So Good

Rate this book
Matthew

Ivy. So sweet and young, so innocent and mine, even though I was crossing a line by simply desiring her.

Forbidden. I should stay away, but in my mind, I’d already claimed her, already made the decision I couldn’t let her go.

If wanting her was wrong … I didn’t want to be right.

Ivy

I was still in high school, hadn’t even experienced the world, but I already knew who I wanted to spend my life with.

Matthew.

He was someone I could never be with, yet here I was, feeling him, touching him … being with him. It was all so perfect until it wasn’t until my father found out … until my world was turned upside down.

And through it all Matthew was there, telling me he wouldn’t give me up, wouldn’t let me go.

But could he keep that promise during the fallout?

I do so love my pallet cleanser novellas! Jenika Snow is a favorite, and this was a fun little reprieve from my major book hangover from Addie LaRue. Step-Uncle/Niece does it get any better? For some reason that’s my favorite taboo dynamic…I’m tame, I know!

𝚂𝚞𝚖𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚢: Matthew and Ivy have a relationship. Matthew is her step uncle. Ivy is his step niece. Forbidden enough? Young girl, barely nineteen and an older man. Perfect touch to forbidden. It's a battle of mind and heart to finally give in to their desires. Loving each other irrecoverably, they soon become acquainted with each other, regardless of who thinks what!

𝙼𝚢 𝚃𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜: Whenever Jenika's name pops on a cover, you know you're in for a treat.
- Instant love and attraction for a long time.
- A growly alpha male, who'd go to any lengths to claim his girl.
- A possessive and obsessive streak to backup his efforts.
- A solid story, bundle of steamy hot scenes and sugary *I love you's* finally concluded this gorgeous story.
- A character built up that eventually grows upon you consuming every fibre of your senses.

It was too good for the eyes and mind, both. A fast paced and short romance, I enjoyed this book a lot and would definitely recommend to give it a try!

Matthew and Ivy are close, their bond that of uncle and niece as he's her dad's stepbrother. When Ivy's mom passed away when she was younger, Matthew's presence became even stronger as he tried to help fill the void left behind. Lately though, Ivy has been seeing Matthew as so much more and wishing their situation was different, that there was a possibility for a future. And when Ivy's dad loses his job, Matthew doesn't hesitate to move in and c0ntribute, which makes Ivy's attempt at hiding her feelings all the harder.

Matthew hates that he wants Ivy as a man does a woman and knows that not only can it never happen, but it could rip apart his family. However, when something feels as right as being with her does, he knows he's fighting a losing battle.

When these two act on their mutual attraction, both know they shouldn't continue down that path, but one is willing to try and face the consequences, while they other is attempting to do what he thinks is best for everyone involved. However, love can only be denied for so long.

One-click now and follow along as two people destined to be together must decide if it's worth the obstacles they may face before they can get their HEA.

So Good was just as the title says, SOOOOOOO GOOD. I loved this story. It was a quick taboo story that you can devour in one sitting. It was hot, hot, hot. Matthew and Ivy burn up the pages. Jenika does it again. I suggest you pick this book up. You won’t regret it.

Enjoyed reading after a slow start for me. The story of Steven, a father raising his daughter, Ivy, after her mother dies. He doesn't look for a new love, then years later he falls in love again. He does have help from his step-brother, Matthew.
Ivy is Matthew's step-niece. She's forbidden even though they are not related. He's too old for her but, he wants her.
Ivy has been in love with her Matthew forever. She doesn't care about boys, she only wants him. She's still in high school and has only one friend, Georgia. Georgia is always trying to get her to go out to parties and Ivy always turns her down.
Ivy's dad loses his job and Matthew moves in with them to help out. When her dad finds a temp job and he will be out of town for a week, the length of the temp job...
Ivy gives into Georgia and goes to a party...

I enjoyed this story for the most part. It did start off a little slow, but we did all the angst of two people who couldn’t be together. Ivy and Matthew had hella chemistry and it was quite torturous to see when they would cave in! While it wasn’t my favorite Jenika Snow story, it still packed the steam that I’m used to getting from her. If you are looking for a quick taboo story that you can finish in one sitting, then pick this one up.

This has been on my list to read and i finally got to it!! If you don't enjoy taboos such as Step-uncle then dont read.

Ivy has been having some wired feelings everytime she sees her step-uncle she feels more weirder she's seeing him more of a guy she wants to date then a uncle, she knows its wrong but when Mathew feels the same connection they try to fight it know many would frown upon their relationship.  But they get tired of it they wanna take their relationship to the next level ;)

Steamy forbidden nights between the two until her father catches them.. and things heat up and not in a good way..

Low angst, no cheating, no ow/om, slight secondary charas, sexy times, celibate guy and virgin gal

Recomend- maybe

Jenika Snow is back with a brand new standalone novella that is steamy, swoony, and a whole lot of taboo.. forbidden. So Good was so so so so good y'all! Sexy. Sweet. Intriguing. And fast like lightening yet still feeling every little punch.

He wants her. She's been saving herself for him. They shouldn't cross lines he's drawn and they shouldn't let the boundaries blur yet neither Matthew or Ivy can help themselves and one touch is going to change everything. Together they are hypnotic, intense, beautiful, magnetic, and so so good in all the ways.

It's insta-love and warp speed romance at its absolute best.

I highly recommend this book.

So Good by Jenika Snow is a taboo romance that starts off slow but builds up to an epic climax. It's definitely full of steamy heat, drama, angst, twists, taboo romance and forbidden situations. This is a novella that you have to read. Matthew and Ivy's love is one of beauty. It was about half the book before they were even "together" because Matthew didn't want to cause trouble for Ivy. Yet Ivy knew they belonged together and then when together, it was them against everyone else. Forbidden love is so painful yet passionate and intense. This was a very good story. I just wish their was a deeper epilogue that showed how the main characters were doing down the road. Otherwise, such a fabulous novella!!

When Jenika Snow writes a book that is a "forbidden" romance , I'm right in there. Matthew is Ivy's step uncle but that doesn't stop her from wanting him. With him being her dad's step brother, she's known him most of her life but as she gets older, her feelings towards him change. Matthew is having problems with his feelings for Ivy also. He knows it's wrong but he can't help himself. How long will these two dance around each other before they give in? I just love stories like this and Jenika does some of the best one around!! Such a good book that I just couldn't put it down!! I bet you won't be able to either!

“He was Matthew, my Matthew, my best friend, my father’s step-brother. My step-uncle.”

“I didn’t want to cross that line. I didn’t want to betray the people I trusted, who trusted me, and who I loved. But I saw Ivy as a woman. I saw her as mine. “

Blurb:

Thoughts:
I love everything that author Jenika Snow publishes. If she writes it, I’m gonna read it. I read this book when it first came out and I really liked it. Then I saw it was on audible and decided why not! When I say a narrator can either ruin or bring the book to life this is the type of book I’m talking about. These two narrators did an outstanding job. They brought this book to life. It is a taboo book. Matthew is the step uncle who has been attracted to he’s step niece Ivy and vice verse. Matthew try’s to distant himself but something happens that they are thrown into each others lives fully. The story line was good. The spice was really good. Overall I enjoyed the book and the narrations.

“Now let me finally claim the only woman who has ever had my heart.”

I am a huge lover of forbidden romance and I thought that this was a very good one. Steamy, angsty and emotional, it was very easy to get pulled into Ivy and Matthew's story and to become emotionally invested in this couple. This is a mid-length read which might have been an issue but with the way the book is written and how the story unfolds it really wasn't. I felt that this couple's relationship evolved without things being rushed. I know this will be a book that some will not enjoy (a romance between a step-uncle/step-niece), so if that concept is a big turn-off for you, this is definitely Not the book for you and I recommend that you keep looking for a read you will actually be happy reading. As for me, I really enjoyed it with only one complaint. I truly wish that the whole step/forbidden/wrong angle hadn't been beaten to death over the course of the book. I believe that after the first chapters of the book this idea was crystal clear and it did not need to be brought up with practically every single thought they had about each other, or every time they shared a look, touch, kiss or romantic moment. We get it! Their relationship is taboo, move on. This audiobook features dual narration, which I always appreciate and I thought that both narrators did a excellent job.

This was a fabulous forbidden/taboo quick read. It was the story of Matthew and Ivy. 🖤Matthew was so delicious , tattooed, older, sweet, caring, just the right amount of possessive (not stalker or creepy). He was the Step-Uncle to our heroine. Ivy was gorgeous. She was senior in high school ,and for most part she was pretty mature for her age. She had lost her mom at a young age so she grew up with just her dad Stephan ,and his step-brother Matthew. As she got older she began to develop feelings for Matthew that were not feelings of a niece and uncle and more of feelings that a young woman developed for a man. They both struggled with their feelings, before they actually gave in, and were really struggling with how they would be accepted by everyone outside the bubble of just the two of them. Being that they had been in each other’s lives for her whole life they knew everything about each other. So while it appeared insta-love, it really isn’t. She was really close with her dad and they were going through some stuff. She was really excepting and understanding and hoped that he would be too when her relationship came to light as well. Overall It was a very steamy read and I really enjoyed it. * You’ve already been warned this was a step-uncle and his step-niece. So if that offends you, this is NOT the book for you. Don’t read it and then give the author a bad rating because you read it and then complain (about the step-uncle/niece thing)you’ve been warned multiple times!! (Sorry pet peeve of mine)It’s in the blurb and I just reiterated it here too! This book has everything you could want in a taboo treat. It’s hot, forbidden, steamy, with a HEA. Happy reading! 🖤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
* I read an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion .

Ok , I have no problem with fake taboo books, like no blood relatives and so but in the begining of the book, it says that our H watched our h from little child which I found distrubing, although he states that had though of her as a woman when she turned 18... so, being legal changed his feeling after watching a child growing up her whole life? That's fucked up! That my 2 cents! Everything else was a known trope!

So deliciously taboo and I loved it!

This book was taboo, sexy and absolutely delicious. Ivy has loved Matthew for as long as she can remember. The kind of love she feels has changed over the years and now she doesn't just love him, she's in love with him. Only problem is that he is her step-uncle and she's barely nineteen. Matthew has been fighting what he feels for Ivy ever since she turned eighteen. He knows loving her is taboo and some would even consider it wrong, but he can't help it and he's done fighting his feelings. He just hopes his step-brother, Ivy's father, can see that they love each other and they won't be kept apart. Grab this fabulous taboo read today to find out what happens when these to come together!!!

If you like your books a little taboo, a touch dirty but oh so good then this is the book for you. Matthew and Ivy are family but not by blood, he has watched her grow from a young child into a beautiful young woman. The love and attraction they feel should be wrong but what happens when it all feels so right. As lines are crossed and love declared can these two show all the people around them that matter, that something so perfect shouldn't be judged. A hot steamy romance that will have you caught up in the web of lust, love and mayhem that surround them.

Great plot, no depth.

It has a good premise but poor execution. The characters seem superficial, at no point do you even figure out what the father does for a living, why Matthew and Ivy love each other, I mean great they love each other but what do they love about the other person? They never say! There’s no real depth to the characters, just the very basest of emotion. I wouldn’t read this again or suggest that someone read it. Would give it one star but it does have a good plot to it.

Loved

This story was so good! Ivy and Matthew have been in each other's lives for what feels like forever. He's her father's step brother. Family. Taboo. But they can't help their feelings and act upon them. Will they be able to handle the consequences? Loved this story. Loved these characters. Ivy and Matthew were so real and I felt like I was right there feeling what they felt.

Sooo Good

This was an awesome book a little more serious than Jenika's light hearted love stories Ivy and Matthew are related, sort of, and having a relationship from their love is just a little bit different. I have read step brother, father's best friend, but never a step uncle. This was a new plot that was great.

And So Perfect!

Matthew has been Ivy's family and protector out of necessity since her family's loss. He's older, caring, and her step-uncle. But she's slowly fallen in love with him. What she doesn't know is that Matthew feels the same. But will they be able to weather the storm brewing from their relationship?!

Good story

Matthew & Ivy were a couple in the truest sense of the word! They both loved each other AND they were aware of how their actions might affect others. I just wasn’t sure their familial relationship needed to keep them apart. It wasn’t even a blood relationship!! I’m glad it had my essential HEA or HFN. Sweet story!
