Her Master's Slave: An Ancient Roman Romance Adventure

Rate this book

Born into nobility, sold into slavery, how can Antonia Aliana free herself from Dominicus her new master, wreak her revenge on her treacherous husband, Brutus, and save her father?

“She’d lost everything - her home, her friends, her husband, her status, her freedom – even her name. And now she was just somebody’s slave. Not even a citizen of Rome. No money. No rights. No redress. Aliana felt utterly abandoned and bewildered…One way or the other she’d make sure her master helped her…She felt certain she could do it. Providing, she didn’t have to let him touch her…”

“He’d never ever taken what wasn’t willingly on offer. Not from any woman; slave or otherwise. But the savage in him wanted to take her now, with or without her invitation…And yet there was something more about her that helped him win the battle and overthrow his baser nature. Something he’d recognised at the auction. Something he intuitively knew he’d never discover if he gave in to his cravings and forced himself upon her. No. Instead, Dominicus knew, he needed to exercise persuasion…”

Set during the despotic reign of Emperor Nero, Her Master’s Slave is passionate adventure romance.

It is the first Rome historical fiction romance novel in the 2-book series: Tales from Ancient Rome to Entertain & Enthral. Both books can be read as stand-alones, but Nero is a familiar character in each; bringing chaos, turmoil or salvation depending on his fancy and how bored, diabolical or amenable he happens to be feeling.

If you typically adore Ancient World Romance, alpha-males and capable heroines & the perils of falling in love in such turbulent times, this Tale could well be for you…

Her Master's Slave is fascinating, set in the ancient Roman period with an erotic twist. The storyline with the historical components and the intriguing characters captures and holds the attention. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook; it's original, well written, and quite steamy. Suzanne Ravelle does an excellent job with the narration, capturing the nuance of the characters and the intimate scenes.

This is an audiobook review.
Exciting, full of action, brilliant story, first time with this genre and this is definitely a must read, I found it also very interesting to understand a little of the insights of being a slave. A Nobel woman sold as a slave, the nightmare begins.
The narrator I feel is second too none, first class reading, the way Alex describes the story is very exciting, her mannerisms are superb, she really brings this story to life.
