Encounters In Disguise

Rate this book
Dating in this decade is not for the faint of heart. From going on a date with a guy secretly lusting after my best friend to nearly dying in Central Park ... I've been there, done that. And I'm over it!Trying to shift my focus to my career as a high school psychologist proves difficult when I come head-to-head with a student's grumpy uncle. He has an old-money arrogance, refuses to back down, and, the worst part, he's handsome and chasing after my attention.Even if I wanted to date him, that's strictly prohibited at Riverside Academy. In an effort to find some hope between love and losing my career, I agree to meet my coworker's mysterious aunt for relationship guidance. And that's how I end up asking for a bees. Will those bees bring sweetness or sting harder than I ever imagined?**Encounters In Disguise is book 2 in The Signs Series - a series of interconnected contemporary romance standalones. You can start from Eve's journey but I recommend reading Juliette's in book 1, Fortunate No bees were harmed in the making of this novel. And when you start to see them everywhere, the author is not to be blamed.Author's Eve, working as a high school psychologist, will have several scenes helping a student who is self-harming.

I'm an indie author who is also a huge bookworm. I write in several sub-genres: contemporary romance and romantic comedy ... all spicy with plots.

My heroines do not need to be saved & won't settle for less. When they fall in love, they fall in love hard.

Outside of writing, I am a rescue dog mom who is obsessed with fitness, shoes, personal development and running online businesses.

I'd love to be friends on social media! Please send me a message. <3

It's hard to keep a straight face or a heavy heart when a Passarelli novel is close at hand. With a sense of humor that won't quit and irresistible characters that touch the heart, it's easy to see why Encounters in Disguise is a MUST HAVE. Less than perfect proves to be just the right fit for my favorites shelf.

BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN!!!

This is my second book of Mrs.Passarelli and i LOVED IT!
This is a total package story.Everything that you will want is inside of the book.
While reading the books, actually.I'm thinking why this writer is underrated when her books are awesome and really really good!

Eve is one hell of a woman.I like her sass.I like her perception and everything. And i adore everything about her. And James- James is the exact alpa-hole that will make you feel annoyed at the samet time wet-( I mean giddy) and i fell in love with Witch and Batman! (soo cuteee)

I love the way Mrs.Passarelli played both characters.Sooo goood!

This is the second book in this series, and this is James and Eve’s story. Eve is sassy and stubborn, and she is a high school psychologist, who is struggling with her love life. James is wealthy and mysterious, and a student’s uncle, and fate has destined Eve to keep crossing paths with him.
This is a good story which is easy to read, with humor, romance, suspense, intrigue, and love, which leads to an enjoyable page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

B

After meeting Eve in the last sign series book, I totally wanted to know if her dating life improved. Then she meets batman and pool boy and I couldn't decide who I want her to be with! It was a hard choice but I'm glad that she fought for who she wanted and that he realised she was it for him as well. A fun read with of course Aunt Edie making the universe and voodoo-ing us to fall in love with their love story!

Eve and James

This book had a great storyline. But I felt like I got a lot of one part but could have given more in other parts. It is very rushed. James and Eve have some steamy moments. I guess I wanted more? I feel the Eve’s character for being 29 was very childish, and I felt James was kind of past alpha and straight a$$ hole. The happy ending for them both was good.

Another great addition to the Signs series. How Eve and James meet is cute, I did know where things were headed earlier on but was still a fun read. Cat has a way of making alpha-hole guys still sexy and desirable. I love that all her female characters are stubborn if not straight bullish on their opinions. If you are looking for quick easy reads I highly recommend.

First was bunnies & now the bees! I didn’t know what to expect with the “signs” part of the series (from the blurbs) but thought it was unique to a romance novel & a fresh take.

I thought this was such a cute read! I was lost in James and Eve's lives. Eve is more quiet and reserved than some of her other friends and she's content. But friends want to set her up. However, she finds herself at Juliette's Aunt Edie's house. She's not exactly sure how Aunt Edie is supposed to help, but she's a trip! I found myself laughing out loud. And Eve isn't supposed to get involved with relatives of her students. But James keeps pushing his way into her life. While it wasn't all good, I wanted them to date! I liked their chemistry and enjoyed their interactions. I liked their journey and the way they complemented each other. This was a very enjoyable book and I highly recommend it! And while you don't need to read Fortunate Encounters first, I do recommend it!

I loved this book! I couldn't wait to go home, sit and read. I actually would read it during my lunch break while at work as well. The characters are so relatable and you can't help but love them. I laughed out loud and could relate to Eve on a personal level. She is a school psychologist with amazing friends who just want what is best for her and even try to set her up. When she goes to see Juliette's Aunt Edie, she asks for a sign in one of the funniest scenes I've ever read, and she gets her sign. Let it be a lesson, if you ask for a sign, you'll get a sign!

Very quick read that is hard to put down!

This book will make you laugh. What drew me in, was that Eve, who is the main female is funny and very sassy. James is also very funny and witty. The two main characters are just a hoot. You will absolutely fall in love with Aunt Edie and all of their friends too. When I am looking for a good book, I would rather be laughing my butt off. This book really did make me laugh a lot. If you are looking for a funny and witty romance book, this would be a great book to read.

Loved the story of Eve and James! I couldn't put it down. The detailed description of the characters and places made it easy for me to immerse myself in the storyline. I also was pleasantly surprised when the characters from Caterina's other books made appearances in this one as well. Here's to making sure I never choose bees as a sign haha! I can't wait to read the next installment in the Sign Series!
