I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy of this book and now am luxuriating in reading it a second time! If you are human, you need to read this book! Although women may relate to it more, Lindsey Hale's message looks at how we make decisions in our day to day life and is vital to everyone as we navigate our busy/hectic lives. Our culture seems to place an emphasis the idea that busy = important, yet in all of our scheduling and running, we often end up on missing out on the moments in life that will truly make our hearts sing. Lindsey Hale's premise, that we often are stuck in a pattern of making decisions from a position of Fear, Obligation, and/or Guilt, rings true in every way. When we ask ourselves why we are choosing to add one more thing to an already packed routine, we begin to step back from the mundane and give ourselves room to grow into the exceptional. Hale's writing style is relaxed, conversational, and honest. The book is not long, but her stories are vibrant and powerful.
I had the privilege of reading an advanced copy of this book. You’ll definitely want to add this to your library.
I’m certain everyone can say they’ve done things in their life at one time or another out of fear, obligation or guilt. And Lindsey has an incredible message encouraging you to not live in the FOG and to find the freedom to love the life God designed just for you! I enjoyed how Lindsey wove personal stories into the application of each chapter and was encouraged that this definitely a journey and not a destination.
