Widow

If I didn't love her, I would kill her. I'd kill her for so much, but mostly for hiding my kid from me. For up and running, and choosing to keep my daughter out of my life. She doesn't just belong to Melody. She's mine too, and Melody doesn't get to keep her to herself.

She said she ran because of me, because of what I did.

I can't blame her for that.

I fucked up and I might have lost the most important woman in my life, but I refuse to lose my daughter. Not when we haven't even had a chance.

Will fighting for my daughter lead me to winning back my girl's heart? I loved her for years and I always will. The only thing is, Melody doesn't exist anymore.

Only Rebel Rose does, and she's nothing like I expect.

Okay, so I didn't understand most of what this reviewer said (lost in translation and all that...), but the gist is the scumbag Zero cheats on heroine with her best friend, heroine leaves and finds she is pregnant. Years later, Zero who has been with the bestie all these years, finally breaks up with her because he found out she aborted their kid.

This leads him to a reunion with heroine who of course now is the love of his life and he has never forgotten her (yeah, right! *rolls eyes*) and to finding out he has a daughter that he did not know of. Which pisses him off because "how DARE she keep that from him when he was too busy at the time banging her BFF)! And yes folks, HEA.

Ya gotta love all these reviewers who said this was a "beautiful/sweet love story"! Oh lordy! Are people this dumb???!!!

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

UPDATE: So others have stated that with all that crap, Hero & heroine don't even end up together and they both are with OP in this story. So why the heck would I want to read a story about a cheating douchebag and a non-love story? Did author forget that this is marketed as a "Romance"? Shouldn't it be about romance then because from what I can see, there's absolutely zero of that in this story!

1 ⭐- Ugh! Didn't like it or triggers or pet peeve!
======================================
SPOILER

The synopsis is misleading and the supposed heroes stay with other people in the end, nor does it show their supposed romance ... it starts with his cheating and then with another woman. She has sex scenes with another man too. It served to fill in the letter W of the challenge only, because it was very bad.

==>cheater scumbag<==
Fuck my life seriously. He’s not the only one who’s drunk. I set my purse down on the couch and walk to our bedroom door. The lights are off, and since it’s still winter, it’s pretty dark out here. I don’t think either of them can see me, but I see the silhouettes of their bodies in our bed. Amara is riding him, his mouth on her tits.

==>best friend... wtf<==
He slept with my best fucking friend.

==>sex OM - daddy kink<==
He keeps his thumb on the butt plug, making sure it’s nice and cozy inside me. Meanwhile, he’s sunk two fingers in my pussy, easing them in and out. “You think it’s hot to defy your daddy, don’t you?”

==>Yuck! sex OM<==
“Daddy, put your cock in my ass!”

==>WTF!<==
Damon’s expression goes to something that looks sincere, to downright furious. “Is that a fucking joke? Dude. You cheated on her with club whores, and then my fucking sister. The girl who happened to be her best friend.”

==>Amara (aka best friend)<==
My phone buzzes again, over and over. As I look down at it, I see Amara is calling me and I put it to my ear as I make my way out of the club. “Where the f-fuck are you?” She hisses, but I hear the choking sound in her voice.

“Did you know your good ol’ Pops uses Amara as a punching bag anytime he gets drunk? He’s been doing it for years, Damon. For fuckin’ years I had to stand by and be there and not interfere. He’s no longer my Prez, so I don’t give a fuck what happens to me. I give a fuck about what happens to her, though, even with everything that happened. She’s not ever gonna feel unsafe around the one man that was always supposed to protect her. Instead, he hurt her the most outta everyone.” I

Sometimes, I think I know Amara even better than she knows herself.
“Well, you hid the fact you were pregnant and went and got an abortion. If you hid that, you’re bound to be hiding other shit.” I can’t help but allow my anger to come through at full force. It might be wrong for me to speak to her in the manner that I am, but she enrages me beyond anything I’ve ever imagined.
“Jesus. Leave it alone. It’s done and over with. Why keep bringing it up?”
“Because what you did was wrong! Do you not see that? That kid wasn’t just yours, Amara. He or she was mine too and it deserved to live.”

Amara takes in a deep breath before she chastely kisses me on the lips. “I love you in more ways than you can ever imagine, but we were never supposed to be here. Our love wasn’t ever written in the stars, but Melody and yours was. You may not see it this way, but I love you so much that I pushed you away, straight back into her arms.”

==>Yeah!<==
Some were born into it, while others choose to walk into a club and become a prospect, or even a clubwhore. I was neither. I was just the dumb, faithful girlfriend of the club manwhore. He wasn’t always that way, though. Just when I was with him.

Fucking douchebag. He wanted to catch me off guard like this so I wouldn’t be prepared. Motherfucker! “It’s Rebel. Melody is dead.”

“It’s Rebel,” I snap, grabbing my drink, I throw the glass at him. He ducks and the glass hits the beam a couple of feet behind him.
“Whoa! You’re gonna pay for that!” Lara hollers my way.
I cock my head back at her. “No, my cheating baby daddy is gonna pay for that, just like he’s gonna pay for whatever the fuck else I decide to break up in this joint, bitch!”

He walks away from me, heading towards the door of the bar and turns back, giving me a sinister smile. “Oh, and Melody. If you try to run, I will fucking kill you.”

==>OW?????? wtf! <==
“You said you’d shoot my heart, not my arm.” I snarl back at her. She’s at least a foot shorter than me, but doesn’t even flinch as I scream in her face.
“No matter, I’ll chew your heart up and spit it out for dinner, love.” Fuck, I’ve never had a woman speak to me with such fire before. There’s something invigorating and annoying about it at the exact same time.

“Fuck, woman! I just want to know your name.”
I hear her laugh behind her mask, “Tania, but you can call me Sphynx.”

Tania, or Sphynx … I’m not really sure what to call her at this point. Well, she’s unlike any other woman I’ve ever been around. She’s got attitude and lots of it. She’s the type of woman who can defend herself, which is makin’ my cock twitch.

“You look like you’re havin’ a wet dream standin’ up,” Hawk cackles as we stand in front of the incinerating compound.
“Maybe. Who the fuck knows. That girl … Tania.”

I’ve fucked boring bitches my entire life and I don’t wanna keep doing it.

I grin, thinking about the things I want to do to this woman. I wanna lay her out over the pool table and slam my cock into her pussy while my brother’s watch. I wanna splatter her out across the island in one of the trailers and shove my cock down her throat while I feast on her pretty, pink pussy. Just thinking about it makes my cock hard.

I take her shorts and shimmy them down, shooting my uninjured hand right to her center. Ah, just like I thought. “You’re dripping wet,” I move my lips right next to her ear and whisper what I’ve thought about doing all night long. “I keep thinking about sinking my cock into that wet cunt of yours.”
The grabs me by the face and digs her claws into my skin, “Stop thinking and just do it. Or are you a pussy bitch?”
I free my cock from the confines of my jeans and slam myself into her. Fuck! This bitch is tight.

I pull my cock free and play with her clit hard and fast, making her squirt for me. Fuck, if I wasn’t attracted to her before, I sure am now. I can’t wait to make this girl squirt for me again.

“Take it all, Tania, and get used to it. This won’t be the last time my cock is in your mouth.”

==>Yeah! Piece of shit Zero<==
“He’s a piece of shit if I’ve ever seen one.” Nikolai tells me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
“Yep, and you don’t even know the half of it.” I murmur, leaning my head against him.

==>Amara the backstabbing bitch aka best friend<==
I know that this shit isn’t easy for either of us. Her and I …shit, our relationship only formed because of a selfish act, which led to us relying on one another. We only got together because we had no one else and we’ve been doing this shit for years. I may love Amara in a way, but I’m not in love with her, not in the way a man should love a woman. Honestly, I think I can say the same about her. I think it was a little different for Amara, though.

==>Zero is a dumb shit<==
“I heard you were flirting with one of the Jackal’s anyway,” Amara lets out a soft laugh, and I can’t tell if it bothers her or not.
I don’t know why, but I’m so concerned about her feelings. It’s probably because we were together for a while, but I’ve always viewed her more as a friend than anything. “Is that alright?”

Things feel awkward between us and I doubt that will go away. She isn’t just anyone. She’s one of my longest friends who turned into something a little more, who then ended up aborting my child.

==>Tania aka Sphynx or OW... maybe????? <==
I’m happy the Jackal’s aren’t leaving, but for an entirely different reason. This just means I get to be around Tania a bit more, and I’ll take her as much as I can get her.

“I know your type, and none of you are any different. You’re only good for a good romp in the sack if you ask me.”
“Aw, sweetie. Just you wait. I’m gonna have you wrapped around my little finger in no time.” I make the promise to her and wait for a reaction, but I don’t get one. She simply stares at me and I’m left wondering if there is a smile hidden behind that mask of hers.
This woman is a challenge. One that I plan on overcoming at that.

In the meantime, I’ve had a few conversations with Tania. I say Tania because I refuse to call her Sphynx. Everyone else might, but this woman knows I’m my own man.

I promised her that I’d never disrespect her, getting the idea that’s what she meant. I’ll say that I think she was shocked that I made the promise to her, but I don’t get the idea she thinks I meant it. I did, though. I meant every word.

I’m just chalking it up as wanting to treat a woman right after all these years.

After Melody left … I wanted things to work with Amara, but that was a relationship we fell into.

Melody, or Rebel on the other hand … I don’t foresee either of us being friends. Friendly? Why, yes. We have a daughter to raise together and I won’t allow any sort of toxic shit around her.

==>Nikolai aka OM???? maybe????<==
“I’m starting to fall more in love with you every single day, Nikolai.” I confess my feelings, something that I haven’t even given him the smallest indication of. I didn’t think I’d say anything for a while … but tonight it felt right.

==>Tania aka OW<==
Unzipping my pants, I pull my cock free and bury myself deep inside her soaked pussy. She puts up a fight with me most days, but I know she fucking wants me. Why else would she banter with me? Why else would I catch her checking me out? The woman knows she wants me, and she’ll need to fuckin’ admit it soon.

The only thing I’m concerned with right now is ramming my cock so far up into her cunt that she squirts all over this table. I pull myself out of her and slam back into her pussy time and time again. I can see from the way she bites her bottom lip that she’s trying to hold back her moans, but she can’t. She’s enjoying this too much.

I lean over her body, and whisper in her ear, “You can let go anytime you want to sweetheart. Just know, I’m filling that pussy of yours up with my come and you’re gonna take it all. I’m claiming you as mine, marking you as my bitch, my property, my kitten, because there’s never been another woman that has aggravated me as much as you have. You keep me on my toes, darlin’ and I plan on keepin’ you around for a long time. Now tell me, is it the same for you?”

“Tania, for once just be straight with me. Do you want what I want?”
“Okay, caveman. You realize I have no bloody fuckin’ clue what you want because you don’t ever tell me!” She throws her hands up in the air, “If you want something, use your words!”
“Fine!” I charge up to her, snaking one hand behind her waist while I grab her throat with the other, pinning her against one of Melody’s cars. “I want you to be my bitch, my ride or die. I want you to be my girl and see where this goes. I’m not proposin’ marriage or any of that crazy shit, but I fuckin’ want you, woman.”

==>WTF moment...<===
Melody and I are going to co-parent our little girl with our significant others, and everything is gonna be just fine.

SPOILERS**

This book was KU so I skimmed it, and like the main couple dont even end up together which is good I guess, because he was a piece of shit, as was the best friend he cheated on her with. Any guesses why he did it? Step down put in your guesses. If you guessed FOR HER OWN GOOD, you are the winner!! 🙄 He fell for her best friend, dated her for years, and then another woman in the book, the heroine at least met a guy who worshipped her and she got to have sex with him! So I guess its better than most books allow.

How this book was in any way heartwarming or emotional is beyond me. No depth, just gross ppl doing gross things and throwing words around like "love" etc when they obviously have no clue what that means 😂

DNF Thank God for spoilers. The H and h don’t end up together. I started searching for spoilers when I’m 35% in and the mcs haven’t reconnected. I like cheating books but this was bland. I would call it a mamby pamby book trying to be badass. I think this book would have been better if it had centered on Melody/Rebel and Nikolai as the MC’s. I thought the widow character was boring and I could care less about him and his doings—he wasn’t developed like a Jamie Begley manwhore cheater. He has 3 relationships in this book and despite that it’s bland and the opportunity for angst was wasted. When the mc’s don’t end up together and there’s no grovel you get a bland flat book. Oh yeah and I guess the author forgot how she told us Melody was Widows once in a lifetime love and all that… maybe she thought that was a clever plot twist???

Are you fucking kidding me? THE GUY IS A DISGUST CHEATER THAT F*CK WITH HER BEST FRIEND (days after being caught having sex with a club whore) !!!!Oh, and to spare those who think this may have been a misunderstanding, he CONTINUED TO FUCK WITH HER FOR YEARS AND YEARS UNTIL SHE GETS PREGNANT (BUT THE SNAKE MADE ABORTION). AND DO YOU THINK HE ASK EXCUSED WHEN HE FOUND HEROIN AFTER ALL THIS YEARS? NO!!! JUST DEMANDED THAT HE WANTED TO SEE HIS DAUGHTER AND AFTER THAT WAS FUCK ANOTHER WOMAN WITHOUT ANY SECOND THINKING TO HER OR HIS DAUGHTER. Is not it cute? VEEEEEERY ROMANTIC!!! And then comes the old apology that went to her goodness !!! So, after all this sh*t is clear that the cretin deserves to have his happy ending, doesn't he?? AND IS THAT A GREAT BOOK ?! ARE THOSE WOMEN CRAZING ?! MY GOD WHERE IT IS THE SELF RESPECT OF THESE PEOPLE ??? THIS IS RIDICULOUS, REVOLTING, UNACCEPTABLE, UNFORGIVEN, AND THE GUY STILL HAD THE COURAGE OF BEING BURIED BECAUSE SHE DID NOT SAID THAT SHE WAS PREGNANT ??? I'm sorry but if he thought that was not enough for her, he had reason, not for her, nor for the poor child who does not deserve to have a garbage as a parent! I NEVER AGAIN TO GET THROUGH A BOOK OF THAT AUTHOR. MY SENSATION CONTINUES BEING SOME AUTHORS PREFER TO HAVE GOOD FRIENDS WHO PRAISE YOUR GARBAGE THAN KNOW THE TRUTH. So, congratulations. You managed to arouse strong emotions, but you lost a reader, was it worth it?

Merged review:

I have no idea what happened, I don't know if there are two publications of the same book in this site. I only know that in one is my review and much others and in another is not. As I like to know if there is something I don't like in a book before reading, I put here a copy that I wrote months ago. I suggest to goodreads that review this publication as this seems a bit dishonest for readers who post their views, though not always favorable and for those who seek honest opinions.

WOWWWWWW. This story was not AT ALL what I expected, but it was 100% everything I needed. This has got to be one of my favorite books of Elizabeth's so far! What I really loved is just how complete the story was. We truly got all of our answers about Willow and Rebel/Melody and I loved that!!!

So let's start with Widow. I was super confused by him in the last book. I couldn't understand why he cheated, what was up with the weird game with Amara, and we knew next to nothing about him. Everything we knew from Amara at the end of Booger had me SO DAMN CURIOUS. I was really happy to finally get the whole truth in this book. I was also super happy at how Widow treated the situation. Between that, his new "Friend" and seeing him with his daugher, I'm totally loving on Widow lol. I know he's a bad mamajama, but I could care less hahaha

Now Melody, holy hell did she surprise me!! I LOVE the life she lives now. We had a few really interested curve balls with her and her life too. The best was the man that came into her life. This book is full of twists and turns and surprise characters. I love how that happens, and we got quite a few with Melody. She is such a badass woman and an amazing mom, from the moment she was introduced the book I adored her!

Another big part of the book was the things that were going on with the club and other MC's. I loved the drama and the combat, it was so good!!! There were also so many things we found about about crazy family connections too. I loved how we got to find more info about Damon, his sister and Widow's family. I cannot wait to see where she takes this!!! There are so many different directions it can go. I'm going to be waiting on my toes for the next book!!!!

I accepted to read Widow in exchange for an honest review from the author. It does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

OH MY GOD! Y'ALL THIS BOOK! Such a unique and different love story, but in the best way! It was a breath of fresh air. Yes, I will tell you right now to ease your questions - it does have an HEA, it's just not a typical love story. But it is worth it, I promise!

OH AND! NOT TO MENTION, SHE'S A SINGLE MOM! This is my CRACK when it comes to books. If a kid is involved or a pregnancy, I'm all about it!!!

“"You're beautiful inside and out, but the most beautiful part of you Rebel is the fact you're a mother."”

I have become obsessed with the Reapers MC gang!!! I have been curious about Widow since he was introduced. I wouldn't necessarily say he's my favorite member, but I really enjoyed getting to see his past and who he really is!

“What our enemies don't realize is that when they hurt one of us, they hurt all of us. We're like a pack of wolves. One won't come for you. The entire pack will.”

If y'all have not started this series, you must! I recommend reading Blackjack first and reading in order. This is one of those series that is preferred that you read in order.

don’t know why I bothered

When I read book three I was like, nope not gonna bother reading any more in this series. It just does not make sense to me. I decided to give it one more try and I am over here shaking my head after reading book four wondering why I even bothered. I am being generous with the three stars. Other may love this series but not me.

Holy hotness, this story blew me away!!

Widow has been apart of the Brotherhood MC for years now and is one of the chosen ones to start a joint chapter in Vegas but of course once there things get a bit... crazy. When he is faced with his past his whole world changes.

Rebel left home a few years ago after finding out she was pregnant and her boyfriend was cheating on her. Years later she runs into not one but two people from her past that hurt her more than anything. Will she be able to trust the one who hurt her the most or will it all backfire in her face??

This story is different from others by Elizabeth Knox and it’s my absolute favorite. Elizabeth has a way of keeping me on the edge of my seat, laughing until my sides hurt and tears threatening to fall. She is definitely a triple threat author and one I look forward to reading a lot more from. 🖤🔥☠️🔥🖤

Ok so this was totally not what or how I thought this book would go... omg it was soooo good!!!

When Rebel (melody) comes home from work only to discover her BF and her BFF in the act... she bolts... only then to discover she is having a baby.. with said BF.. Fast forward several years.. She is back in town... how is Widow going to take it finding out they had a baby and she kept it from him?

This book was so different than others I’ve read.. so was not expecting it to go the way it did..

I have to agree with the other reviews on this one. I’m all for a cheating book, no trigger against it but it was just blah. There was no substance to the book. Was H a Zero SOB yes, but I went into it knowing there was cheating and that’s not what bugged me. There was no closer for the H & h. I’m happy they found others and they were happy but there was just so much that could have given this book bones and depth it was just lacking for me

I think this was my last for this author. Widow was disgusting. No, I don't think she should have hidden the child but I'm sure he would have bulldozed her into staying with his cheating ass. Her best friend was extremely selfish in what she did to Widow. I think she knew he'd never be faithful but that's why you take birth control and wear a condom. It just wasn't for me but others may like it.

IT IS SO BAD, I WANNA GIVE U A ZERO. BUT THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE, SO I GIVE U A ONE. lol

i was so close to just stopping as soon as i read widow's first pov bc what a f*cking assh*ole first of all lol. the summary was def misleading as the two mains don't even get together in the end (which, i'm glad bc Rebel deserved a much better man than widow and Nikolai was so <333 love him he was the one good thing in this book). widow talks about how he "pushed melody/rebel away because she deserved better" and literally never once apologized for f*cking rebel's best friend or gave rebel closure. him and said best friend, amara, dated for a while and they described it as falling into their own punishment... like that's not punishment that's a choice lol. ALSO literally the first thing widow does when he sees rebel again is to fckn DEMAND to see his daughter AND threaten rebel.. like what fckn right do u have??? anyways, rebel and widow end up with two different people, there isn't rlly any romantic development either, it just kinda appears (for rebel and nikolai) and widow and the girl he 'ends up with', tania, started f*cking each other and he likes her bc doesn't take his bullshit or whatever (WHICH i find so like ???? bc there are a couple of times in the book, in widow's pov, where he describes rebel and amara as being naive and basically implying they didn't have balls, like what the fuck lol). he literally asks tania to be his bitch at the end 💀 i'm sorry.. im just heated af like i've never felt the need to leave a review like this im just pissed 😭

Just NO!!!!!!! On every level

Waste of time. He cheated on her and cheats again with her best friend. On top of that has a relationship with the girl he cheated with. Supposedly so the to had each other to get three all the bad shit they did and had going on. What a crock of shit! So the heroine is pregnant and leaves both their lying, cheating asses ( good for her!) Then the stupid bitch he cheated with gets pregnant aborted he's baby because she didn't want him not spend time with her kid cuz he had another and thought he'd want it more than hers. Of he remains with her after even though hes made. Then he finds out about the other kid and suddenly he love it and wants to be with it. In the meantime he treats heroin like shit decide to have a relationship with another woman who he roughly screws in front of everyone. But it's ok because obviously these women have no self respect for themselves. The heroine falls in love with another guy who isn't a dirt bag so good for her. I really don't understand why these authors write these books degrading women so badly. Is this how they see their selves? I'm really am I the only person to see how not ok these books are. Yes their fictional books, but also put your self in them as you read them. So why such degrading disrespect toward women.

This is a messy love story, because it talks about the past of the two main characters in the book. Widow and Melodia were a young couple when they got together, and he cheated on her with her best-friend and she left not telling him she was pregnant with his kid. Mind you I am not a person of the mind frame of cheating men deserving a second chance, but at the same time keeping the information of being pregnant with the guys kid not great either. Regardless on how much of a douche the guy was he had the right to know at least he was having a child. That didn't mean she had to be with him. Now, Melodia and full grown woman with an eight year daughter and continued with her life, as well as widow did. Yes, they don't end together, because they both are two different people now then they were eight years ago. She falls in love with a good man that treats like a queen and Widow finds a woman that is strong, very outspoken woman. This mainly about growth of this two people, and just because they were in love with each other at certain points of their lives doesn't mean they are good together, or just because they share a child.

Some suspense and action in this story. I couldn't decide if I liked Widow, Amera or Melody to be honest, I don't think any of them behaved that well to each other either in the past or the present. I found it slightly confusing. The plot was a continuation of the build up for the MC, so that was fairly good and the saving point of the story really. As much as I want to find out the outcome of the battles I just don't know if I want to invest more in the characters, some in the earlier books had strength and the plots were more gritty but this one had me thinking they needed to grow up. Widow seemed so uninvested in either of the two he had long term relationships with and treated them like crap for the most part and then changed focus out of the blue. I just didn't find it held my attention that much, though I did love Zoe. This book completes the box set I was reading it as part of so prices on future books possibly define if I continue or not.

Awesome Series!

Widows story is very different from the other stories so far in this series. This book does not have the HEA you might expect but rather leaves the story open ended. Widow is a very complex character and there is much more to him. Finding out he has a daughter puts his life into a different perspective all together. Even though he is angry that Melody kept his daughter from him for years he is determined to coparent and be a great dad to Zoe. With Melody being in a new relationship and him coming closer to Tania they all find common ground to be friends. This story is not over yet and I would love to learn more about Nickolai.
This series is amazing and so gripping. There is the perfect amount of mayhem and a great dose of sexy alpha bikers to make this series a page turner. The women are not weak by any means and are very strong individuals in their very own way. It's a perfect combination and a must read.

I’m so sad because I was really disappointed in this book. I enjoyed Rebel’s point of view except for the end when she was so rude to Amara. Like Amara wasn’t the only one who screwed her over yet she took all the blame for it. I don’t think that was right when she was the vulnerable one in the initial incident.
I wanted Widow and Amara to end up together. I don’t like that he found another girl and Amara was left heartbroken and without a child. She sacrificed everything her child and best friend and now has nothing while Widow gets to run off into the sunset with his daughter and new woman.
So I was just made because if anybody deserved nothing in this book I thought it was Widow. So I was really disappointed because the book started off good but the closer I got to the end the more I hurried to finish it just so I could be done with Widow.

my absolute favorite yet, however I may say this over and over about Elizabeth books!! Never am I disappointed when reading the Reapers books, if anything I am always mind blown by the drama, the suspense and the violence.

Willow has always confused me with his ways and I couldn't ever figure out what was going on with him. As for Rebel or Willow as she was known, she is a bombshell and a total bad ass!!!! I love her and her life that she created. She was so strong for doing what she had to for her daughter and she is even stronger for what she does when Rebel wants back in her life. SO addictive!! You get all the answers to your questions here and that is amazing.

a dud for me.

I didn’t know which way to go with this book. There were too many characters intimately involved with the main characters who are supposed to end up together. The only thing is I didn’t like any of the character. I skipped this book for a while. I read Zane and was fine with the extra people in the relationship, but this right here. Half way through the book you don’t see how the hero and the heroine is going to get together. I stopped reading half way through. Had I read this first, I wouldn’t have read another. This is literally everything thrown in including the kitchen sink.

A great read by Ms. Knox.
A great story of a guy trying to do the right thing the wrong way. Long ago he pushed her away, so that she could have the live he thought she deserved, but did it the wrong way by messing with her best friend. She left and took a small piece of him when she left.
Fastforward, she’s back and he’s still hung up on her,but still in a benefits relationship with the bestie.
They fight, they hurt each other, but in the end they find love with other people but are trying to be friends for their little price of the future.

Good read

Widow is the 4th book in the Reapers MC and so far turned out to be my favorite.!! Halfway through the book you realize this book is not your typical two people from the past reunite and get back together story but it does have a H.E.A regardless. Even though you can read this as a standalone you get more out of it if you read all the previous books since not only does each book have the romance of the main couple but also a larger storyline throughout all the books that ties everything together.

I did not expect this book to end the way it did. That said, it was a good read and once I sat back and thought about it, it ended exactly the way it should have. The pain that Widow and Rebel/Melody have gone through and are going through because of mistakes they both made in the past, is huge. You want to feel for both of them. Add in the danger for the new MC chapter, from new and old enemies, and then a new bf, a new woman, and a child, and you get an emotional read that has you wanting to rail at them and love with them.

Okay...not what I was expecting

If you are thinking this is a second chance romance, which is what I thought, then prepare to be disappointed. It is not, and the cover is misleading. The people on the cover don’t end up together, but the heroine does end up with a true Hero, just not the H in this book. I haven’t read any of the other books in this series and I don’t plan to. In truth, I would have just preferred a book about Nikolai and Rebel. All the other biker stuff was boring.
