The central theme of Rethinking Strategy is scenario planning. It is an intellectual demonstration of strategic foresight represented by anticipatory planning and enabled by the scenario planning method. Studying this book, corporate leaders and managers may find a reliable understanding of the concept of strategy. By applying the method and tools proposed by the author, they will be able to shape a corporate intelligence that differentiates them from rivals and provides them with a competitive advantage in the alternative futures.

A very accessible book on strategic foresight for all those still needing convincing that buying a strategy or trend reports is good enough. This book follows by explaining step for step how to come up with a usable and differentiating alternative. A must read for all those serious.
