DeAndre ‘Dre’ Martin is just tired of it all and trying to be more in life. His ex-gf NiQuita doesn't want him to be great or live his best life...I mean well not without her of course. After the breakup she pops in and out of his life to try to ruin things but she wasn’t ready for Robin. Robin may have her own issues but she is there for Dre when he doesn’t even know she is. They been cool even when he was dating Quita but she didn’t see Robin as a threat. Not to forget lil Londyn, Robins daughter. Londyn is a soft spot for Dre since she is so adorable and somehow she conned him into taking a kitten in. Dre goes through the novel with ups and down but eventually he will find his way to happiness...just who will be there with him?

It had potential.
I came across this book during a KU support post and wanted to give it a try. I did like that Dre received a happy ending after everything that transpired. However, the things he went through became repetition. The drama with Quita got old. Details were getting mixed up. For example, at one point he had been at his job 4 years and then later for 9. There were errors (spelling, grammar, consistency) that proofreading and editing would have fixed. Londyn was so cute and sweet. I enjoyed her innocence in it all. Overall the storyline could have been great. I like the idea of a man being the main character and showing that women aren’t the only ones that face adversity. I think it dragged a little and could’ve been better developed to leave out unnecessary happenings to gain a better concise flow.

What a awesome and wonderful book
This book was so heart touching and just all over awesome. Dre kept me laughing and Quita I wanted to beat her tail. I liked Londyn and Robin they was sweet. I loved the poem that Dre said and he was my favorite. This was my first read but not my last. Vibage is as awesome author and can't wait to read more. Wish there was a part 2 to see if Dre had a boy or girl and what happened to Quita ass.

So wanted to like this book
I tried so hard to like this book. There were endless errors, typos, incorrect words used and the story was all over the place. There was potential but it never panned out.
