Madzia bardzo się cieszy z przeprowadzki do nowego domu. Nie może się doczekać spacerów z Figą, swoją figlarną suczką rasy labrador. Rodzice obawiają się jednak, że Figa będzie wchodziła wszystkim w drogę i babcia proponuje, że weźmie ją do siebie na czas przeprowadzki.
Madzia i Figa jeszcze nigdy się nie rozdzielały. Dziewczynka bardzo tęskni za swoim pieskiem a Figa zrobi wszystko żeby wrócić do domu i do swojej pani.

Ellie knows her person is Megan and that Megan makes her feel loved, wanted, and appreciated. In return, Megan receives love, appreciation, and the special companionship that only a faithful furry friend can provide. Sincere care and concern are shown by both human and animal in this touching story of cherished friendship.

I really like this book. Ellie is very cute. I think that Megan's friend, Bella, is very nice and a good friend. My favorite part is when Ellie's running around in the field.

Mediocre story, didn't really capture my daughters imagination. Ellie gets left with Gran but escapes to try and find her owner who she is missing. Ellie ends up on a journey in the big wide world, this could have been much better, making the book a little bit longer Ellie could have had a really interesting journey instead what we are left with is a rushed journey.

By far the best part of the book are the pencil drawings, amazing detail and a joy to inspect when you turn the page and come across one.

Promising stuff but needed a bit more depth.

It is about a dog called Ellie which needed to leave its old house and its master, Megan. It ran ten miles to find Megan.
I love this book because it is interesting. Ellie can run ten miles to its old house. It is touching in the end which the part that they meet again.

Każdy od czegoś zaczynał swoją przygodę ze światem książek. Moja bardziej poważna relacja z fikcyjnymi bohaterami rozpoczęła się co prawda od Wattpada, którego kiedyś poleciła mi kuzynka. Zaczęłam coraz częściej zaglądać do tej aplikacji, ale do dziś pamiętam, jakby to było wczoraj, jak bardzo byłam szczęśliwa, gdy w szkolnej szatni powiedziałam mamie, że mam nową książkę na wieczór. Mama rzadko czytała mi książki na dobranoc, ponieważ tego nie potrzebowałam i też nie oczekiwałam tego codziennie. Jednak, kiedy już to robiła, słuchałam jej głosu jak zaczarowana i nigdy nie lubiłam momentu, w którym nadchodziła pora spania. Te chwile miały w sobie coś wyjątkowego, poczucie bezpieczeństwa i bliskości, które dziś wspominam z ogromnym sentymentem. Wypożyczyłam wtedy książkę „Wróć, Alfiku!”. Jest to historia o pewnej parze, ich psie oraz dziecku, które ma się wkrótce pojawić na świecie. Gdy maleństwo przychodzi na świat, Alfik nie otrzymuje już tyle uwagi co wcześniej, przez co zaczyna rozrabiać. Właściciele nie potrafią sobie z nim poradzić i podejmują decyzję o oddaniu psa. Piszę tę recenzję jeszcze przed ponownym sięgnięciem po tę historię, ale doskonale pamiętam emocje, które mi wtedy towarzyszyły, ja, cała czerwona, z potokiem łez na twarzy, przeżywająca smutne losy Alfika, i mama, której oczy, ku mojemu zdziwieniu, nawet nie zaszkliły się od łez. Dla mnie, osoby niemal pełnoletniej, nie jest to już najlepsza forma rozrywki. Zaczynam dostrzegać powtarzalność schematów i podobieństwa między jedną historią a drugą. Jednak dla tej małej mnie, która dopiero odkrywała świat książek, była to opowieść pełna emocji, ucząca empatii i wrażliwości. Nieważne, ile będę miała lat i nieważne, co będą mówić inni, raz na jakiś czas wciąż będę sięgać po takie książki. Robię to nie tylko z sentymentu, ale też dla tej młodszej wersji siebie, która zakochała się w czytaniu i która wciąż na to zasługuje.

Jeśli jednak czytaliście już któryś z poprzednich tomów z tej serii, historię Figi możecie sobie spokojnie podarować, bowiem nie znajdziecie w niej niczego nowego."

This is book three is essentially a series of self contained stories about animals, hence the inventive series title Animal Stories. This one is about a dog, and despite the animal series titles, there seems to be a proliferation of dog and cat stories amongst them.
Anyway this is my entry level to the world of Holly Webb and her animal adventures, it is clearly for younger audience, and seems to be for younger girls, not a bad story, if a little obvious, but considering its target age group it is very reasonable.

Nova just loved what i read to her, especially when the puppy was having her adventures in the garden.
She runs away from granny, and that's the adventure you'll read about in this cosy book.
Nova sat here with mixed emotions and tears in her eyes.
She was so sad when the puppy disappeared, but excited to follow Ellie on her adventures as well.

To preface my review, my 7 year old stepdaughter picked out this book to read herself.
It appears to be an easy read, kids book, but much of the story is written with larger more advanced words than I expected. Also, a large chunk of the story is sad and distressed which didn't make for good stopping points without worrying about what's going to happen to Ellie the puppy.
