Everything but the kitchen sink...
If you like smartly written stories packed with sex, intrigue, sex, adventure, sex, plot twists, character development and steam coming from your kindle- you've come to the right place. This story centers around Jake, who after a chance encounter at a bar, decides to seize the day and embrace his gift for making those he comes across in his travels feel special and quite satisfied. This, however, is not your typical erotica read. The author provides so much substance in both his character development and descriptive imagery, that you find yourself submerged and vested in Jake and rooting for him to find his way to love on his terms. So, just in case you needed anymore incentive to read: the sex scenes are steamy, there are plot twists that keep you guessing, and there is definitely a happy ending . This will definitely be re-read by me...

It's been a long time since I came across a book strictly from a man's view. I was kind of hesitant to read this book and have never read anything from this author. Let me tell you, read this book! You won't be disappointed. Jake has this dominating confident aura about him. I felt like I was watching in the background on his journeys. His sexual energy and "attributes" are so hot! On many occasions, I wanted to run my hands over his chest and abs! Jake, You are my number one book boyfriend!

Jake Karter is a homeless, jobless, penniless young man, going from place to place trying to build a life for himself. He meets Bill Tuke in a bar and his life changes immediately. He chats up a young woman, Rachel, and from then on, he is a modern-day Casanova moving from willing woman to willing woman (they are all willing, sometimes initiating the action themselves). The ladies are attracted to him. “Women who were busy, overworked and in need of release but not demanding anything more from him. “ And he is so accommodating; to him, all women are beautiful and have something to offer. His twosomes sometimes turn into three-somes. But life is not all that cozy. One of these women is a psychopath and a menace in his life and responsible for his breakup with Rachel, whom he still pines over. We learn of Jake’s early years and what brought him to his down-and-out life.
I liked this book very much. It is a fun read with very clever and witty dialogue. Each chapter ending leaves the reader hanging and anxious to turn the page to learn what happens next. There are many colourful characters in this book with their own stories to tell. The author is an excellent writer and knows how to use scintillating and amusing language to tell his story. He has introduced us to a man, Jake Karter, who is every woman’s dream. Tall, handsome, well built, humorous, charming, attentive, confident, passionate, seductive, observant, and knowledgeable when it comes to pleasing a woman, and he can make delicious coffee. The author is very skillful in crafting games that Jake uses to ease the ladies into his bed. If you like a book that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat, this one is for you. It has a bit of everything; suspense, mystery, romance, excitement and very good sex scenes. Leaves you wondering how much of himself the author has written into his leading character. An entertaining and enjoyable read. I highly recommend it!

Well what can I say except, you really really really need to read this book!!! It is much more than just a simple sex erotica novel. This book has something for everyone and it will make you think twice about stuff you never gave a thought about before.
This book is full of plot twists and turns that you just can’t stop reading as you want to know how, why, and who. This is a completely unique book with cross genre appeal. If you like erotica then look no further there is all sorts of hot sexy scenes to whet your whistle but what this author has cleverly done in weave in an intriguing plot line and side characters that are so well padded out you get to know they very well.
The level of detail in this book is amazing and the descriptions of places are so realistic you can almost imagine you are right there with the characters ( and indeed some may wish they were 😉)
The book has so many funny moments and double entendres that you can’t help chuckling along while reading. It’s an amazing read about sexual discover, freedom and liberation for not just the women in the story ( who all are beautifully intricate to the plot in more than one way) but also for the men in the story. Certain Jake learns a thing or two as does his cute sexy side kick Marcus.

Wow, this book was an amazing read.
I’m always intrigued while reading a male author especially told from a male POV. This book did not disappoint. I was captivated from the first page and I couldn’t put it down. Jake Karter is the epitome of a perfect Book Boyfriend and his character development was perfect in the sense that as a reader I felt they were believable & engaging (whilst finding themselves in some very extreme & downright hot circumstances.) This book has a little bit of everything, debauchery, sin, sex & suspense.
I devoured this book as it was intended. This is a highly recommended read.

Adventurous and Erotic Read
I have never come across a book that is exceptionally well written with adventure, suspense and mysterious twists, characters are so developed but let's not forget the steamy, hot, sensual and erotic sex; especially from a man's point of view.
The story drew me in from the very beginning and it had me enjoying the slow burn teasing before the beautiful climax!
Read it, you won't be disappointed.

Finally a book that it’s not the same old story! The Amorous Adventures of Jake Karter takes you on a glorious ride of the sexual and erotic adventures of Jake’s life. It is HOT, steamy and a real page turner just as Jake karter’s instagram account where he posts passages of his book and pictures that can get your imagination going... ;)

Filled to the brim with sexy romps, The Amorous Adventures of Jake Karter is reminiscent of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Except Walter's having fantasies, and Jake's living fantasies of the naughty persuasion. There are times when the book reads like a romp through porno land with cute meets and then hello!
Told in 3rd person, one could question why it's not in first. The book is all about Jake's adventures. And, first would have let us see the world through Jake's eyes. And oh my, that would have been a joy. Alas, there are many scenes that occur without Jake in them. Even sex scenes. And it's all an important part of the story. Hence, an all-knowing narrator leads us through the Australian tale.
There's more to the book than just sex. Although sex is a lot of it! There's an evil woman afoot and the plot to uproot her twists and turns. Without giving too much away, I especially like the use of email. If one can hijack someone's email account, so much can be done.
A friend of mine once lamented that Fifty Shades has too much sex. She said, "It's just like, what, sex? Again?". So, if you agree with my friend's assessment, this isn't the book for you. However, if you dig the erotic, maybe even want a book to mark a favorite scene for enhancing your masturbation pleasure, then this book is for you. Jake's experienced, to say the least, and his adventures include good ole menage with MMF and MFF. There's no real bisexual action, but it's fun!
A little groovy factoid: Jake Karter has an Instagram account. I recommend you follow him. He posts passages from his book, but also photos of himself. Photos so naughty the Instagram police remove some from time to time. Follow him @jakekarterendures

I need a Jake Karter in my life
What a Great and very sexy story. I loved it right from the beginning, I couldn't wait to know what his next sex encounter would be. And wished to be that lucky lady ...all of them lol His story of his life is great, god I hated the bad witch in this story and so happy she got what she deserved and Jake was finally Free. I really do need to play the very Sexxxyy card game . This book was hottt from beginning to end. If you haven't read it you definitely should, You wont be disappointed.

I originally read this story on Wattpad, and then received a copy on Kindle. The story is fun and steamy. There was one part that got a bit confusing, but I was able to figure it out as I kept reading. Jake does a good job of painting a solid picture of the characters and the situations. There were twists and turns in there I didn't anticipate and it kept me wanting to read.
Overall a god job! Can't wait to read the next one.

The title of this book doesn’t begin to cover the wonder that is Jake Karter. What a refreshing change to read a book with female characters shamelessly fulfilling their sexual needs and not falling helplessly in love. More surprising is that Jake is not at all a selfish womanizer. For all of his “Amorous Adventures”, I honestly didn’t expect to like Jake’s character but how could I not? He’s an extremely likable, smart, funny and attractive guy, the type you could pour your heart out to, share a few laughs with and, after a very satisfying romp, part ways with a friendly hug.
All of these super hot, erotic encounters of Jake’s take place in a great story full of suspense, danger, and intrigue that is sure to please.

I hate to be brutally honest but I think I must this time. I had a difficult time getting into this book. I would read some and then the author would lose me. I didn't feel like I was learning anything about the characters as the story progressed. And sometimes I wasn't real happy where the storyline took me. But I kept plugging along.
I did realize this was an erotic romance but I expected better character and story development. When the story got a little choppy for me I put the book down, read something else and then went back, reread a chapter or two previous from where I stopped to get re-acclimated with the characters and the storyline. I REFUSE to leave a book until I have read the complete book.
When I got to the end I was glad I did. The more I read, the better it got. Now I wait to see if there is another book that will follow Jake and the rest of the characters in their adventures.
EDIT: The book has been edited and updated. I have returned and re-read it. (Feb 2021) This time I really liked it better than the first time. The author has edited and updated this book. It reads smoother and the I like the characters better. These both could be because I read the 2nd book in the series and know the characters better.

As usual Jake’s brain is in his trunks and the astute business woman catches him with his trousers down relieving him of his alter ego.
The Erotic Adventures of Jake Karter is an outstanding literary achievement. It’s a semi autobiographical novel penned by a middle aged man. What sets it apart from the erotic genre is the wit and vocabulary with which it is written. The highly descriptive narrative sets up each scene superbly and all three books are laced together with a cohesive story line. The brilliance in the writing is the characteristics of participants are described in detail but their physically attributes such as in their hair colour are scant. This facilities the superimposition of reader into the feminine roll and I swear to this day it’s me in the lift. The story has a good pace some ‘died and gone to heaven’ sex scenes along with intrigue, drama and suspense.
This book will have you laughing, crying and gripping the bed in more ways than one. If you haven’t had a book catch your imagination for years I can highly recommend reading this one.

After reading the blurb for this book I needed to find out more about Jake Karter. What I got as the pages unfolded was a multitude of layers to Jake. That fact alone made this a very enjoyable read for me. I was riveted from start to finish. I love a good book that not only brings the steam but also brings a killer storyline filled with suspense & Intrigue.
I thoroughly enjoyed this first book by this new to me author. He has cleverly transcribed the perfect story that has me waiting with baited breath for more. Jake has a knack at writing the perfect male perspective, but totally taps into the female psyche and makes you wonder if he can see inside all of your secret hidden desires. (I very much enjoyed this element of the book while reading.)

Definitely Interesting to read
Where to start? So much about this story that I want to say. So starting off to read is like listening to a campfire story: smooth, intimate and cozy. We learn a lot about our main guy, Jake Karter. The feelings triggered from his situation pulls the charitable humanitarian Christian in me to help. However our storyteller is just beginning his tale. As we journey along and relive his sexual encounters, some I considered rape since he was blackmail/coerced/extorted for sex and that angered me, Jake learns flexibility and adapting his new "super power". We get our villain, Morgan, who I believe got her just desserts. Yes you will hate her: or want to throat-punch, or simply put Nair in her shampoo bottle. Either way, she's evil and needs Jesus. So trotting along the story we learn of the many females Jake encounters who befriend him after sex. Later, each woman becomes a valuable resource to him. But I digress, thinking this is just a sex book, our author tosses in some juicy plot twist. Very clever because then we learn Jake's history and that is when it gets even more interesting. Its like the ball came out of left field - so unexpected. His name isn't Jake and something about a biker gang and he has nine lives because he's falls off the bridge - TWICE! What is up with that?! And then the end - he goes and leaves it with that ending. I turned the page to see how that phone call was going to go. Nope the end. So yes the sex is explicit and very detailed yet tastefully tactful in his writing. I had to take breaks because the vocabulary is eloquent and intelligent. He must have used a dictionary because - amazing execution and delivery. I wonder if any of this is nonfiction? I do know our character got his happy ending and its amazing! Now about that ending phone call...

And then the end - he goes and leaves it with that ending. I turned the page to see how that phone call was going to go. Nope the end. So yes the sex is explicit and very detailed yet tastefully tactful in his writing. I had to take breaks because the vocabulary is eloquent and intelligent. He must have used a dictionary because - amazing execution and delivery. I wonder if any of this is nonfiction? I do know our character got his happy ending and its amazing! Now about that ending phone call...

I had been recommended this book and author by several people and I'll admit, I was hesitant at first but I am so glad I took the plunge. I love that it's all from a man's POV, it's excite, it's adventurous, it's sentual and oh so hot! I am excited for the next one! I definitely recommend it!

What can I say about Jake Karter...... quite a lot really.
It was so easy to fall in love with the main character, Jake Karter, and what’s not to like?! He’s gorgeous, with a beautiful athletic build, oozing sex appeal and a cheeky smile that will most definitely melt your panties right off your body. Another thing I really liked about Jake was that he was such a great down to earth kinda guy, a bit naive at times, but a true gentleman with a very caring and loving heart. (I want a Jake Karter in my life!). Unfortunately, poor Jake manages to catch the attention of a horrible, narcissistic and psychotic femme fatale, and has the whole “Fatal Attraction” experience with her.
What I liked about this book was that it isn’t your “normal” everyday erotic romance read with loads of sex and no substance. This book has a really great storyline to it and is also very well written. I really enjoyed the fact that it was based in Australia, so the world building and local nuances were very familiar to me and an added bonus. Jake does a really great job with all his character development and every character and/or sexual encounter plays a vital role in the overall flow of the storyline. I found Jake’s life circumstances and experiences to be very realistic and relatable. There’s lots of drama and angst along the way, some really good and unexpected twists and turns in the story, as well as a lot of extremely hot panty wetting sex scenes.
If you haven’t read this book yet, do yourself a big favour and read it. You won’t be disappointed!

Well, let me tell you about this wonderful little gem....it was thoroughly amazing and entertaining in all the right ways!!! Jake is a man who is down on his luck, in life, with women and in general. In a strange twist of fate with the meeting of a bar patron, his life suddenly changes....in all aspects, however there is a past that is threatening to catch up with him. Will Jake be able to outrun it? Does he find all that he is looking for? Is this new life all that he wanted? To find out the answers to these questions, you must, must, must read this book...The story line is fantastic, a page turner beyond belief and the sex scenes are hot AF....you will not be disappointed!!! Can't wait to start the next one!!!

I finished this book back in October 2020 the first time. When Jake Karter's second book came out I decedied to reread this book. And I'm so glad I did because I read it the first time on Wattpad and it seems like I missed a few chapters. So it may more sense and it flowed right on into the next book.
This book has it all....its got your suspence, your mystery, and your erotic sex. Its got your charcherters you love and love to hate and oh yeah there's this thing with a bridge....twice.
It was certainly entertaining and keep me turning the page to see what Jake would do next and of course the sex was hot as f....Its a great book and I highly recommend it.
I'm half way done with the second book and looking forward to the third book in the series.

What an absolutely fabulous read! Totally captivating and original; this far surpasses the everyday erotic read.
The protagonist projects a mature, confident vibe which permeates through this intelligently written story filled with adventure, romance, suspense and oodles of steam - really it’s so hot it should come with a warning. Beautifully descriptive imagery and well developed characters that you can relate to will have you enthralled from start to finish. The dialogue is clever and witty and encourages female liberation of their sexuality in a refreshingly non-judgmental manner. This certainly is a Masterclass in “what women want”whilst having fun with it at the same time. That card game - whew!
Highly recommended read - don’t miss out.

I went into this book expecting sex. Lots and lots of sex. I got that in spades, but I also got an intriguing story that kept me turning the pages. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've read slow burns, where the story is long and drawn out before you get to the juicy stuff, whereas this book was the opposite. The juicy stuff happened pretty quickly, however, the story unfolded gradually and it wasn't until about three-quarters of the way through the book that the many different facets which had been established earlier came together.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book and the continuation of Jake Karter's story.

I love me some Jake Karter and this series. He is such a charmer and someone I would want to get to know in "the real world" and I am envious of the ladies in the book - ha!
The dialog in the book was so freaking hot that I had to write some of it down.
I took my sweet time reading this book because I just did not want it to end.

Jake Karter is a man without a path. Hoping from one menial thing to the next until he meets a stranger at a bar that he thinks put a sort of spell on him. The rest of the book follows his exploits while he tries to find his way with his new swagger.
This book is full of some very hot times and very intriguing situations. You will not be able to put this book down once you start - except to cool off a bit!

This is not your typical romance and it drew me in from the start. While there is romance, it is filled with erotic sex, mystery, suspense and adventure. And it does have an amazing good ending. Looking forward to the next book to see what else Jake gets up too!
