This book was okay. Sometimes kind of boring and other times quite good.

The illustrations are stunning -- the text entertaining. Definitely worth reading, & I'll keep it to reread.

I learned about this book from a Cape Cod Museum of Art docent talk. It’s a book essays and beautiful engravings published in 1954.
