Dustan
I’m a Silverman, who's family centuries ago was gifted by gypsies to know who our soulmate is - I knew it was only a matter of time before I found my soulmate. I f*cked up. I met my one true love and called her names a woman should never hear. I hurt her. The second time I met her wasn’t any better and the third time I made promises I never really intended to keep. Awaking from a coma to the angelic splendor that is Cassandra Towensted changes everything. I have to start from scratch. I don’t know what happened before or after the accident, but I know that I’ve done something to hurt my woman. I need to recover, but all I want is to make Cassandra happy.
Cassie
My nerdy teenage life was boring before my best friend Jade dated a Silverman. The family crashed into our lives and boring was something I never experienced again. I was happy to be the third wheel, and as I watched others find their mates my expectations for a Silverman of my own rose.
when I first met Dustan, he didn’t act like any Silverman I knew. I was hurt that even after claiming I was his soulmate, he could be so self-centered and selfish. Tragedy brings about a second chance with Dustan becoming a changed man.

"Dustan" is the story of Cassie and Dustan.

Another sweet addition to the Caveman series, this one has the brooding oldest Silverman hero falling for a curvy redhead 18 year heroine. They have a shaky start, and the h and H spend the first half of the book fighting misconceptions and getting to know one another- while dealing with evil MC gangs, family interference and interpersonal miscommunications.

I really enjoyed the bond between both the families, the h and the H were made for each other- their chemistry was sweet and lovemaking was sexy. I liked that the h got therapy when she had issues, and the H spent time apologizing for his presumptions.

The (bred) ending was adorable.

DNF

I had to tap out. The heroine was either pushing the hero away or she was constantly going out with her friends. Just couldn’t get into it. If you are bothered by several editing errors there are several (I know some are bothered by that)

I will never read another book in this series, I'm just completely ANGRY with the way this supposedly close and respectable family treated the heroine.

Dustan was a tired grump after he got off a plane from the US so he didn't realize his soul mate was in front of him before he acted like a complete tool. Cassie grew up being bullied for her appearance and she has learned to forgive and forget the first time but if it happens again she wont be anybody's fool. So she gives in when Dustan begs her for a second chance, but Dustan disappoints in another way that time and Cassie decides to leave for some self reflection. When she finds out Dustan has been hurt though she is by his side, but his family is not quite as willing to forgive her for what they believe she has done.

This was a lot different for the caveman series. I almost gave it a 3.5 but once you get past the drama between Dustan and Cassie early on you are hooked. I will say that I felt like Cassie was at times a bit too immature and the dynamic of the Silverman family where Cassie was concerned really surprised me, put a dent in their armor for me.

DNF @ 50%.

The h was incredibly immature. She had problems with her body image and as soon as she loses weight is going to clubs. Is that really all that mattered to her? She went and gave herself some time off but was angry that the H didn't come when he said he would. This is after giving the H a hard time and rejecting him. I felt bad for the H, I think this was not a good h. By the way, what does "chunky renga" even mean?

This book needs an editor ASAP. It was hard to get into the story when I constantly had to re-read sentences due to missed words, wrong words used (ex. my instead of by), or a sudden switch in pov. I'm not a grammar fanatic however, this was beyond what is acceptable. Especially if I'm paying for the book.

Finally

***Possible spoiler alert***I feel like I have waited an eternity for this book. I wish I could have given it 5 stars but the editing is HORRENDOUS, someone seriously dropped the ball with this one, so it gets ☆☆☆ and a half from me. If you can deal with the editing mess then you're good to go. I really liked Cassie in Stephan, but am not a huge fan in Dustans book. she seems way to uptight and does NOT come across well, and I feel like this book was rushed as there is not much build up with either character. We don't learn anything new about Dustan and I feel like since its his book there should be something for us to learn. The way things end we don't even know if he got his memories back. when we first met cassie I had no idea that she was ever bullied and there was never even any mention of it. overall I enjoyed the book but was disappointed in the lack of character build- up as well as all the editing issues. I also didn't like the way Dustans family was portrayed. This is a family that loves hard, but they didn't in this book.

Disappointed

This book really disappointed me. The story line between Dustan and Cassie was fine. But honestly they just weren't that great if a couple. most of the book I thought Cassie was a whining self center witch and Dustan her little lap.dog. I also found The humor that has been in the other books completely missing. My biggest disappointment came from the story line involving Cassie and the Silvermen family, especially Jade.
I've read all the other books and never saw any problems with Cassie and Jade's friendship. Now all the sudden Cassie acts like Jade is the biggest witch. To me Cassie was just as big of factor as Jade.
A lot was made out by Cassie that she was tired of others dumping on her and treating her bad, especially during high school, but as someone who's read the books since the beginning of the series this was news to me.
I was really sad to see the direction Ms. Gower took with the Silverman family relationship as watching them interact is always one of the best parts of her books.I know others will have their own opinion about this book but whether you love it, like it or hate it be prepared for a different feel to th book.
My favorite books are still definitely Stephen's followed by Richard's.

Dustan is book five of the caveman instinct series. This book is Dustan and Cassie’s story which I feel like I have been desperate to read for a good while. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. This story is short, mixed pace and an enjoyable read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining.
The chemistry between Dustan and Cassie isn’t instant but it is clear to see. I liked Dustan and Cassie as a couple once they had pulled their heads from out of their butts.
I usually love the Silverman family but I was so disappointed in them! I was annoyed at how they treated Cassie, especially Jade and Derrick. That being said, I liked that Dustan stood up for Cassie and Cassie also made her feelings known.
I really liked the ending and epilogue for this book. I loved seeing Cassie and Dustan as parents.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

I really love this series! I love this book! This author is amazing❤️❤️❤️ she created a masterpiece and forever be one of my favorite book!

This series shows how dustan is very like one of his family, possessive alpha male which i very much in love with. This series also doesn’t include very annoying bitches from the guy, stephan has it but its not very annoying tho. But still this one doesn’t have that at all so its good. NO BREAKUP, NO CHEATING. Always happy ending and this one is a good happy ending! I liked that the author include the children so it put a big smile on my face. Dustan is very sweet, cassie is sweet too and the story is very sweet.

Seriously this dustan story is very good. I love it!

I can’t wait for more because i keep wanting more of this book😍😍😍 please author create more and don’t stop with this series❤️❤️❤️ i hope next we can see the other brother of stephan will have someone so sweet and maybe he can have a singer or someone so better to him? I don’t know but I can’t❤️❤️❤️ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Great addition to the curse

I know a lot of reviews were upset with Cassie but you have to remember she was only 19 years old. So of course she is going to act immature. Dustin was a jerk and his family didn't help the situation. As far as blaming her they could no more blame her then Jade for testifying. That is really the only thing I wish was a little different. Hazel really doesn't show the relationships being mended. Maybe that will be for other books. As far a Dustan he was a different person after the incident. His life before was just that his. He wanted Cassie to change her whole life because he felt he was more important. After there was more of a compromise between the two of them. Still a great read and a good addition to this series. I can't wait for more and I hope when we get to his brother Derrick more is explained about his attitude towards Cassie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from begining to end and it definitely was worth the wait. There were moments that were quiet heartbreakingly beautiful and I am pretty sure the author played beautifully with all her readers emotions as she slowly got her charecters back to where they need to be.

Dustan is dedicated to his job and family, but being over tired is going to be the worst mistake of his life. Cassandra is self conscious about herself and with just one slip up comment could make things exsplosive and harder than they ever needed to be. These two give new meaning to the word fireworks.

I would recommend this book and author to anyone who loves a beautiful and epic well fought for love, I hope you love this book as much as I have. Happy Reading ♡

Cassie and Dustan's story is wonderful!!

I absolutely love the stories in the Caveman Instinct--Gypsy Curse series. While all books can be read as standalones, because each is about a different couple, I recommend you read them all you definitely won't be disappointed. Dustan started off on the wrong foot with his soulmate, by calling her names and Cassie took it pretty hard. Their story is one of forgiveness and second chances and it is a beautiful story. I only have one complaint and it certainly doesn't affect my rating of this book. I was a little put off by Cassie, I'm still not a complete fan of hers (I'll keep my reasons to myself and let you form your own opinion.), but I definitely loved their story and I highly recommend it.

Loved the story. Wasn't crazy about the family's treatment of Cassie. Just didn't jive with how they were previously portrayed. For as long as we waited for this story, I would have rather waited a little longer for someone to clean up this manuscript. It needed an editor or proofreader. It was particularly bad in the beginning with misplaced words, missing words and misspelled words. It was very disconcerting. It did get better the further into the book I read. Otherwise a good addition to the series.

I had to put this down for now. Cassie was driving me crazy. She said the whole time she wanted to marry a Silverman, she knew how they acted she knew what they were about and then finally she gets one and it's too much for her. She can't handle it. So she runs and hides for over six months and while she's hiding the guy leaves her alone and doesn't come find her. So of course she gets mad that he's not coming to find her. I mean didn't you want time alone?

Maybe I'll come back, but for now I have to put it down for the sake of my Kindle.

Just so so.

I usually love Hazel Gower's books. Dustan seemed a little incomplete for a story to me. I love the Caveman Instinct series and I love her other works and I felt that I couldn't connect with Cassie as heroin and Dustan wasn't a alpha hero, more of a dud. It was just weird overall, though it was a good book I just doesn't feel like it was in the same standard as Ms. Gower's other books in this series which is why I have it 3 stars.

I think the plot was okay.
It's just the character was off on this book.
I mean Cassie before was confident in her own way and so jolly to a shy and emotionally wreck after meeting Dustan. I know it is unforgivable to be insulted in front of a crowd. But her sudden character shift is so sudden it just took me off guard.
That aside I enjoyed her story with Dustan.

Dustan

Dustan Silverman is home from America and has found his soul mates. She's a city red haired goddess that he will have too work hard for. In the latest Caveman book. Make sure you read the whole series to find his each man finds there one.

Damn... I had to stop reading. I'm really sorry for this... But the whole storyline was confusing while reading it. I was expecting it to be great. Maybe an edit of the book would be good so it would be more understandable. Sadly I have to rate it like this.

Cassie and Dustin

Dustin breaks Cassie’s heart, he is trying to put wrong what happened whilst everything around them is in chaos. It is a good read and can be read as a standalone although I’ve read some of the other books in this series which are also good

It was OK, I didn't like it as much as the other cavemen books. The H wasn't much of a caveman and I did not like the h. I loved the other books but this one was completely different and I didn't care for it.

The only thing I will say is that i hate stephan, jade and evelin. They were the worst, specially Stephan whose apology was pathetic. They were all super ungrateful to Cassie who was always there for fucking Jade.

I was expecting more from their story. I waited long for this book to come out, but was disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it was a good story, but I wish there was more. They got mad at her for no reason, like chill. It's not her fault, but then again her character changes like... what.

I powered through the first 4 books and thoroughly enjoyed them. I was looking forward to reading this one but it's a major disappointment. The grammar is terrible and makes it very hard to read. And Cassie is just awful.

I usually like the books in this series and I'm not sure if I got an unedited version, but holy hell it was hard to read. Flipping between 1st/3rd person within a sentence, horrible spelling & grammar mistakes, and repetitive words and phrases in a paragraph, made a two hour read a two day read.
