Lucy always dreamed of competing in a horse show— but she’d never thought it’d become reality. When a big competition comes to Three Rivers, the whole town’s talking about who will win the title. Lucy is happy to stay on the sidelines to watch— until a tragedy causes her to step up and participate with her horse, Chance.

With frenemy Taylor as her coach and a bitter new rival to challenge, Lucy isn’t sure she can handle the pressure. Plus her relationship with Casey is growing, and she needs to know where she stands. Lucy doesn’t want to be “just friends” with the cute cowboy.

Can Lucy get over her stage fright and make all her dreams come true— in the arena and with Casey?

This is a lovely book, full of interesting characters and I flew through it. It's an easy read, full of good horsey stuff (the author is knowledgeable about horses), mixed with challenges and sweet romance. There are valuable lessons within; about confidence, friendship and horsemanship/riding. Also about being true to your dreams. I recommend!

I re-read the previous two books in the series as it had been a few years since I had read them. I really enjoyed the horse aspects of this book and the correctness of terms and use. I also really liked the personal growth that both Lucy and Taylor showed. Lucy by confronting her fears with the help of her friends and Taylor admitting to her fears in order to help Lucy gain perspective on her own fear.
Taylor has really turned out to be an interesting character and as much as I adore Lucy and Chase, I would love to read more about Taylor and what she does next.

A heartwarming addition to a lovely equestrian series. I thoroughly enjoyed the Red Rocks series by Brittney Joy. This author knows her horses! I was particularly drawn to the lesson Lucy learns from Taylor when trying to tackle her horse show nerves — "It doesn't matter what anyone else does or says. When you're in the arena, you should only be thinking about yourself and your horse." Highly recommend!

A Truly Charming Story
This charming story was such fun to read it had beautiful characters with heartfelt emotions displayed I will agree it was a Hallmark movie type of book, but I adore Hallmark movies. Seeing the growth of not just Lucy but Taylor gave the story a realistic touch. I let my granddaughter read this one and she loved it. It is short and quick a great lunch break book. I hope you check it out.

Book three of the Red Rock Ranch series and a new Author to me. A well written story that held my interest throughout. This is more of Lucy's story. I want to read the first two books in this series, to see how this series started. Even though I did not read the first two books I could still follow this story. I enjoyed reading. This book is perfect when you want a short, easy read. It's light on the plot and isn’t too taxing. I was quite interested in the fact that it was set in America because I've only read British horse stories before. I've never heard of a horse jogging or loping before but maybe American horses do; I don’t know! 😁

When the annual rodeo comes to the town of Three Rivers, Taylor is more than ready to sign up. But when tragedy strikes it falls to Lucy and Chance to take the spotlight. But Lucy has never competed in a show, no matter how much she's always dreamed of it. With Taylor coaching, a surprise in Chance's history, and her budding relationship with Casey to steady her, all she has to do is overcome her stage fright. Should be easy, right?

I loved this final installment of the series. The relationship between Casey and Lucy is finally brought to the foreground and the book is wittier than ever. I loved seeing some growth in Lucy and the message of facing your fears to live your dreams. And I really enjoyed the additional tidbit of Taylor's character development. I love getting to see a lot of the Western style of riding presented through the series because a lot of horse books are centered around English style, whether in horse shows or races.
