Whew! I loved the second installment in the My Girl series! If you haven’t read My Pin-Up Girl go check it out! It’s a great read too.

Evie is thirsty, but most definitely not for water. It’s been to long since she has seen any action and thinking about the last time she did usually ends in frustration. When she finds herself walking into a bar that was not open for business yet, she finds herself face to face with the man who showed her how great something could be and then walked away like nothing had happened. Adding insult to injury he walks her back outside the bar, and kisses her like he didn’t walk away, and no time had passed. He makes it clear he doesn’t do relationships, and with her past relationship involving more abuse than passion, she doesn’t want a relationship either. But soon the feelings catch up with her, and she has to let go of the one thing that she loves most.

Jake was sitting in a bar he invested in when he saw her. Always with a straight face and never giving himself away he walks her out and kisses her like there’s never been a moment without her. Then he proposes a “friends with benefits” type deal and finds Evie coming back to his apartment with him. His heart was completely shattered by his ex. Irreparable damage done, or so he thought. With Evie he found something he never expected and it scared him. And when she got too caught up he pushed her away again.

My Hook-Up girl is a second chance romance of sorts. What starts out as an intense fling with no labels, begins to take on more and more depth as the story progresses. Evie goes through a lot in a short amount of time, and Jake is always there to save her when it counts.

I would have loved to have read Jake’s point of view mixed in as well, but nonetheless the book was still a good read with only Evie’s POV.

I loved reading this story and can’t wait to see whose story is next.

Great Book!

This is the second book in the My Girl series and it’s the first one I’ve read.
I loved it! I’m going to read My Pin-Up Girl next!
This story draws you in and keeps you reading until the end!
Evie and Jake start a friends with benefits relationship. It goes good with a while until Evie’s feelings grew for Jake.
There are some twists and turns, mystery and suspense that keep you reading!
I enjoyed My Hook-Up Girl and look forward to the next book in the My Girl series!

This is the second one in this series. I loved this one even more then i loved the first one. Nicky has a way of writing books that drags you in and has you holding on for more. I loved Evie. Her character was amazing. I loved the first line right off the bat, "Her Vagina is Sad". Seriously what girl hasnt said that? Evie and Jake meet at a wedding reception had a very quick fling so to speak and havent seen each other sense. That quickly changes. Hold on that is where this gets extremely interesting. I loved the chemistry between these two. Off the charts hot and steamy. Nicky has written another amazing book. I cant wait until the next one comes out. She has me hooked.

This was a cute story, overall it had everything a books needs, beginning, middle & a end. There were good details, the storyline was believable and I could see myself right there with the characters.

I will say however this book is far too short (& honestly $2.99 for a ebook under 200 pages I would not buy). It kind of felt rushed. Things happened one right after another that I could hardly believe I was at the end already.

Jake was a typical brooding male who was soured by a former lover. I got his hesitation & guarding his heart.

Evie sounded cute & like someone I could see myself hanging around.

Their non-relationship was a typical one I've read before (fwb to lovers). However I will say Evies character forgave Jake WAY TOO FAST! I don't care if a guy realizes he was an a$$ I wouldn't forgive him nearly as fast as Evie NOR hop into bed with him immediately after said apology.... He would have some MAJOR groveling to do!!!

I liked the supporting characters as well, they all were interesting in their own right. But then again if their stories are going to be as quick/short I will pass on them.

I really felt that this story would have benefited from hearing Jake's pov..... which we got none of in this book.

**Jake and Evie**

Jake has had his heart stomped on and served to him but the one person he thought loved him, He has serious trust issues so when his needs can not be ignored any more he just finds someone for the night. That is his number one rule. When he meets Evie he feels it but ignores it as best he can until she walks into a club he is consulting on. He knows it is a horrible idea to get involved with her in anyway. Their lives are linked but Evie's best friend and Jakes half brother. So if things go south it will be a grave future for them. There is just something about her that he can no longer keep away from her though. He finds himself falling in love with her but he still can not tell her why he can not admit his thoughts to her. Evie normally is a 1 and done kind of girl but with Jake she finds herself wanting it all but she senses that Jake is still not ready for that. When her life starts to take a turn for the worst via her stalker. Jake realizes quickly that his idiot self needs to let Evie in completely. So they start what they both things is the beginning to a walk down the aisle. Will they both figure out what is important to them before its too late?

Well then! Phew, what a passionate, fast-moving emotional rollercoaster with a whole lot of let's get it on kinkery that turned out to be!
This time around the fun and madness revolves around Jake and Evie, the heart string pulling tug of war these two will put each other through getting past their personal barriers makes for one helluva bumpy, all-encompassing domineering, ride!
One, I couldn't put down! Loved the incorporation of characters from the first book, ( Lee and Hunter ) and the addition of the eccentric Maggie!
Nicky Fox is creating some whirlwind sexy tales, which I am becoming invested in, looking forward to the next book My Curvy Girl- hopefully, it is soon- no pressure!

This book was just as good as book 1.
Jake and Evie are sexy, Fun, Hot and just playful.

This story is about finding trust again, learning to love again and finding the one even when you don't expect to.

Lots of hot sex scenes that will make you melt as you read them.

Every chapter drew you in deeper and had you at the end of your seat wanting more. My Hookup Girl is an adorable, hot, charming, epic love story that will have you wanting more and keep up smiling.

Nicky has become one of my favorite authors. She's very creative in her writing and you get into the books she's writing. The characters are amazing and you fall in love with them. Evie is recovering from an abusive ex, and Jake from an ex that left him. The last thing these two want to become involved in; is a relationship. They just want to hook up every so often, but even the best of plans do not always turn out. This is a quick, easy, and short read, and I was intrigued from the beginning.

I was really looking forward to this second book in the My Girl Series and I wasn't disappointed!
This book gripped me from the start and I loved Jake and Evie's story.
Both of them have had difficult pasts and their journey was both heartbreaking and heartwarming.
I love the friendship between the girls and those boys are yummy!
I can't wait for the next book in this series! ❤️

DNF. As a book in the My Girl series, and having read the first book, I was to believe that it was dual POV. A novel named My Hookup Girl was just in the h POV. Disappointing, and I won't read Ms Fox again.

this was a really good story with pasts that people had to overcome and a romance to be had. I wish there was more with the brothers and their friendship in this story, but it was a really good quick read. I can't wait for the next one to come out. My Hookup Girl is the second installment in this series but can be read as a standalone. Jake and Evie are both flawed from past relationships but satisfy each other's needs with no strings. I wasn't a big fan of Jake's attitude in the beginning and I wished Evie stood her ground a bit more when it came to how Jake treated her. I felt a better connection with these characters than I did in the first book. This book also had a bit more drama and suspense which I liked. I liked the flow of this story and how Jake's attitude shifted throughout the book. I thought Jake and Evie were a great match together! Looking forward to the next installment!
