I got Browne's Electrochemistry as a stepping stone, to more easily slide into the classics like Bard and Faulkner's "Electrochemical methods".
For this purpose, I found the primer to be ideally suited. It covers a lot of ground in ~100 pages and gives a mechanistic picture of electrochemistry in an accessible manner. I particularly like how certain questions are anticipated, such as "the order of half reactions" and "polarization". The "further reading" section is very instructive for deepening these discussions with more specialized texts.
That being said, the first edition could use another round of revision to get rid of the typo's in equations, chemical formulas and phrases, which already pop up in the preface of the book and can occasionally be very confusing.

This book did such a good job of teaching me electrochemistry that I was then able to start noticing small mistakes. This book explained the fundamentals of charges and electrodes really well. The chapters were ordered in a logical way to build up understanding. However, there were lots of small mathematical errors and typos. The impedance section also explains the physical effects well but the mathematics of imaginary numbers may need some re-evaluation of the intermediate calculation steps.
