If you are looking to learn the basics of agile but not in theory, rather from someone's practical experience, this book is for you. It can also serve you as a guideline or resource as I find the chapters are well labelled so you can pick exactly what you need without having to read through everything. I was curious to go back to the start, to read the topics from the perspective of the of the hands-on experience I have and see if I can improve myself or the processes somewhere having read this again. It proved useful, I got inspired and have a few ideas where to start from. I recommend the book for all the roles in a scrum team that feel they could benefit from it. It is not written from the perspective of any of the them, and as far as I can see tell, it is also not biased to any of them. I find this to be quite a useful read.

AMAZING book. It’s weird to say, but I was unable to put it down. I’m part of a training/learning development team that is looking to more fully integrate Agile and I browsed through several books before landing on this one. While long, it is fairly comprehensive - and more importantly, easy to read. Dave’s style is casual, yet detailed, making getting through the nearly 500 pages seem like a breeze. A few of the technical details are starting to age as newer technical practices emerge - but that’s to be expected. The core parts of this book are excellent. I would easily recommend this book as the key starting place for anyone that says they want to understand everything they can about Agile as they get started (or need solid refreshers). A++++++ work!

Highly recommend! I was given this book by a colleague and found it very insightful, filled with practical tips for our team. Our project manager appreciated the many tips contained and this is a comprehensive guide we’ll refer to regularly. It’s highly readable and applicable and valuable.

Did not really learn much new information, but for someone that is looking for a great one stop shop for tactical information on using SCRUM for software products it is a great resource.
