Oh, this series is such fun! I am totally loving Rosario+Vampire and all of the goofy, silly antics this group gets into.

This feels like the fun of a middle schooler, wrapped up for Young and New Adults. Tsukune and his bunch of misfit girls are quite the delight, adding a new friend into the mix and dealing with some new issues. Another teacher is up to some tricks, an abominable snowgirl is hanging around and something is going on with Tsukune himself!

I love this series and I think it's quite the hidden gem for VIZ manga. I can't get enough of it! The characters grow, and it's not just the Moka show anymore. Everyone gets in the action, and there's lots of immature hilarity that takes place. Plus, monsters galore! The little myth and lore hidden in this book is awesome.

I highly recommend grabbing this book! It's quite the throw back but a super fun manga to sink and let yourself escape from the world in. It's also quite amusing! Who doesn't need a little action and hilarity in their life right now?

Four out of five stars.

Shirayuki the Abominable Snowgirl is the ultimate yandre 🥶 she’s like me when I have a favourite person x1000 lol, but looks like she might end up in Tsukune’s friendship circle now!
Also one of the monsters in this is literally the Kraken. So cool!

I often wonder why this hellish academy is so full of mafia like yobs and creepy teachers! xD
Anyway, as always (another re-read) we meet another character, who is of cause more than she at first seems to be. I remember Mizore being one of my favorites the other times I read this volume, but I can't see so much the appeal anymore, for the time being at least. She's just so... Odd.
I love that throughout this, we see Tskune suffering with the regular, mundane trails of being a teenager, even though he conducts and participates in some major battles. I just find it so refreshing to still see him acting like a ''human'' would and crushing hard on Moka and worrying about being class manager. It's soooo cute! :3
Speaking of battles, we finally see what Moka's blood does to Tskune a little bit in this volume, with promises and hints at more worrying elements later on in the series. (Also, does he lose the ability to communicate in this vampire battle mode??? o.O)
Not so much of a feature from Ruby, but I'm glad it sort of ties up what's happened in the human world and that she's recovering, in the beginning of the manga.

>Random side note... Nekonome Sensei totally reminds me of my tutor, ironically called Cat, who teaches me a few units in my animal management class.... It's so weird how it's only just clicked that they're virtually THE SAME person, plus I think my tutor is pretty much a pescatarian too.. So strange, but anyway... Where was I?<

Oh yes, this is another excellent volume from Akihisa Ikeda and it's boosting up my stars!

Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy! >(^_^)<

A bit anti-climatic ending to the Ruby/Witch on the Knoll arc, I guess I had my mind confused with the anime. :P Most of the book was about our ice lady: Mizore. I didn't quite like her in the beginning, but later on I started to like her more and more. She really makes a change, while she is still stalkerish, she is also kinder and friendlier.
And we also see that the poop is hitting the fan, what Moka did to Tsukune is now truly showing the effects and I guess the next one will dive deeper into the topic.

I kind of forgot what happened the last book, so the beginning was confusing. But eventually I got the plot.
I just Love The snow girl! Shes so nice, although a bit creepy, shes cool! I don't like Moka the best, shes just kind of clueless, even if she is nice.
What's happening in the story so far is pretty interesting, I didn't think that bull would come back, much less with a group of thugs. I also didn't expect that thing with Moka's blood to be affecting Tsukine that much.

I like to give Manga series 5 volumes to bed in - by then I can normally tell if I'm going to stick with them solidly, pick them up now and again, or give them a miss. This is definitely in the stick with it solidly category now. Yes, it's a tad formulaic, but it's fun! And this volume adds a great new character, and a needed change up to the status quo. So yes, unless something unexpected happens, I'll be avidly seeing this through to the end. (It's already beating the Anime hands down.)

"QUIZ 5: ABOMINABLE SNOWGIRLWHEN A LITERAL FROST QUEEN FALLS FOR YOU LIKE AN ICICLE OFF THE EAVES OF AN ALPINE CHALET, IT'S BEST TO TAKE...a. a snowdayb. a chill pill c. the heat off of her"

Volume 5 and it's still same old same old with this manga. Every volume is a new bad guy trying to kill Tsukune and Moka saving him. It was a cool concept but it isn't going anywhere so I suppose I'll be done.

This volume ties up the witch story arc, introduces abominable snow girl Mizore and has our students face a Kraken and monstrels (mongrel monsters). It also deals with the affects prolonged exposure ot Moka's blood is having on Tsukune. Really nice artwork, and lively characters continue to make this series a really fun read.

Review of the first manga series 1-10:

This manga is not terrible, let’s just say that. But it has a lot of problems.

The art is beautiful and I think the art itself is where the author’s talent lies most heavily, not plotting. The plots of each volume…pretty laughable to even try to identify them with the idea of ‘plot.’ The situations are so see through you know well before anything goes down just how it all will end.

Fan service is always appalling when it happens upon a page, though expected, but some of the scenes are too ridiculous and insulting to bear.

One of the biggest things that turns me off when reading is how unfoundedly every female creature flocks at the main character. It’s stupid, unrealistic and makes the volumes hard to get through. Tsukune has his modesty, his kindness and his loyalty going for him, but the ladies don’t recognize those attributes and use them as a basis for their undying love for him. The love is just thrown in there to make him look like a big shot, a young boy acting as a damsel in distress, needing savior from the girls around him.

I think what keeps me reading these books (despite having bought them all for really cheap and used) is the incorporation of different monsters and what possible ridiculous motives they might have. That, along with the arc of the Rosario and the tensions and connections it creates between Moka and Tsukune.
In the end, I’m still going to read into the “second season” to see if it will get any better.

This turned out to be a pretty decent series so far. When I started reading the first volume this morning, I wasn't so sure I would continue past these first five. It seemed that the plots were often recycled and that there was nothing new going to happen and no development in the characters. But with Tsukune's further integration into the student body of his new "monster academy," the plots become more interesting as the gang faces up against improved villains, gain additional members who turn out to be funny and very helpful, and do adapt and grow from their experiences to an extent. The art is pretty, I'm in love with the character models. I find that the only thing "advanced" about this Shonen Jump Advanced manga is that there is plenty of fan service - ridiculous panty shots, many male faces pressed into female bosoms - and a few of the scenes are a little "rapey", but overall, it isn't overwhelming and is pretty easy to just take as it is and keep on. I find myself giggling a lot, whether it be at how cute or silly the characters and their interactions with each other are, or how completely absurd or unbelievable something is, but it is always a good laugh. Although this one didn't particularly grab me, I've decided that I will continue with this series later and simply read it when I feel like I need something fun and light.

Huh... well I am quite happy to say this series is taking a turn for the better! It started out really meh but each volume has been an improvement from the last. This volume was a bit ruined for me because I saw the episode in the anime first...but oh well.

I am very happy to see that Moka transfusing Tsukune with her blood is finally have an impact on him. I was going to be pretty pissed if she was constantly turning him into a temporary vampire and nothing serious was going to happen.

I didn't think I was going to want to keep reading this series after this volume, but turns out I am! That is exciting!!

A new ice creature enters the scene, a nice change of pace. I also liked that the end wasn't exactly what was expected. She promises to be an interesting character, except for the fact that she joins the ranks of women who have fallen in love with Tsukune....which appears to be EVERY single one.

The evil witch completes the Merge. Moka defeats her. Ruby barely survives. Tsukune gets a creepy stalker who is an abominable snowgirl. He's elected class president. Tsukune goes vampire and saves Mizore from a Kraken teacher. Tsukune gets sick. Tsukune goes vampire by himself and defeats a Monstrel group.

So now there's yet ANOTHER girl in love with Tsukune... What a bore. At least she's cooler than the others HAHAHAHA see what I did there? You would if you've read it! In all seriousness though I DO like her best, after Moka. But Moka's all wishy-washy. Mizore does what best for Tsukune, even if it's not in her best interest of win in him over. And she has a sense of style.

With the end of summer over, a new school year begins with Tsukune and the gang. After their counter at the sun flower field in the human world their newspaper club now has a new headline for their next back to school story. And that's not what also is a headline when a new girl come to school. A girl who very chill to meet Tsukune very much. Find out who is this new student in this next series.

There was a fun playfulness about this series that I really enjoyed. The author threw in a healthy mix of comedic relief to each character and I loved how there were so many completely opposite personalities.

It is getting good and also taking a turn that the anime did not. I am interested in how the manga differs from the anime as it is taking turns like Tsukune turning into one without Moka's help in the manga now. I also read 1 2 3 4 and 5 I just did not remember to record them on good reads.
