Thy Word: A Devotional Commentary on Psalm 119

Psalm 119 consists of 22 stanzas, or paragraphs, of eight verses each. Within this Psalm are the most incredible insights into the Word of God. These stanzas correspond to the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. In this Psalm, there are nine different Hebrew words used for the Holy Scripture, each with a different meaning.Many years ago I was led by the Spirit to pray through Psalm 119 in its entirety every evening. I did this for approximately one year. As a result, I experienced much revelation of God’s Word in answer to those prayers. While time constraints may limit one from praying through all 176 verses each day, the Psalm is perfectly laid out to pray one stanza (8 verses) each day over a 22-day period.
