This book could have made a very good movie! It was so well written and I enjoyed reading it. Every paragraph flowed easy without a lot of description which a lot off authors use to take up space. I look forward to reading another book by Chris Trites. I advise everyone reading this review to read this book you will enjoy it as I did! I would give it 10 stars !
I liked the premise and the basic flow of the story. It seemed slow moving at times in the first half where I was losing interest, I would rather have moved on to the estate much earlier with way more history of the house and family. Good ending, but again, would have liked more depth.
Clever mix of murder and mystery. A ghost story that was not ghoulish. The main characters, aside from the killer, were likeable and you wanted them to find the answers without getting themselves killed too! Loved the Toronto/Nova Scotia setting, which I am familiar with.
I truly enjoyed this story. It was interesting suspenseful and I could not and did not want to put it down. My heart was invested with the characters. It was just spooky enough for the season without the gore!
It’s a good read. I can classify this one of those cozy horror reads. It was entertaining really. This did have some out of the ordinary ghostly interactions. But then again, what was ever ordinary in ghostly interactions.
Really enjoyed this book. Kady and her daughter Charley are faced with the terrible news that her husband, a police officer, has been shot while on duty. But then found out that now they owned Revenwood House, which is huge and supposed to be haunted.
This is so well written that I would call it more a romantic book not because there’s romance between the characters but because you fall in love with the house yourself and you feel the emotions the character feel. The premise was very interesting and the different lines this story has keeps you engaged. Would highly recommend for someone you reads book for more than just the story and wants something somewhat short.
