About the author

P.A. Amancio was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico. After graduating from high school, he joined the Marine Corps and served with the 3rd Recon Battalion in Vietnam. After being discharged, he began his law enforcement career as a police officer on two New Mexico departments, Clovis PD and Roswell PD. In 1972 he joining the San Diego Police Department where he stayed until his retirement in 2007. In 2009 he went to Iraq as a police adviser with the Marines Corps for one deployment. His experience as a detective and being in the Marine Corps contributes to his writings.

What a delightful book for young adults and the young at heart.

What a delightful book for young adults and the young at heart. This would make a great book to read aloud as a family. Lots of charming characters and of course, the enchanting location.
