and well... everybody is happy :P
Not the best of the series, but entertaining.
Nikola Muckajev keeps doing a great job narrating.
