This was a good story about forgiveness and second chances. I was glad Verity stood up for herself. I ached for her and all that she had gone through and was going through. I didn't connect with Reuben. I felt like he was almost a side character. I would have liked to hear a little more about his journey back to God. This really was Verity's story about learning to forgive.

This was a disappointing story about forgiveness. Verity and Rueben were to get married when he left to make money elsewhere. She thought it would be for 6 months and ended up being 6 years. During the time he was gone Verity did not date anyone else and now she feels she will never marry. Finally he returns but most of the story she doesn’t want to have anything to do with him, which I agreed with. She finally forgives him and hopefully he has changed and is now a better person.

I really enjoy Amish stories so of course I liked this story. Samantha does a great job on anything Amish. This story is well written, faith based, and has a few twists and turns. I know you will enjoy it.
Verity Fisher works for her parents in the family restaurant. She was once engaged and was to be married soon but her fiancee` took off to make money to buy them a home. He promised to be back very soon. That was six years ago and she hadn't heard a word in all that time. She promised to wait and so she did but now all the men her age are already married and she is left with a broken heart. Not only that but he had talked her parents into buy a huge house to turn into a B&B; a place that would soon fall to pieces. Verity's heart has become bitter as she kept thinking of her future.
Reuben King grew up in the Amish community. He was excited about his upcoming wedding but needed money to buy them a home. His Englisher friend talked him into leaving the community and make some easy money. He listened to his friend and left all that he held dear. Reuben got caught up in all the things of the world and has become a millionaire. Soon it was to late to contact Verity. Reuben receives a letter telling him his mother was in the hospital. He returns to find his mother is not ill and he believes it's from Verity. He is furious as he goes to confront her. She is even more beautiful than before and all his feelings came rushing back. The only problem is she is very angry.
A journey of love and forgiveness. She can forgive but how can she forget of trust? Can God bring them together when they have messed up their lives? God has a plan for these two and He can bring them back together. God has a plan for you two but you must give Him control of your lives. "Have faith in God" He will turn your life around.

Do Not Waste Your Time.
Seems to be written for a 6th grade reading class--vocabulary included.
Do not be fooled by the handsome man on the cover. He probably says 15 sentences in the whole book. I did not find this book to be very deep or interesting. I am disappointed because I was hoping to learn a bit about the Amish way of life with a bit of romance, but instead I got to read italicized German words, ostensibly so I would know I was reading about Amish? Not sure.

So this is the story of forgiveness. I am actually quite shocked by the turn of the story. I think if author gave us Reubens perspective it could have helped the story narrative. Cause from the time we encounter Reuben he is shown as an arrogant guy who left Verity for 6 years without a word almost like leaving her at the alter but worse as Verity believed he would return.
When Reuben faces Verity for the first time, he does not even apologise for what he did. And Verity was so hung up on Reuben she was basically living in the past. Things turned around for Reuben so fast I didn’t believe it, thought it was a rouse. She should have forgiven Rueben and moved on with her life cause the story feels like Verity just accepted Reuben cause she wanted to be married and have kids.

In 2015 Samantha Price released the second edition of her Amish Wedding Series Book 1 Impossible Love. I had never red it and like to catch up on books I have missed in in between times. This a tremendous story of love and forgiveness and answered prayers. Gods timing is best. If you have not read this series, give it a try. You will love Verity and Ruben. Thanks Samantha great job. Now to read the rest of this series.

Impossible Love

Forgiveness can be difficult, forgetting even more so. Working through that issue for Verity took some thinking. Presenting the Amish as the only community that would help their neighbors is inaccurate. Many good people exist who help others in many ways. Also, the Amish that I have been around want to have money.

Good story

Impossible Love Amish Romance by Samantha Price is a very good enjoyable read. I felt bad Verity had so much bitterness and anger in her. She finally truly forgives Reuben. I really enjoyed this wonderful story. Give it a try.

Good book

A really good story that stresses the importance of forgiveness and the importance of not being bitter. I liked this story so much and could really empathize with Verity.

He left her 6 years ago to make money for their future. Now he is back, a multi-million are and blaming her for sending a letter to get him back. Verity can no longer trust him, her father doesn't trust him but her mother thinks she should give him another chance. How will Verity react to someone she no longer knows, Does he mean it when he says he wants to return to his Amish Community or will the lure of the Englisch world continue to hold him?

Informative

this was a very good book. I learned something new about the Amish th e y could own a restaurant or a B&B. Also that after living in the English community they can come home no matter how long they are away.

Predictable Amish love story. Price uses her Brethren heritage to portray the difficult scenario of a spurned woman and a man who has been tempted by the Englisch world. When he returns, there are the usual false starts in their relationship, until they finally find their happily ever after.

Impossible love save for the grace of God.

I feel that this story, recounting the Biblical account of the prodigal son, demonstrated the grace of God in an Amish setting.

A love story.

This book was full of suspense. During the book, the Amish girl had conflicting issues about the boy but through talking to the Bishop, she had a change of heart.
