Nathan K #8

Prisoner

Rate this book
Nathan K -- he can hold two souls in his body. If he dies, he loses one yet lives on with the other. As long as he replenishes his second soul, he cannot be killed. Nathan K is immortal.

BREAKOUT

After a year keeping a low profile in England, Nathan is eager to end his wait on Eternity, eager for Robin to return to hacking for him, eager for a fight. But he should be careful what he wishes for. When he learns of an Immortal being held prisoner in a converted castle, he helps a ragtag group led by an ex-Eternity agent to stage a jailbreak and ends up with a fight greater than anything he could imagine.

Because in the world of Immortals, rarely is anything what it seems. Especially when Nathan learns that the Cardinal is involved.

Another Prime!

Prisoner (Nathan K book 8) by Stuart Jaffe brings back the Cardinal but we meet another Prime! Another exciting, action packed, soul swapping Immortal adventure! I love the whole plot and fantasy idea of these books!

Nathan has been hiding his Immortality from Robin, and knows he will eventually have to tell her his big secret. He wants to do it on his terms. While on a mission with a new ally (not so much of an ally at the start), his secret is in jeopardy of being revealed. We meet a new Prime immortal, with a very nasty disposition. If you thought the Cardinal was bad, this new one is even worse. Most of the book Nathan K is down to one soul and on the edge of death due to his deal with his new ally. Very intense story, keeps you reading till the wee hours, only to have it end, leaving you wanting more.

I received a free or reduced copy of this book for a fair and impartial review. This has in no way affected the review.

Nathan K has always intrigued me, and, as I’ve said before, I just love the platonic relationship he has with Robin. In this latest, some secrets come to light that are long overdue, and it changes things. And, I was excited to see another change at the end of the book. This should be interesting! Not only that, I do admit to a little excitement at seeing the Cardinal again. This is going to get interesting in the next book. If you are a fan of this series already, you’ll love this one. Give this series a try if you haven’t already, though; it’s fun! Highly recommend both the book and the series!

This story is full of action and suspense. Robin has not been working in a safe place. Nathan gets kidnapped. The Cardinal is involved. Nathan is left with one soul. How is he going to get out of this? Will Robin be caught spying? Will Nathan be able to save himself? Get a copy and come along on this rollercoaster ride! This is one of Stuart's best. A well constructed plot and very well written.
I voluntarily received a copy of this book and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.

Nathan's most intense moral dilemma, and personal relationships battle. And more...
Non-stop action, and intrigue. Having crawled into Nathan's world, I could not put this down. I tried to help Nathan but he doesn't listen to me.
