The game has changed. More secrets are coming out. They don’t think I’m equipped or smart enough to keep up… Too bad I’m still playing the game my bullies thought they already won. I’ll play my part while I study their movements. Strategy is equal parts planning and acting. It might be an impossible task to learn what’s going on, but I will over time. The board in this match is set up against me. Though, the odds have never been in my favor before. My tormentors might think our game has changed in their favor… but I’ll show them I can still win. I am a Queen after all… No one takes down a King better than a woman with her own secrets.
WARNING: Explict condent. Triggers for sexual and physical abuse are in this series.
The Omen series is an amalgamation of paranormal, heaven and hell, mythology and magic. Each book is around 100pgs with book 1 ending before there’s enough setup to fully understand the world and situation. If this wasn’t KU I probably wouldn’t have continued, but that would’ve been my loss. Octavia’s beginning is one of hardship and perseverance. Her’s is a heroine’s quest of action, adventure, and badassery, and I’m impressed with where her story started vs. where it ended. The romance developed as a reverse harem (I seriously hate this term, but don’t know what else to call it) enemies to lovers and the bonds that forged were all encompassing and fabulous. The sex scenes also developed through each book so that by five and six I was downing the ice water and fanning myself saying, oh my! Super hot. Completing the Omen series has left me with a bit of a book hangover as the characters stayed with me. Is the world building iconoclastic and complex? No. Is the plot line flawless? Also no. But do I recommend it? Most definitely.
Okay so second book is still a fast crazy ride and I still don’t really know what’s going on! This book is more about her interactions with a few of the guys , has a few confronting scenes that are traumatic but this book moves at the sped of light so you don’t have much time to dwell on them, but it’s still worthwhile read if you like being kept on your toes!
Okay, I’m even more confused and a little annoyed now that I’ve gotten Lear’s POV. - First of all, I love that we got his POV, what I don’t love is that a week before he met her, he was all boohooey about anyone hurting her and how he feels something for her, yet he went on to psychically and emotionally hurt her, humiliate her, and did nothing to stand up for her. Makes zero sense.
There are quite a bit if typos as well.
The guilt she keeps speaking of is starting to ruin this story for me. These dudes are responsible for her being horribly bullied and assaulted, yet she’s always craving them, feeling bad for them, and wanting to save them. It’s pathetic.
Having her pine over Rin after everything he said to her in the nurses office almost made me sick. Like, he wasn’t lying or exaggerating. Our strong FMC is becoming more of an unlikable bimbo as the book continues.
I enjoyed the ending and I’m hoping that we get the Octavia we got in the first book back in book three.
I can’t get enough if this series. Happy to read an (new) adult story, and not a young adult read. Yes to love scenes.
An engaging and creative storyline with diverse characters, all of whom are flawed in their own, albeit strong, ways. The heroine is not a naive, not downtrodden, and not a virgin and has depth through some challenging life experiences. The perseverance of the heroine given her life circumstances adds to the appeal of this bully romance. With friends on her side as well as the unwilling draw of the heroes, a great book that I could not put it down.
Octavia has had many things happened to her since being at her new school. The seven boys are making her life hell and the school follows along. She's having more and more of her dream like visions and after some Clues her mother gave her she's able to find a journal which seems to be about her ancestor. The journal reveals more if only she had time to read it with the guys watching her 24/7. After she has a vision seeing through the Killer's eyes she discovers a new secret about herself she never knew she may be watching them through their eyes commit their sin but now she have been able to transport herself to the man in question. It seems she's finally got some answers about her dream like visions but now it's time to confront all the seven boys and find out what is going on. This series is super fun to read and it kept me turning the pages way past 2 a.m. in the morning.
I didn’t have many expectations when I started reading this, Ashley Amy is a new author for me. So imma do one review for all the books so far.
The eight transgressor is a series written much like a serial series, so bare in mind each book ends with a cliffhanger. These are each fast paced, dark paranormal RH romance. They’re not particularly long which made it that much easier to finish them so quickly.
There are some super hot and equally disturbing scenes, remember our characters are demons so if you’re not comfortable with taboo topics then this is probably not the series for you. (FF, MM, MFM, MMFMM, MMF) ⚠️Graphic content: physical, emotional & psychological warfare
I really like the storyline, it’s well written and easy to follow. I like the chess connotations and how the battle between Via and the Seven is overshadowed by so much sexual tension. I also like how their relationships develop overtime, the attraction is a given but feelings aren’t instantaneous.
The characters are great, I especially love Via’s best friend Lou, they are like magnets and find each other from the get go. The guys are also likeable even though they are complete douche canoes in the beginning.
I really great story so far! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, was because of the grammatical errors and the ridiculous spacing between each paragraph to try and make the book longer then what it is. If you can get past that, then I suggest continuing reading the series, since the story itself almost makes up for it. MULTIPLE TRIGGERS WARNING, do not read this book if you are not absolutely certain you can handle it. It’s hard to get past the underage sexual assaults, but I admire the author for not shying away from the ugly truth. It makes you feel for and understand Octavia that much more, all while showing us that we don’t have to be defined by our pasts, and that we can overcome tragedy.
This book is a mind blowing addition to this series. Every aspect of this book is PERFECT. Ashley Amy is a first time author for my prior to this series and will be a one click author for me from now on. This series pulls you in, leaves you breathless and makes you feel so many wide range emotions. This is such a unique book and definitely a must read. The heroine, Via is amazing in every way. Her strength is inspiring. Her resiliency is so beautiful even when it broke my heart. Words cant do this series justice. Just read it and see what I cant Express properly
So it hSnt been quite explained why the Seven are so important outside of them being the 7 deadly sins and demons. And I am captivated by this story. Wanting to know how Octavia knows what she knows. How she can do what she does. Now I’m kind of understand Lexi’s role in all this being. Being the thing that ties the guys together and grounds them. What I don’t understand is their is an 8th. And I think it is Via. But what her purpose is, beats me. Now I love Rin and Aster and I kind of hope Beau’s junk falls off.
Lastly their fathers for the most part are huge douche bags. And I can’t wait to see what fate has in store for them.
This was a super quick but super awesome read! Only about 110 pages but I revelled in every. single. word. There were some unbelievably juicy and significant developments throughout this instalment; I’m honestly just giddy reading through this series, it’s keeping me on the edge of my seat and completely consumed. I’m happy to see some of the things I predicted are being revealed, I love being right; like about her seeing through the 7 guys eyes… she drops that bomb at the end and I was screaming with glee.
I’m quite literally running to start the next one!!
That ending was great! Finally. I was kind of getting annoyed by Octavia by how she handled, or rather, didn't handle some of the things, but it looks like things will finally move past that. She really needs to teach all these people some hard lessons and I really can't wait to get to that point. The guys, well, I want to see them fall and fall hard. Grr. I hope the next book comes out soon!
I’m on the edge of my seat and deep in my feelings reading this series! It just pulls you in so deep, and you can’t wait to find out what is going to happen next. Im so glad the author is planning to release a new book in this series every two weeks for a total of 7 books, because I have so many unanswered questions right now! Im really liking the paranormal reverse harem/bully aspect of this book. Can’t wait to read more from this new author!
The second book in the series was better than the first. Suspicions are being confirmed and information is coming out now. The characters are deepening and growing. The editing and writing is also better than the first book.
I noticed this felt pretty short but the plot it moving forward at a good pace. There's a decent amount of steam but the plot is the real highlight.
Loving it and can't wait to seen what happens next.
Book 2 picks up where the first ended. The characters are beginning to grow into their personalities. You start to wonder what's gonna happen next. Octavia will, start to get more answers, while the boys will only have more questions. This features a few multiple points of view. I like that because then you get more insight to that character. In Book 3 I hope there will be more multiple points of view. The suspense is building.
I felt like I have Hetherington this book forever and now I cannot wait for the next book so please hurry!!!!! I love Via!!!! We see the guys emotions and gain knowledge that gives us insight to who they are behind their masks!!!! Via is dominating in this book and growing more!!!! Release the next book please!!!!
Grammatical errors are still present (too many) but the story makes up for it - almost. The storyline is really good - I was right that it had potential. Definitely intriguing.
Update: I DO recommend this series - each book gets better than the last! If you like kinky and filth dirty, then it’s a must read!
This series is to die for! All seven deadly sins in hot as heck bodies. Mystery, steaminess, pain, trauma, all of it is just soooooo good. All the little tidbits of information. The blast to the past to figure out what is going on is just as good as what Via is going through. Love love love!
Look, no matter how you spin a story, it should follow logical steps and make sense. While it did bring a bit of logic to the first book, it fails to be good. It is confusing, but not about the big secret. About the relationships and what moves every character. They are still incredibly one dimensional and plain. Not a good read.
I’m probably going to stop reading this series for a couple of reasons. Reason 1: most of her love interests are absolute assholes and not in that bully romance kinda way but in a they would probably kill her if they got the chance to kinda way. Reason 2: the main character saw someone getting SA’d and she basically said that she liked that the Rapist got pleasure from it 🤢
I like where this story is going. We learn more in this one to know there is a paranormal aspect. The building happening is well thought out and Via is still the same awesome character she was in book one.
This so far is a brilliant series! This author has written it well to keep us wanting more by giving just enough for us to need it. This storyline makes you question what’s going to happen and how... I love that there’s a mystery to it all.
Absolutely amazing series. Cannot wait for the next one. Via is a bloody kick ass alpha heroine. I need to see where the next books revelations take her. I seriously hate waiting though!
These books are short but continue to get better. I can't wait till all seven are released. Octavia is amazing and I'm so glad the story is developing. You learn more with each book and the endings have me on my tip toes trying to figure things out.
