Fresh from the battle with zombie mecha pilot and grand necromancer, Waldo, Scott and his team take a much needed breather back on Hellespont. Of course, rest and relaxation are not allowed for long. Old problems coupled with new possibilities join together to create a fantastic new ability that will reshape the very foundation of how he will play the game going forward. Even as the call to adventure draws him from his comfortable apartment, and life of harem related shenanigans, a bigger threat looms in the distance. Galactic Fist of Legend is one of several series of books that are part of the Project Scott multiverse. One Scott soul, infinite possibilities. Cool guys. Hot videogame babes. Epic boobery, exploding lesbians, and a battle against the dread cosmic entity known as... Global Warming? Come! Witness the spectacle!
I loved the first 3 books....This book not so much. Pages and pages dedicated to annoying dialouge between characters with little actual character development. I just started skimming whole sections of the book. So many ways to advance the book (battledome, new companion ticket, new worlds with cool missions, etc) and we get a boring low level mission and a boring dream sequence that takes a hard right into politics.
Another fantastic book by an amazing author and the latest in a series of books that us almost tailor made for gamers and anime lovers. While a large chunk of this book is devoted to a sort of "slice of life" genre style as well as a Japanese anime style of harem, there's a lot of other interesting elements going on. Scottie Futch gives readers an insight into the psyche of characters from your favorite video games and how they look at the world around them as well as their hopes and dreams. MILD SPOILER ALERT: Reading how a Samus Aran style character has an anime dream with her as the hero and our MC playing the role of a formal wear masked hero was incredibly interesting and just down to earth funny. Why some of our protagonists are mostly silent in their games as well as what their grunts translate into was hilarious as well. All in all if your a gamer and/or an anime lover this is a book and series that is right up your alley.
This series has so much potential. Enough where even after being disappointed by the last couple of books I will continue to read in the hopes it returns to form.
This book suffers from the same issues as the last. Namely, not enough happens. While the last book was just a single fight, this one is a single mission. The majority of the mission takes place in a single day, with the next two weeks breezed over.
While the first two books had plot and direction the last two seem like really fleshed our scenes in a single book. Hopefully the author takes the time to write a full story for book 5.
I liked this a little less than the first 3 mainly over a lot of solo adventuring and a very long high school anime dream sequence. There were so many cool bits I had to give a 5 anyway, splitting up the team made this one feel super short. I want more. And I want it now. When's the next one?
Highly recommend this series and book. Once I started I had a hard time finishing. As soon as I finished the next book. Cannot wait for the next book but kind of glad it js not put so I can sleep so I can
Love this series. The mechanics and hero are really fun. The extra long dream sequence was not enjoyable to me and left little story concerning the main character or even the side adventure.
