Lots of it is not very interesting, some of it is not factual, and most of it is badly written. Perhaps the right book for the bathroom or some waiting room at the dentist, but not the kind of knowledge that'll make you a socially more remarkable person.
I had fun reading all those facts, some I knew, others I discovered. In fact, this book felt like an extension of my brain: filled with random facts that I won't probable find a use for, messy, and occasionally repetitive!
A fun little diversion while deciding what to read next. I wish the author had used a better editor, because some of the grammar is simply poor. A few of the facts are probably out-dated by now, and some are debatable at best. I enjoyed the randomness of the trivia (that's what trivia is all about, after all!) and found myself reading some of the blurbs aloud to my husband.
I was looking for some knowledgeable books which could provide extensive knowledge on different topics. This book is undeniably the next best thing to that. A book is a wholesome approach to gaining knowledge and simultaneously developing concentration while reading. I have been reading this book for two days and have gotten to know about more things than I did till my high school combined. The language is understandable and it is undoubtedly the best book available which enhances your knowledge about so many fields in one place. All the facts are authentic and create a lot of interest. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone who desires to extend their knowledge without piling up several books.
I have been looking for a book that could help my son with increasing attention span and simultaneously make him gain knowledge. This book is the most suitable one so far among the ones I have looked into. It is multidisciplinary and contains Facts from different kinds of fields which will benefit my son's general knowledge even more. The language is intelligible and my son has been enjoying reading it, opposite to what I had expected. My son takes a lot of interest in reading these facts and shares them with me with the same enthusiasm. The book has resolved a big issue I had been facing for the past few weeks. Not only my son, I have begun to read the book along with him and am finding it really interesting and beneficial in gaining knowledge.
I have this habit of reading in my free time, usually, I pass my time by reading various articles and blogs online. Lately, I felt that my reading time goes by in reading junk and mostly I end up learning nothing. That's when I decided to go for this book as it has been the best seller in its genre. I have to admit how proud I am of my decision to buy this book. The book has been a total game-changer for my reading habits as for the first time my reading helps me gain so much knowledge. The numerous facts given in this book are amazing and sometimes shocking as well. By the time I will complete this book, I will have little knowledge of pretty much everything. This book is a must one for everyone regardless of their age and occupation.
Friends have accused me of having a head stuffed with trivia. I call it knowing a little about a lot of things. My grandsons and I like to share dribs and drabs of facts. Those bits lead to jolly conversations which are often followed by in depth research. And scads of fun. I intend to buy a copy as a gift for one of them and I look forward to reading the series.
Great compilation of funny and WeirdButTrue information
I own lots of similar books, but this one is special, because most of the info provided is quite new. I double checked lots of the stories mentioned, and found out that they are 100% correct. Highly recommended for trivia buffs.
I love learning random facts and there were some really interesting ones in this book. Some of them were unbelievable just shows how sometimes facts are crazier than fiction. I was sharing a lot of the facts with my husband as I wanted someone to discuss it with
Incredible, fascinating, fun, humorous, highly entertaining. Recommend. The Kindle version is easier to read than the paperback print form but I'm looking for another one like this
I was surprised at a lot of that facts and didn't know most of them. It was definitely entertaining and found myself telling family members some of them as I was reading.
Read some of them else where but always good to find new, marvelous items. I also highlight interesting bits and look them up and send them to myself to investigate in depth.
A great book to read in short bursts so you can try to take in all the data. Handy to put down and take up again at any time. Great holiday read too Very interesting
This a great read for those who like interesting and fun facts. I would definitely recommend reading this book to anyone who enjoys short and to the point facts.
Please use editors and reviewers before publishing. The facts often contradict themselves within a page or two, the writing is terrible and where on earth is the country of Turkilometersenistan…
