Great set

I really enjoyed this boxed set and actually read it all the way through. The stories were woven with each other nicely and I liked hearing the characters ‘before’ stories.

One of the most intense and emotion driven zombie apocalypse stories out there

This collection of different aspects of the same series. Points of you from different characters within the series is an emotionally driven and action-packed zombie apocalypse thrill ride. With a great cast of diverse characters men women different ethnicities all age groups from young children two adults to seniors find out how each and everyone fight and survive through the apocalypse. Every character will draw you and get you emotionally attached and involved have you rooting for them or in some cases against them but you will never be disappointed.
As in most apocalyptic world find out that some of the worst dangers out there are some of the humans left among us. See which characters have the strength to power through and survive and help others survive. Not everyone will make it some of your favorite characters will not make it some of them will but you will be totally entertained and enthralled throughout the entire story. A fantastic writer with an imaginative mind who puts her heart and soul into every story and character and draws you in so you can feel the same. Read along and find out how the world ends. You will not be disappointed

Although these stories were about a zombie apocalypse, they were done in such a way that the characters led the action, plot, thoughts and feelings - loved that. It was set in South Africa and the descriptions gave a great sense of place.

This set was divided into Dangerous Days, some shorter character stories (Death's Children), Dangerous Nights and two bonus novellas - all relevant to the story as a whole. There were a vast number of characters, each believable, each worth following. There were heroes and villains and, of course, the zombies. How the virus came into being is not explained but we can guess it to be because of politicians and scientists.

Not everyone had a happy ending, and some deaths were surprising, while others were welcomed.

The thing I liked best about all the stories was the great writing style and how each of the characters were important; each having a role. And I liked how the story followed each one from their point of view, albeit third-person.

The bonus novellas were an interesting addition - no spoilers from me.

Overall, I loved this series and how I really cared about what would happen to the characters.

Highly recommended.

Anyone that likes books about zombies and the apocalypse would just love this boxset. It comprises of the Dangerous Days series (Last Another Day, Survive Another Day, Live Another Day, Seize Another Day), Deaths Children Collection and Dangerous Nights series (Dead of Night, Dark of Night, Edge of Night and Reach). It is a mega huge boxset and delivers on everything you could possibly want - horror, non-stop action, humour, and romance. It is a tear-jerker and a major page turner, I struggled to put it down - I got so caught up in the characters and their stories. I don't know how Baileigh Higgins is going to top this but I can't wait to find out. If I could give more than five stars I would; I urge you to go ahead and buy this mega boxset, it is worth every penny!

This was the best mega box set I have ever read. This mega box set has everything you could want all in one box set and this is not just a simple box set it is a MEGA box set. Baileigh Higgins is the master of the Apocalypse genre and this set proves it. You will feel like you are involved in the action because Baileigh's writing is superb. This set will take you through all the up and downs of surviving the zombies and the rogue gangs. There is romance and plenty of action. You simply can not buy a better set of books than this one. I can not recommend this set enough and wish I could give it 10 stars. With money being tight right now it makes this set a real bargain.
Do yourself a favor and enjoy many hours or super reading.

This is the ultimate Baileigh Higgins' box set!
The Dangerous Days series intertwines with the Death's Children series in the end and Dangerous Nights Series is a continuation with some of the characters.
Reach finally shows us what has become of little Lucy 30 years after.

All are very good Z-Series with strong female character(s) and their sidekicks. The books develop nicely and it never gets boring. Surviving the Zombies and other humans who are just as bad as the undead.
I have read the books individually but would have loved the box set, because once you start you don't want to stop.

New Author for me.

We have most zombie books either set in America, with no bars hold with the depiction of violence.
We have zombie books from the UK that are a lot more realistic that the American books. Now we have a new queen on the block from South Africa, and a woman to boot.

Characters we’re great, Story was believable as much as any zombie book can be, I know folks we sometimes think it’s real but it’s not, sometimes the biggest monsters are the ones who are supposed to be on our side. sometimes the unbitten are the worst evil.

So Baileigh I really enjoyed the whole 1850 pages, took me about a week as I couldn’t put it down.

This boxed set is full of character driven, emotionally charged stories of people surviving the apocalypse, meeting up and in some cases rescuing total strangers and becoming family as they try to build safe places to live. Some people take advantage of there being no law and become totally despicable, evil people causing additional problems beside the zombies. I love how Higgins gives us back stories of each of the characters as they all connect as the stories continue. There are so many hard losses in this set as you grow to love and care for the characters along the way. I highly recommend this boxed set if you love the zombie genre.

Characters you would love to call friend

There is (gory) action right from the beginning. The characters are perfectly presented and it is soon evident that they are very headstrong and dependable. Reading this series makes me aware of all this we take as normal can be over very quickly. Hope it will never come to something like that.
Brilliantly written series with characters so strong you would love to call them friends. A read for everyone who is ( not) afraid of an uncertain future.

Very Good!

I loved this series and was very sad when i got to the last page of the last book. I am hoping that Higgins has plans to continue the series so we can find out what happens to Cat and Nadia.. Do they marry? Have Children? Can Nadia even have children? What about the next generation? Are there more safe places with survivors in other places? Do they all become allies and start a trade system?

An EPIC series you won't regret buying!

1800+ pages in the series and worth every hour of lost sleep. The author immerses you in a terrifying reality. Danger from the undead and a bleak future await the characters. Will they find a way to survive their new terrifying reality. Don't buy just the first book. Trust me you will want the entire series and won't want to waste time having to stop to make the purchase of the second book.

I loved this box set filled with amazing characters, and lots of action. Baileigh Higgins has done it again producing a high octane set telling the stories of numerous people and weaving them all together in their efforts to survive the apocalypse that resulted from a virus. A must read for fans of the genre.

One he'll of a fine series!

Bail with Higgins has a way if developing characters and writing terrific prose. I love the descriptions of the world around the characters. It makes you feel the heat and dares you to either wipe the sweat from your brow or the cold shivers from the cold. I highly recommend that you read this mega box set!

Character driven thrills

I enjoyed this mega box set but book one and book four shook me to my core. How could you do that to me Baileigh. 😱😂. You know what I mean. The world building was immersive and the characters really drew me in. Full of thrills and heartbreak. I would highly recommend this boxset.

A Lot of Zombies

I’m not really a fan of zombies. The rest of story was pretty good. It seemed like everyone was going to die. A few of the characters survived. I would recommend this boxed set to anyone that likes zombie books. Even if you just like apocalyptic stories it is worth the read. I gave it this rating because of the gross zombie details.

Well worth the read!

Excellent series, with well described characters - good and bad, - situations and environments. Baileigh is not scared to 'write out' long term main characters, which came as rather a sad shock! Definitely worth reading, and I will probably come back to it in the future.

Fun read

Not my normal read but a lot of fun. A whirlwind of characters and things happening to them. It's not boring! You want to known what's going to happen next. Just fun. I don't normally do zombies but this was a nice break and I like the way that Baileigh writes. This is the second book that I've read and I might go on to a third.

Survive the End

Few have survived as the world changes and all try to live as best they can now, with no electricity, no phones, no water. Life is hard adversary to avoid the zombies and savage for food and drink in a never-ending cycle.

Higgins's great zombie books all in one place. These stories are all told from various viewpoints but easily followed. All are fast reads and wonderfully written. Great tales of how children are more resilient and often more courageous than we give them credit for.

Starts great goes down hill

The first 3/4 books are really excellent then it's a ridiculous teenage girl zombie drama and why on earth she killed off Logan the best character I'll never know??

3.5 stars.
Some parts were good, others not so great and often the writing was repetitive and riddled with errors.
The storyline was strong, the dialogue (characters often talking to themselves) needs much work.

If you're up for some zombie-end-of-the-world fun, Children of the Apocalypse is the series for you. I read the entire 1800 pages of novels and novellas and enjoyed the fast-paced action, and grew to care about the main characters, many of whom feature in most of the books. Highly recommended.

This boxed set was truly great! I enjoyed getting to know the characters, their back stories and how their Zombie apocalypse started. I laughed and cried along with them. The only thing I don't like is now their story has ended!

Such a shame

Some of the stories were bone gripping, others not so much and I found myself rushing past pages to get to the good bits, I found the change in stories rather confusing too
