Romance that’s heartfelt, hopeful, and hot!

Life is messy and painful, and my stories reflect that. They’re about people with baggage and pasts that are hard to conquer. It’s not pretty, and they’ll fall along the way. And more crap happens while they’re trying get up. Just like life.

My stories aren’t sweet and nice, but there are moments of sweetness, tenderness, and laughter. Most of my characters are genuinely nice and always try to be a better and never give up or give into the darkness.

Rockstar romances are without a doubt one of my favorites. I live for rock concerts. I love the energy they produce. I’ve made it a point to give my kids the gift and magic of music. Which is why I read and reviewed this series that perfectly captures the essence of a rock concert.

Jessica Marlowe is a new to me author, but I was intrigued by this rock trilogy’s synopsis and covers. No More Yesterdays is book #2 of the Rocked in Love trilogy that picks up where “With You” left off having Jack trying to incorporate Emily into his life.

After Emily found out about her cheating fiancée, she’s dragged by her best friend to a rock concert where the infamous Jack McBride zeros in on her and instantly falls in love. The first part of their story is a series of ups and downs between the two where Jack finally convinces Emily to give them a chance.

In this installment Jack patiently tries to cement their relationship even though there are many obstacles in his way: a looming world tour, Emily’s ex who he’s convinced wants her back and a stalker who is threatening Emily’s safety.

As with the first book, No More Yesterdays captures the rock lifestyle well, and has Jack as an incredibly swoony and patient hero. Yet Emily was a difficult character to like. I was also a bit bothered by the many, many supporting characters with innocuous subplots.

I feel invested in this couple and would like to see them both happy. All Your Tomorrows (great title by the way) is the last in the series.

5 Fantastic Stars

This is second installment of Jack and Emily’s story and what a story it is. I’ve fallen in love with these two and they have become one of my favorite couples. Emily had been through a life altering trauma and to add to that Emily found her fiancé, that she was three weeks for marrying, cheating on her in her own bed.

Jack was the famous rock star who had family roots that meant the world to him and when Emily caught his attention at a concert has been doing everything in his power to help Emily find her way out of the darkness and to find her way to him. Jack is so patient with Emily but with his life on the road for the next bit of time he’s afraid that it will just be too much for her. Add to that he is sure that her ex will try everything in his power to win Emily back.

This book is the development of their relationship and Jack trying to make Emily every bit a part of his life and family. There is also that suspense element to this book because Jack has a stalker and this stalker wants nothing more than to have Emily out of the picture so she can move in on the man of her dreams…Jack. Who is this person and how long will it take for Emily to pronounce her love to Jack? Will this tour which is now keeping them apart for over a month at a time prove to be too much for their new relationship to survive?

This was a hard book to rate. Emily drove me nuts at times. Jack was always trying yet it seemed like Emily was never happy. I'm too invested in their relationship now though. I will have to see how it all ends for them.

Looking for 6 Stars! ..... This book. Wow!

I was looking for the button to go beyond 6 stars, but I guess 5 stars will have to do because I just can't find it.

Here's why I think this book deserves a 6th star..... characters and the plot.

I'm typically not one for cliffhangers or series that one must buy to continue the story. This book really isn't it. It is a larger than life story that continues from book 1. When I finished book 1, I immediately downloaded this book, threw in some laundry to make it seem like I was trying to keep my domestic goddess badge, and settled in to read while the laundry was in the wash!

.... hours later, the laundry was still in the wash and I was sore from sitting in one place. ... and life interrupted because I had to go to work.

This book and the characters were on my mind all day. Sure, its' a hot romance.... but it's so much more. It's a book about family, pushing back against challenges we hope to never face, and coming to realize that you don't have to fight all of your battles alone.

The characters make this book work... Jack is a relentless boyfriend. He's instantly fallen in love with Emily and she's on his mind all the time. He's a rockstar that has a 24x7 career, a band who is like family, family who is looking out for his best interests, and a stalker.

Emily's loss has made her rely on herself and her small posse of friends. She doesn't realize that she's in emotional need of a family, one that Jack is willing to provide.

The book sizzles and tugs at your emotions. As much as Jack is instantly in love with Emily, she will take convincing.... as will his family who has seen him go all in before. He's attentive and sensitive to what Emily needs, even if she doesn't realize it. He is there fore her in ways that she hasn't dared to hope ... all since her emotional and physical tragedy, of which she is reminded of daily.

Jack's bandmates are terrific sub characters... Despite the fact that they are real rockstars, they all have personal challenges to overcome ... Emily has supporting characters who have become her family, ones who both protect her emotional fragility and cheer her on as she looks to overcome the trauma.

I'm anxiously awaiting book #3 ... with the hopes that once I get that one that Ms. Marlowe starts on book #4! If you are looking for a great read, download this book now!

Very good 2nd part
Spoiler book 1
Very good second part, always very well written: the characters continue to evolve in their relationship between the light of the media, a stalker who is more and more likely to attack Emily while Jack is completely in love and tries to manage at the same time the security of her companion and the pain of living that she experiences following the separation from her ex-fiancé, and her family past. This part is about this awareness of having to go beyond this past to afford a future, whatever it may be.
Now, Jack knows Emily's problem and the way she used to punish herself, but if he's still certain of his feelings, Emily has a hard time opening up with Jack in a few days, and she's still hiding pain related to her past. He knows they only have a few days before he goes on tour, but Jack projects themself further than her, for meeting her family, organizing for a life as a couple, that she has not even considered yet.

I received a complimentary copy of Jessica Marlowe's Rocked in Love Series including With You, No More Yesterdays, and All your Tomorrows in exchange for an honest review.

Pros-Writing Style was well done, and had several good themes. There was drama, trauma, alcohol/drug abuse/family life/bedroom scenes, stalking, and everything in between,

Cons-Way too many characters, side themes, and just filler stories that went no where (I could care less how many breakfasts Em and Jack ate together and what types of food they ordered or made- this whole series contained examples like this). I also felt like the author kept going repeating the same themes over and over,

Opinion: One book could have covered the entire series and did this series more justice. Since Book 2 & 3 were just continuations, of book 1 and not spin off characters, I found myself skimming the last two books, and I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything. I will admit the finale in Book 3 brought me to the finish line, and left me with a good lasting impression.

4 Stars for this rockstar romance!

Jack and Emily's story continues in this book. I loved Jack ... he's so caring and just wants to be with Emily and tries to please her. He is definitely not the usual rockstar. But it just seems that Emily is never happy ... she actually makes me kinda mad! Then I guess a person doesn't change their whole life for someone you've only known a couple of months. I like the mystery of the stalker and there is Emily's ex adding to the story. Then there's the steamy scenes ... and there are lots of them and they are very well written!

I know that a lot of people don't like that there are so many characters in the book, but I actually don't mind it. Then again, I'm reading the books one after the other, if there was time between reading the books it would probably get confusing and hard to remember who was who. I am diving right into the next book so I can find out the end to Jack and Emily's story.

It's been a whirlwind romance for Jack and Emily after meeting at one of Jack's concerts just a week ago. Whilst Jack has jumped off the deep end and fallen head over heels in love with Emily, she is a little more practical. How can she date a rock star? especially one who is only just started a world tour with his band.

Join them as they navigate through the early days of their relationship. From Jack wanting to include her in all areas of his life including meeting his family, scheduling time together and relocating back to New York. Whilst Emily is still overcoming past tragedies, history with her ex and learning to trust again. If that weren't enough there is the added issue of Jack's stalker, who has decided that she needs Jack in her life and will stop at nothing to get her way.

The second segment in a trilogy - originally one large 1200 page book now split over three books. Which is obvious when it comes to the end of the book as you are only partway into their journey.

Emily and Jack… I loved those two in the first book and while writing it I have finished book no.3 already. I just couldn't stop and wanted to know how the story ends. What a great first series Jessica!

However, a couple of plot holes drove me nuts within book 2. For example Meg who had a thing with Vince from Alchemy Riot and one of Emily's best friends going on "before they hit it big". Later on she is worried if Jack has been with her editor. What? Where did that come from now? There are a couple of little hick ups which added to my slight annoyance with Ems constant worry about literally everything.

Don't get me wrong- I still loved the story and characters - and REALLY hope for another view into Vinces and Eddies story - but a bit more consistency within all those worries and story lines to be build (and not just making a fuss out of everything) would've been nice. :)

This is book 2 in the rockstar series following Jack, the rock star, and Emily, his love. Jack is wonderful- caring and loving, he fully admits how much he loves her and he has real stars in his eyes. Emily is really wishy washy and I feel like her hesitancy dragged. The story felt long and was full of details and maybe too many details. However, I thought that many aspects of the story (Watching his stalked unravel, dealing with the issues associated with being famous, and being apart for extended periods of time) were well done and interesting. I guess I was just thinking that 3 books could likely have been fit into 2 books if it moved along a little more smoothly!

I give the book 3.5 stars.

I bought and read the first book of the series from amazon and received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I'm looking forward to reading the final book to hopefully get at the final HEA.

This is book two in the Rock In Love books, this is not a standalone read in my opinion as its the continuation of Jack and Emily's story. This book involves both Jack and Emily agreeing to a relationship but also learning all the challenges that come along with it. Especially since Jack is on a twenty month tour. If that does not challenge the couple enough we of course have someone stalking Jack that he is now afraid will go after Emily. This is a great read on how these two characters progress as a couple but also individually. With all the new challenges and complications as well as the secrets, can Jack and Emily reach their HEA? Anxiously, waiting for book three.

I was expecting a more light hearted storyline for a rockstar romance series than I found in the Rocked In Love series. There are several sub plots that carry some weight and emotional depth which are interesting to explore with the characters.

I was struggling in my rating of this book until I came across another review that mentioned this series was initially a single 1200 page tome. That completely changed my perspective and put the series in a whole new light for me.

Although there are some heavier topics that come up in this series, I've read both books one and two and they were quick reads. The only stumbling point for me is the myriad of characters. Sometimes I'd have to pause to remember who was who.

Otherwise this is a good choice for a weekend indulgence read-a-thon.

This is the second book in the Rocked in Love series. There is lots of mystery and intrigue going on as Emily and Jack's relationship continues to grow. Good primary and secondary characters with a storyline that continues from the first book but goes more in depth. Will Emily and Jack be able to make a go of their relationship? Will others conspire against them to keep them apart? Will Emily be able to trust again after what happened with her ex? Looking forward to see what happens in the next book. Enjoyable read!

They say that you should always leave the audience wanting more! and Jessica did, again!

The second installment of Jack and Emily's story is even better than the first, very angsty, really hot sex scenes which I thought was surprising as Emily seems to be a shy and introverted person, but apparently not in bed! The love story is surrounded by an air of mystery making me wonder who the stalker is. Jessica gives us a clue but is it a red herring? hmmm I wonder!

I would have given this five stars but Jack is starting to annoy me a little, for a hot rockstar he seems so possessive, probably because of his past romantic history. Emily needs to learn to trust again, forget the guy who cheated on her and get on with the life she has with Jack.

No More Yesterday's A Rock Star Romance (Rocked in Love Book 2)
by Jessica Marlowe

The second part of a trilogy following the unfolding new romance of Jack and Emily and what are the trials of dating a rock star whilst the band is on a big tour - the ex girlfriends stalkers etc.

The books involves more characters in this book alongside the band and how they all deal with the dark side of fame.

A well written book though I’m personally not fond of this type of series. I suppose I’m just too impatient to find out the ultimate outcome but still one more to go. Bear in mind tthis is just my personal reading choice but series like this type seem to be very in vogue at the moment . 3.5/5

Very good romantic suspense novel with lots of sex, but unfortunately an unresolved stalker mystery. Jack and Emily become closer but due to her tragic past and her cheating fiance, she finds it difficult to commit to Jack. As much as I enjoy graphic love scenes, there is a bit more than necessary. Too bad I'll have to read the next book in order to discover the stalker's identity. Overall a very entertaining book.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy of the book for review! This was an interesting sequel to book 1. While I enjoyed the plot line and character growth of Emily and Jack, the constant smut really detracted from the storyline. I’m all for escapism from reality but it just felt like way too much sex and not enough focus on the plot. I’m looking forward to reading book 3 (All your tomorrow’s) and seeing how Jack and Emily’s story ends!

This is book 2 of a trilogy. You need to read book one first.
Had there not been so many of the same same sex scenes, this could probably be a single book.
Emily is just as an outing in this book as in the first one. Jack loves her desperately, but she just can’t get to yes. (About love. Not jumping into bed)
Jack is a great guy for a rock star. But he sure falls head over heels, over and over.
Not a lot really happens in this book. Barely, the plot moves forward.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. This book has a complex storyline with lots of emotion, pain and struggles. It's also filled with love, great sex scenes, loyal friends and great messages we can all learn from. This book is well written and and has all the feels in it. I can't wait to see what develops next. Great read!!

No more yesterday’s returns where book one left off and Jack and Em are trying to get it together. This book they have to fave quite a few different issues including touring and so much more. We get more of the band, the stalker, and ex’s of Jack. Emily is making strides to accept Jacks feelings. It was good an I enjoyed it

The redeeming thing about this book is the supporting characters

Both Emily and Jack got on my nerves in this book. Her for blowing hot and cold and him for being impatient.

This book felt like it had a lot of "filler" for navigating how their relationship progresses. As such some serious editing wouldn't have gone amiss.

I want to know who the stalker is. I'm invested now

I’m falling in love too!

The farther I go into this series, the more I don’t want it to end! I love how Jack and Emily are falling in love. Jack is miles ahead at being deeply in love with Emily and she is slowly catching up. I like the side story of Jack’s stalker and can’t wait to see if I’m right about who it is.

Mystery with no ending

Loved the content , Jack and Emily are so loving together. I think Emily might be less scared of flying if she was on a private plane. Hope she travels more next book and lives happy every after.🤗🤗🤗🤗

Nice story

I like the story but the girl is driving me nuts. Just how many objects can you throw in the poor guys path and he has his own problems. I just know she's gonna screw up in the next book.

Book 2 in the Rocked in Love Trilogy. I love me a good rock star romance and this series is no disappointment. I was worried that the second book would feel like stretching as it sometime does after a great opening book and not enough story for three books. Sometimes that middle book makes really slow work of developing the characters, throws in unneeded and distracting subplots, or has main characters who have a stupidly slow time coming to their senses and "growing" as people. Jessica Marlowe has no need for any of that nor has she done any of that in this book. The story is organic in its development with secondary characters help move the plot along, show us who Emily and Jack are outside of their hot as fire relationship, and are well developed on their own. Jack and Emily are both struggling with who they are on their own and as they learn about the other, they learn about themselves in what feel like a genuine awakening brought on by meeting "The One" but being real people with real flaws. On the flip side, this story does not race from meet to married in an unrealistically short time span either. I can't wait to read the last installment of this story!

Second book of this series.
Finally Emily decides to give it a chance with rock star Jack. They are together and trying to figure out how to keep their relationship while he is touring.
But they face their first obstacle with Jack's family and his ex-girlfriend. His family worries Emily is using him and compares to his ex. They weren't welcoming her to family when they find out she just broke off her engagement couple days before. Then Jack's ex calls him for help even though he knows it won't help her much but he decided to go when Emily encourages him to go.
Jack and Emily realizes there is a stalker near them and trying their best to be prepared. Stalker is not revealed and seems to be continuing until next book.
Through out the story, Emily frustrated me often but Jack makes the story better.
I can't wait to see how whole story ends.
