Made blood sisters in the 1950s, when they were school girls in Colorado, Jen, Helen, Libby, and Bonnie take separate paths toward love, success, tragedy, and heartbreak as they grow into women. Reprint.
This book was a slow read for me. It took a while to get going into something worth reading. The characters were WELL developed. I felt like I was reading about Real Housewives of.... I kept thinking that that is how my life would be if I were constantly on camera...not too exciting. The end was a little bit unexpected and that's when the whole thing got exciting. At the end, I wish they would have done a bit more character follow up. The whole book takes place over about 35-40 years. One of the reasons it's a bit slow going.:~
This is my 1st book I am reading of Judith Henry Wall . I happened to pick the book in my local library after i read the summary. i couldn't put the book down until a finished reading it. it kept me gripping and the ending was very unexpected. The suspense was well maintained and the human emotions were well portrayed. Over all an excellent book of suspense and thrill.
This is a magnificent book. It is hard to find books that can catch my attention and actually keep it, but this book was so intense every word I read I just wanted to keep reading. There is defiantly no book like this one. All the sexual scenes gave it a more mature outlook but the way the four friends were so close and they wanted to find the fourth friend, Libby, it was just amazing.
