This unlikely triad--Hugo, Lancelot and Sylvia--was a match made in heaven! I loved the balance of strength, smarts, savviness, sexiness, and the secrets. Whoa, the secrets!

I couldn't flip the pages of Honor's Revenge fast enough to see what happened next--see if Hugo, Silvia and Lancelot would find a way to make things work between them and find out the truth of the events that brought them together. I cannot wait for more in this series! ~ Missy, 5 stars

Mari and Lila have done it again. They wrote an action packed, truly interesting story in Honor's Revenge. Three unlikely people thrown together in search of the person looking to take down the Master's Admiralty. What a maze this ongoing story is becoming. And, I'm loving every minute of it.

Hugo and Lancelot (Charlie) are an unlikely duo sent to America to try to find leads to who is behind the attacks on it's members. They both have secrets that neither one of them want to reveal. But, Hugo has no choice when their investigation takes them to the one woman he was hoping not to bring into this mess. How does he explain to her what he's really doing in Charleston? Will she accept the explanation, understand the ramifications of knowing, help them catch Alicia? The decision is taken out of her hands when she is kidnapped and Lancelot gives up everything to save her from the mad-woman. Now, they all have to deal with the fallout from both the Master's Admiralty and the Trinity Masters. Can things get more complicated or dangerous for any of them.

I love how these two authors put their heads together and come up with an intriguing story time and time again. No two stories are alike. But each of them is filled with interesting and provocative storylines. I am always sitting on the edge of my seat reading one of them and am completely enthralled with the way the story just flows. You would think that you could tell where one author left off and the other picked up, but you cannot with this series. The love scenes are intricate and the plot is captivating. I always look forward to the next book in the series and am definitely waiting for Bravery's Sin with the twist that was thrown in right at the end of Honor's Revenge.

Once again Mari Carr and Lila Dubois have us on a rollercoaster ride of intrigue, suspense and mystery with romance thrown in too. As the book is not out yet, I don't want to give anything away. Once again Vice Admiral Eric Ericsson enlists the aid of members of the Master's Admiralty to try and find out who is killing its members. In order to gather information on and capture the wife of sniper the man who killed many people, Lancelot Knight and Hugo Marchand head to America. Here they butt heads with the Trinity Masters as they meet Sylvia Hayden, a poet and visual artist and former student of Alice Rutherford, the sniper's wife. As the three try to find Alice and try to figure out who is pulling the strings in the assassinations/murders, we learn a little bit more of the why. We also find out a little more about Eric's past. There are many fantastic characters in this series but I think Eric is one of my new favorites. Once again, just when you think you have figured out the killer, they throw you a curve ball. I am totally addicted to this series and can't wait for the next book.

I know that’s not a proper review title but holy #### that was a freaking awesome book. Why do I have to wait for more. You get some serious high-stakes espionage and drama. The ending..just wow. How can I kinda of be on the edge of my seat and then giggle at the same time. Mari and Lila never ever fail to deliver. I loved Sylvia's brothers...so funny. And Lancelot and Hugo mmm mmm mmmm. Loved that first kiss.

Ms Carr and Ms Dubois do an excellent job with this story, which covers its own plot, and also advances the overarching story arc for the Masters' Admiralty series as a whole.

This series keeps getting better and better and Hugo, Sylvia and Lancelot's tale certainly had me in its grip from start to finish and once again eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

Another great emotional rollercoaster of a read, Mari and Lila have once again managed to engage us with the highs and lows as only they can. The twists and turns have us at the edge of our seats and doubting once again what we know and what we hope to be true. Sylvia is a beautiful soul who springs from the pages and wraps wholeheartedly around our hearts. Hugo and Lancelot are very much different sides of the coin but in as much as they are different, they are strikingly similar in their hearts and passions and are men who you can't help but fall deeply in love with. Mari and Lila have again proven that they can write amazingly well together and this triad again stole my heart.

It's always hard to review these books as there is soooo much going on, you don't want to give much away but what I can say is this. Honor's Revenge is a fantastic tale whether you are new to the series or a fan like I am. The complexities of the tale keeps you on your toes and at the edge of your seat as you try to see where Mari and Lila are heading - but don't be fooled for one second that you can guess the future as Mari and Lila have a knack of doing the unexpected and throwing curveballs you simply never saw coming. This one for me had me falling in love, fearful of what was/is to come and laugh out loud at times while I fell for more characters in this series.

I love that we are engaged in a much larger scheme with 'the mastermind' throughout each and every book and love that this continues to develop and grow as we learn more. But, I also love that every book has a story within this that is complete so you can settle back and enjoy with no fear you will have to wait on a cliff-hanger. I enjoy the weaving of each triad and love that we continue to see them all as we gather steam in the ' mastermind' arc.

Another five plus read for me and now I just have to sit and wait for the next in the series.......dayum!

There is no other way to say this.....you have to read this book!!!
I recommend you start with the first book in the series for a better understanding of the story line. If you like reading about menagerie OMG this book has it! Every book gets better and better, you will not be able to put it down. The only downfall is waiting for the next installment 😣.
Hugo, Sylvia and OMG Lancelot (yummmmy) have a great story to tell. So much emotions and twists in this book, it kept me on the edge of my lazy boy chair. I enjoyed reading about Sylvia's brothers and how I laughed out loud with their wicked personalities. Hope to read about them in the future. I think this book is one of my favorite so far, having members of the trinity masters involved in this book was funny, edgy and emotional.
Lila and Mari writing together are by far the best in romance, action, drama, laughter, action and cliffhangers. SOOO.... Stop reading my review and get this book!!.... ENJOY

This is the fourth book in the Masters’ Admiralty Series, and it focuses on Lancelot, Sylvia, and Hugo.

I love the Trinity Masters Series and the Masters’ Admiralty Series so much, and Lila and Mari have captivated me again - I was on the edge of my seat! I think the books get better and better as they go on! The twists and turns in this book fed my need for a good mystery. It was thrilling to visit with some old friends, as well.

The storyline was fascinating and complex and mysterious. The scenes between Lancelot, Sylvia, and Hugo were hot and funny and emotional.

This book has everything: love, romance, angst, laughter, pain, tears, unknown villains, and danger on the way to a HFN. I say For Now, because the mysteries keep coming with this series, and I love it!

(I would recommend not reading this story as a stand-alone. There is too much backstory. It’s definitely worth the time to read all the books in both the TM and MA series, though.)

Lila and Mari are “masters” of romance, suspense, action, and the cliffhanger!!

I cannot wait for Bravery’s Sin!!

OMG! What can I even say about this book without giving away anything? Hardly anything and boy do I want to say a lot. I love these series, the secret societies on both sides of the Atlantic. The intrigue, back-stabbing, treachery and subterfuge is fantastic along with the depth of the characters, the action, the love, lust and passion. The only problem seems to be that I wait (a bit impatiently) for each new book only to absolutely inhale it almost as soon as I get it. Then I have to wait that much longer for the next one. Geez!

I love Hugo, Lancelot and Sylvia and their instant chemistry. They bring out the best in each other and step up to the plate time and time again for each other and for the good guys. I'm not sure why it surprises me when Mari Carr and Lila Dubois surprise me in these books but they still do. Read this book! I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and love absolutely every moment of it.

This Inventive and Scintillating series Continues!!

Age old battle between England and America – this time represented by the Trinity Masters and the Master’s Admiralty. When our intrepid duo comes to America on a mission which the American contingent would not approve, they seek out Sylvia, a former student who may have contact with their target.

Sparks fly, secret are unveiled, and bullets find their mark. The danger to the society escalates and we are treated to a roller coaster ride of action and emotions. Brilliant read expertly executed.

I had read book 3, so I decided on read 1 & 2 before reading 4, so I sat down and read all 4 books over the last 3 days. Now I can't wait for 5. So now I have to aquire the 10 books in the Trinity Masters series to feed my addiction to Master's Admiralty.
This book as is the series grabs hold and pulls you in to their world, one I would love to get to live in.
The characters are all wonderful, they are people who believe in what they stand for enough to commit to following the the society eve into marriage and or death. They strive to make the world a better place, to further the arts and scenes to keep and preserve as well as develop.
I can't say enough, this is a must read for love, and commitment as well as adventure.
I now own all 4 in the series and waiting for the rest. Thank you Mari Carr and Lila Dubois for writing these.

Book four in the Masters’ Admiralty but can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Has secondary characters from previous books in the series, but easy to follow along and back story and history is given. It is full length with a lot of characters working to solve a mystery. Each book is about a different triad relationship. This triad did not know each other previously, but they spend a lot of time together and we see feelings and a relationship develop. This story takes its time with details and backgrounds on the characters, we really get to know, love and care about them. This is romantic suspense! This is a well woven story that keeps your interest and I couldn't put it down until I had finished it. The triad’s story is complete and ends in a HEA, but the main theme of the series is far from over and this book leaves you wanting to start reading the next one immediately!!

Ya'll better read this story. Nothing says sexy like an accent. Whether it's southern, British or French. But to have all three in this suspenseful and dramatic story about assassins, scholars and poets is just pure pleasure. Mysteries abound as Lancelot and Hugo race against the clock to find out just who is behind the assassination attempts and the cout d'etat of the Master's Admiralty. Is there a traitor? Is there an insider? Is it the secret organization making a come back? Book 4 of this series.

Lila Dubois and Mari Carr have done it again with Honor’s Revenge, the next book in the Masters Admiralty series. This book is just as intriguing, mysterious, and full of suspense, if not more than the previous books, plus I feel that we get a few more questions answered as Hugo, Lancelot, and Sylvia come together during their investigation. There are just as many twists and turns and “oh my” moments in this book that will keep you on the edge of your seat turning your pages until you’ve reached the end. Now I am not so patiently waiting for the next book.

Yep, that’s definitely a keeper.
I dove right into this book and didn’t look back. The story is packed full of angsty goodness that will keep you engaged until the very end. You might even say a few choice worlds because the story does, in fact, end.
Sigh, I absolutely recommend this book/series to everyone that like a good, sexy mystery.

This is great. There is no way to tell how great this story is without spoilers! But I'm going to try :)

Once upon a time, a Frenchman and an Englishman go to America in search of a woman. What happens during this search is entertaining and violent. Competition and cooperation are key in this adventure.

Short and sweet, spoilerless and a definite must read.

Sylvia is such a sweet southern blast...

I absolutely love Sylvia and her brothers. But combine her with a Liverpool tough guy and a French professor and the chemistry is explosive. These characters are layered, as the story progresses we learn new subtitles of each of them. They are witty, fun loving, smart, and Lancelot is uber dangerous. This book however, is not just a sexy romance. This suspenseful mystery has been building over the last three books and any small clue fuels my personal speculation. I could not stop reading or metaphorically biting my nails till the very end.

These books are intriguing. I love how even though they can be read as stand alones they are connected. As each story progresses, parts become clearer, but new twists are always introduced. In today’s world, I would think people who have the same goals would get along. While each side is “friendly” much discord remains making alliances difficult. I can’t wait for the next installment to see where the story is going.

I intend to slowly read this book. I love the series and believe each book has got better. The characters have a greater depth to them, and despite them not always getting it right, their partnership triumphs. A wonderful love story, in the "normal" ménage lifestyle.
Therefore no hope, read through the night.
Hurry up for Eric's story.

Another AWESOME book in the Masters' Admiralty series...you get it all, mystery, murder, mayhem, who are the good guys and who are the bad. Sexiness between the trio, along with finding the love of their lives when none of them were looking. Mari Carr and Lila Dubois always find that magical way of keeping their readers guessing the who, the how and the why. Loved it!!

It’s a game of chess.

Ok, the triad is Sylvia, Lancelot and Hugo.
But the major players are Eric Ericcson and the traitor in the Spartan Guard.

Can’t give too much away, but there’s more trouble in store for the Masters’ Admiralty.

Recommend.

3.5 stars rounded up

I wasn't sure what to expect when we crossed the pond for this book but I really liked this unexpected trio! Hugo, Lancelot and Sylvia were really likeable characters that had sizzling sexual chemistry that heated up my Kindle in a big way! Hugo and Sylvia are huge scholarly nerds that have a brief history from when Hugo did a lecture at her university several years ago. There was a physical attraction then but theirs was more of a stimulating intellectual connection which has now morphed into something much more. Lancelot was definitely the "odd man out" in the trio as he's more of a thuggish assassin/knight than an intellectual but he brought a nice balance to their group. They worked really well together!

We're also introduced to the Hayden triplets in this story. I believe two of them are part of the Trinity Masters' series but another one of the brothers is part of this series. I liked the quirkiness each of them brings to the story and they stood out as a tight-knit family team but also individually. Looking forward to getting at least one more story from one of them!

The mystery plot focuses on tying up a loose end from the previous book: Alicia Rutherford. The chase wasn't as high-stakes and it was a little anticlimactic (if I'm honest) but the action does pick up considerably towards the end with kidnappings, being thrown overboard, a shoot out and chase scene, and airport car bombings. There's considerably less blood and gore in this book compared to the others, which was honestly a welcome reprieve, and while we do get some answers to long-held questions, we also end up having more questions about who's behind all this anarchy and killing.

Hopefully, we'll be finding out the answers soon cos I'm just about ready to give up on ever learning the truth behind this mystery 😂 I still can't get over the fact that these are some of the "smartest, most privileged and powerful people, including scholars and assassins" but they are outsmarted and outmanoeuvred at every turn throughout this whole series.

I was honored to receive an ARC copy of Honor's Revenge and all I can say is this is a must read.

This series is incredible and Honor's Revenge continues w/ the story of the Master's Admiralty and their battle against the mastermind. A person/persons bent on their destruction.

Hugo, one of the "librarians" gets his trinity, but not without a lot of danger, intrigue, action, and really great lines from Eric, the head of the Master's Admiralty. You also get to revisit some of our favorite characters from the Trinity Masters.

Warning: Do not start at night if you have to work tomorrow. You won't want to put it down.

I just pray that this series will never end!!! Hugo, Sylvia and Lancelot had me from the start and once again, I've ridden the Mari Carr/Lila DuBois roller coaster of written words! Without spoilers (which I usually don't mind reading, but others don't) suffice it to say, you will not be disappointed!!! This series, along with the trinity Masters series will pull you in and never let you go. Another fantastic read!!! thank you, ladies and PLEASE keep 'em coming!!!! <3
