Good read!
I've read them all. Some were excellent. Some were fun. Most kept me on the edge of my chair (or the toilet when no one would allow me ten minutes of reading time.) The 5 stars are for the series as a whole, not any one book. Bothered a bit by the time travel bit, but I'll allow you the one. Sometimes you just can't dig yourself out any other way. Keep up the good work. And thanks for not killing off Dog. I know that had to be tough, but thanks again. You'd have lost me forever if he'd died when there was no need.

Excellent Series
Unfortunately all of our favorite characters could survive to the end, but they fought till the end. I appreciate that there was a prologue and that the series did not just end abruptly. You always wonder what happened (in the author's mind) to these people years later. I'm glad that glimpse in the future was provided to give us a true ending. Loved the series. It was a wild ride!

Omg, fantastic as usual , loved every minute of it, tried to read slowly as I didn't want to finish it, All readers that have not read this series I highly recommend that you do from the very beginning, you will come to know all of the characters, my favourite Dog and running a close second John, however all the characters are easy to relate too, my only sadness is that this series of 19 super fantastic books has to go an end. ,, I look forward to reading the Awakening soon. I chose this rating because it I can't rate any higher, there was absolutely nothing I disliked about the series and should recommend to all readers as it has something for everyone.
I may very well commence reading the series from the start, something I have never considered doing, Dirk Patton your the best.

A Fitting, Amazing Farewell
This series has long been my favorite, since i discovered the wonderful world of VPlague back in 2015. What are my thoughts on the final installment?
Amazing.
Amazing story, amazing series, one long amazing ride.
This series is my go-to when I get bored with many other genres- reading about John & Co is like coming home to a group of family and friends. I’m sad that the series is over, but damn if it didn’t go out with a bang! Fantastic job, Mr. Patton; I tip my hat to you at a job well done. Not everyone makes it; such is life. But life found a way. (Yep, Jurassic park reference- it’s that epic!)

Dirk Patton Fan for Life!
Have to say, hands down, best zombie apocalypse/end-of-the-world/action-packed adventure/scary horror/intense thriller series ever! Dirk Patton (well, John Chase and Dog!) is the reason I expanded my literary reach to include books I NEVER had any interest in, though I have always loved horror. I have no idea what it was that caught my eye about the very first book, but I DO remember I was totally unprepared to be so thoroughly captivated....by, like, the second PAGE! Every single book takes off at breakneck speed, and does not slow down! His writing style just drew me right in; I feel like this is how he really speaks/talks, and it makes ALL of his characters that much more real....like I KNOW them! I love books /stories that transport me right into that world, and this series, with non-stop action, unforgettable and relatable characters, impeccable military detail, tight plotline, and engaging and intelligent dialogue, ensured I'd never want to leave! I love how, throughout all the books, Patton writes with intelligence and knowledge, and especially honesty; his own sense of humor and quick wit, irreverent most of the time, is always present, as well as compassion and empathy, and his pride and commitment to his country is obvious. All of that...in a zombie apocalypse book!
I will ALWAYS read a Dirk Patton novel...no questions asked!

Incredible Journey
I have been with this series since Book 1 which I found on Goodreads for free. I was hooked from the first paragraph and waited patiently for the release of each new book. I have loved many characters and cried at the loss of many. I’m going to miss killing zombies and fighting for survival. Great job Mr. Patton 5 *****’s

Supreme Epic Wrap Up for One of the Best Zompac Stories Ever Written
From the first book I was hooked. What a wild and utterly crazy ride it has has been!!! The characters so lifelike and complete, the story so impacting and real, the horror of what possibly could be, such intense, up close and personal blood and guts scenarios, heartbreaking deaths and heart stopping rescues. Dirk Patton is a force of nature in this genre. His knowledge of all things military, his imagination extraordinare, his ability to continue to weave the storyline back together (even after it was down and out) and his wonderful gift of remaining true to his characters, to the bitter end, have supplied me with many hours of pure unadulterated entertainment, which I will be forever grateful for! The possibility for more massive adventures seem endless with the ending he wrote. I feel we have not seen the last of this epic tale. Thank you Mr. Patton, I enjoyed every heart felt moment, every blood soaked death and every laugh out loud scenario that wound through this tale of carnage!

Awesome!
I don’t usually write reviews. I just pick how many stars if I like the book. I almost lost my job reading this series because I couldn’t put it down! Kidding of course but not that far off. Every chapter is like being shot out of a rocket building on the storyline from the previous books. Highly recommend!

Fantastic
I've enjoyed the ride. The characters were the story not the infected all the way through. Couldn't wait for each book to be released. Sorry the story is over.

Aaaaamazing!!!!
Very sad to see this series end! But, so grateful for the hours upon hours living in John, Rachel, and Dog's world. Fantastic characters, tons of , and lots of love filled these wonderful pages! A definite must read!!!!!!

The best finished series that I have ever loved
And loved I did. I cried and at times I raged. There were lost characters...there was Dog, who I love as much as I love my own dogs. I couldn’t love these characters more and I felt the author’s pain when he lost his own Dog. He could not have immortalised him better if had done anything differently.
Finally, to the author. Thank you. You did an amazing thing. I can’t imagine the sacrifices that you and your family took in order to do so. I will follow you always.

Wow I hated to see this series end I wanted ti read it slowly not wanting it to end but you did a great job of ending it right!! I can't wait to see what happens in the next generation books too!! I am thinking of starting over I love the series that much. Thanks again for one of the best series after the Ashes series "

I am going to miss my friends, but as you say Dirk, who knows what the future holds. I read apocalyptic fiction as a way to destress. I am my Agent Orange veteran husband's caregiver as well as wife. Your books Dirk, have kept me company on many a rough night or night's and I am glad I picked up this series. I don't even know how many times I have read this series but I know it is always there waiting for me if I need it. This series is the best by far and I hope as readers of this genre you will give it a chance, so hope you enjoy as much as I have.

I applaud this series with everyone from me being 5 stars. I have laughed, cried, screamed, needed and sword from the beginning of the series u too the last page! This series has been packed with action, drama and suspense it has everything you want in an amazing series! Please if you haven't read these books stop what you're doing and get reading NOW!!!

Fantastic collection of well written books who's character are so well developed you would sweat you knew each personally
I read and enjoyed each book . The only disappointment was the sudden realization that I had sat and read each book in such a short amount of time. Once I began a book there was no stopping till the last word. Then the long wait for the next book. EXCellent ... EXCellent.

Great but sad
Spoilers!! So it's finally over yeah? I mean I guess it was time, but man what a ride. I was really really sad to see irina and igor die, I'm curious though....Nicole and viktoyia right? Amazing book. Amazing series. Can't wait for his next stuff.

All good things must come to an end
When you and Katie lost Dog last year, I cried with you. 20 days ago we lost our own and it seems my world is a little smaller and our house will never be the same. I don't want to leave any spoilers, but this may have been my favorite book of the series. That's a big may.....I came across the first one by complete accident and I thought, is this even something I could get into??? Make no mistake, I was hooked by the first chapter, I mean,duh, this is book 19!!!! Looking forward to other topics and many more characters to laugh and cry with.

Such a sad day
So very happy that I have read all the books in the series throughout the years but very sad that it is over. I will truly miss John, Rachel, and Dog. It was a very good conclusion to the series.

Sad, but content.
What a thrill ride from start to finish. Never have I loved characters, as I have in this series. I was in every battle, celebrated victories and cried with each loss. Well done, well done!

Outstanding!
I cannot say enough good about this series of this author. His books are extremely well written and the plots are unique and robust. This series is such a fantastic combination of creative apocalypse and military thriller that each book was a non-stop rollercoaster ride of holy cow! Do yourself a favor and read this. It's phenomenal.

All I can say is WOW! Dirk Patton has done it again. The conclusion of the V Plague series is full of action. I absolutely love John, Rachel, Martinez, Igor, Dog, Mavis and all the others. Dirk's characters come alive for you...you root for them, you hate them. No way the Russians are going to win and John wants to make sure of that. If you haven't read the V Plague series you really should. Well worth it.
