Shuichi Shigeno (Japanese author profile: しげの秀一) is a manga artist, best known for the manga series Initial D. Shigeno has also created Bari Bari Densetsu, Dopkan, and Tunnel Nuketara Sky Blue ("First Love in Summer") all prior to the manga that would make him famous in 1995. In 1985, he received the Kodansha Manga Award in shōnen for Bari Bari Densetsu.
There it is. New engine, new skills, a rematch and Tak at the crossroads on whether or not to join Ry's all star team. I hope Tak stays in his eight six. Feels pointless if he moves to a racing car.

This feels like the beginning all over again! The end of an epic saga, a new machine, new settings, new romance, very cool volume! Also I see this is after the manga is adapted and there is a video game so Shigeno was getting some royalties to jumpstart the story! Excited to see where the legend of Akina goes next!
Seems like it’s tying up whatever loose ends the Natalie romance had at the end, gonna focus on the more serious racing aspect which is a bummer cause it’s been the low point of the series to me so far. Hopefully it gets more intense and better as we move onto a super team. The twist with the man she was seeing was crazyyyy.
